So this is an Average Beat Em Up Fantasy Game? and some of the game play before the Release looked Nice what a shame.
I'm enjoying this one, could be more depurated indeed, but it's ok. Also, makes no sense to me why this game get 2.0 more score that Splatterhouse
The trailer was truly amazing, but the game was mediocre! I feel deceived. GS was right: 6.0- 6.5 is a fair score.
This game is is the result of piracy, such a great story solid combat and great boss fights but unfinished in many ways,so many game developers these days have to budget, release date and sales only to have their works of art sold on torrent sites for free downloads.say no to piracy and we would see the next gen gaming. This game could have been a contender to some of the best titles out there.I will for sure be getting K.C.2
one of the best intros iv'e ever seen. if cut scenes like that was all over the game then it would have been a must get for me at least. it is interesting though.
I'll get this game when its price drops, looks interesting enough. Other games have higher priority right now.
This is a fair review. It's a flawed game which could have been great and is still really fun at times but has a lot of shortcomings.
I'm a graphic designer myself so i gotta say my point out there..This trailer was one of the huuuuuuge factors i got this game at the first place..but...very much disappointed that they put such great effort in producing a magnificent trailer but such unprofessional and unimpressive level design at most of the game..but i gotta admit it that i'm interested in the story though, that's why i'm gonna finish that game..BUT plz guys stop making such awesome trailers then ruining everything u did with such hideuous flaws in a game.
The game is not good enough... But the review is so fantasic to make "knight contract" from bad ass move to nice butt... I don't like the intro :|
Not sold yet, I'll wait until it goes used. Spending too much on new gamws & only about 1/4 is worth keeping..e.if that. I'll be keeping an on on this. My next new purchase going to be "Homefront, that's the truth Here's hoping it rocks anyway!
Looks like it would have been a fantastic game with another few months to half a year in developement, shame. Looks like it's worth a rental or when it hits the bargain bin.
Looks pretty good but I haven't played through God of War III yet.. so this will be on the back burner for me.
Killing enemies with her butt....There's only thing to say here...Big Blue Booty FTW! Hahaha that's freaking hilarious.
Just this review makes me justify a rental. The intro caught me completely off guard. Wish the rest of the game held up to those standards.
@Chris_Watters Oh that explains a lot! I didn't know that reviews go through such a long editing process before they are actually published. I actually thought that everything is done by the reviewer himself. Silly me :P. Thank you very much for taking the time to explain this to me! Btw just to throw it out there, my question was not meant to be a complaint or anything. It was more out of curiosity. Also, if I'm really interested in picking up a game I read the written review as well which does indeed go into more detail ;)
The note says 6.5, but the video review gave me the impression it deserved an 8. Gretchen's AI must really be infuriating.
That intro is probably the most perverse violence you'll see in the game, unless demon-like enemies getting torn apart sets your stomach on edge. @super_csa We don't include scores at the end of video reviews primarily because of our production schedule. The VR has to be recorded many hours in advance of the review posting so the video team can have time to edit it. During that time, the reviewer finishes up the written review, sends it to the copyeditors for grammar and spellcheck, then produces the review on our internal staging site for all the editors to read. During this process, editors offer feedback on the review, pointing out discrepancies, criticising weak points, suggesting improvements, and giving props where props are due. Through this collaborative process we mold the review text and finalize the score, ensuring that we all agree that both are up to the GameSpot standard. This process is timed to be completed around the same time as the VR so the review can go live as soon as possible. Adding in the final score at this point would add extra time to the video production process and delay the review. We want to get the reviews live as fast as we can, so we leave the score inside the written review. It may take an extra click to get to the written review, but it's worth it! Our written text is the definitive review, and it always offers more detailed information and in-depth analysis of the game than the video review, even when the VR is 8 minutes long ;).
@Chris_Watters Great job Chris. Sick intro...Got me to watch the entire 8 minutes. Too bad the game wasn't all that great. Sounds and looks like it actually became bothersome to even play.lol @everyone whining about the score not being mentioned in a somewhat lengthy, yet very insightful review. I believe -in layman's terms- the game kinda sucks even though so much love, thought, and perhaps to a lesser degree expectation, was put in to it. Rather than get the Trolls going on about how it deserves this score or that score or whatever, Chris kinda let you decide for yourself while allowing you to still hear and see his opinion on the game AS A WHOLE. If you still wanted to know you can look it up. 6.5. That's a C. A rather 'Meh' or feeble result. Rent the damn game and decide for yourselves already! Oh... and stop focusing on stupid things like scores.... unless they are IN a game.
at least I'll try it, after reading IGN's review I sentence to death the game. This review made my mind to at least try it
@Chris_Watters Hey Chris, I got a quick question. Why did GameSpot stop putting the review score at the end of the video reviews? Then if any error like that would happen again we would be put out of our misery and get the real score at the end of the video. It's not like GameSpot reviews never had the scores shown at the end so I just don't understand why you stopped that.
Seems Gamespot was way more forgiving on this one than IGN's 3.5 rating. Still, gretchen's AI from what I read at IGN is reeeeeeaaaally stupid. which pretty much ruins the game :( too bad, i had hopes for this one. yet another perfectly good game idea, ruined.
@JustPlainLucas: Yes, good point. Dante's Inferno last year was in my opinion one of those good action rpg-ish games that suffered greatly from bad design, especially at the last stages.
It looks like there are some good ideas there, even killing enemies with her big blue butt (I think that's great), but the color choices are pretty meh and the frustration factor is a put off. At least they put some thought and work into it.
Why does everyone say the graphics look bad ??? Do you have the game ??? Graphics never look that great on a PC on a console game. Even in HD.
