Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - Teeth of Naros Trailer
Here's an exclusive look at the upcoming Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - Teeth of Naros DLC expansion coming soon.
if its pointlesss move on to something else quit wasting your time and our time posting crap about the game news flash man lots of people enjoy it sorry YOU dont enjoy it now move on .
@valdarez Totally. This is what happens when you design agame, and middle way through decide to flop it and change it's whole genre. This game plays like a stale Single Player, but designed like a lifeless MMO. I actually really liked this game at the start, but after you get out of the first cave, it doesn't really get that better. I like the artstyle, but found it incredibly annoying how you feel like a smurf in a giant world. There is no jumping even, which could've made for some great platforming in addition to the fast paced combat, but NOPE. Half game with a big sandbox, really. A shame, I expected so much of this game. Maybe too much.
@1234ritchie I am actually quite busy, thanks for asking. But I always find a good number of minutes a day to read new articles and "moan" about what I don't like. Sorry if I don't worship these games like you do, but I believe constructive criticism is better than your worthless praising nobody cares about, so yeah, there's that.
@supertom221 I hit the level 40 cap as well yesterday and can't see continuing playing now either if they don't open up the cap with this DLC. Like you said, it just feels pointless now. I still have 25% content left too. They really missed the boat when it comes to the level cap.
@supertom This is the third game (Mass Effect 3, AC:R) I have noticed you moaning about, you got nothing better to do with your time? In relation to this, I think it looks great, albeit I will probably wait until its sale as I am currently playing a lot of other games!
@supertom221 Starting a new Character sounds funner than it actually is. Especially if you play in a way you didn't with your first. @valdarez I was implying "The Legend of Dead Kel" and "Teeth of Naros" will add approx 15% more landmass. Devs have said this numerous times. And well for the house of valor it is more of a freebie "DLC" for those who purchased it new. @valdarez Well of course it's about the money as well EA had probably set up theses plans for months ahead of time. The fact is thought it does have to do with development as well since there is that time to work on the DLC before the game goes live.
Absolutely epic! I really need to crack on and complete this game so I can get Dead Kel and then this. I love Amalur, just need to level up - fast!! Have seen a lot of top level Mage abilities on YouTube and they look great. Trying to play as a Jack Of All Trades but wondering if it will allow me to get Meteor and that Ice Blizzard spell...? Anyone know?
@Mr_Mark_Legion Don't listen to @Ringx55 It has nothing to do with understanding how a game is published. It is about money. These companies are businesses and are trying to get the most money they can out of their product. That's it plain and simple. If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it. Thing is it does work, and as long as we pay them, they'll continue to do it. So far this company has done it right basing it of the Dead Kel DLC. Quite honestly, as big as this game is, it doesn't bother me one bit that they are trying to get more $$$ out of it, as long as I'm getting a reasonable experience from it, and thus far their DLC has delivered from a size, time, experience on par, and in some instances, better, than the original game.
@Ringx55 Each DLC so far has added 15% more landmass? What else is there beyond Dead Kel? Was the Valor one a DLC (know I had it from day one, so can't remember). If so, it definitely didn't add 15% land mass. Added an arena, small area to enter arena, a few merchants, and a new house/stash for you. Dead Kel, on the other hand, had quite a large area to explore. I was very well pleased with the LoDK expansion.
@push88 They have a LOT of content, but they spent VERY little time on direction during cut-scenes which goes a long ways towards bringing a story to life in a video game. Combine that with the horrendous, all but non-existent, lip synching for the I'm standing here, you're standing there dialogue and it ends up being a fairly mediocre story telling experience and thus long term gaming experience. It's such a shame to as the voice acting is top notch. With proper lip synching and a little camera work they could have really taken the game to the next level.
Legend of Dead Kel was great, and the price + game content was a good match which is something you don't see most of the time. Really looking forward to this next week!
At least the DLC so far has been cheap and actually gave you a good amount of content. More importantly it seems like an actual expansion of play, rather than content that might have been cut from the vanilla game.
I'm actually very content with this game. I haven't downloaded any DLC's yet because there is already alot in the game itself. I can't wait to start downloading these they look very interesting and exciting.
I got bored with this game really fast.Theres a reason it has a metacritic score of 81 and 60 as opposed to GOTY Skyrim 91 and 81.Dont waste your money in my opinion.Flame away if you don't agree with my opinion.
DLC is a solid way to keep a game fun and current between sequels/expansions. If you don't like it, fine - but you're missing out on some really fun content. Being against it out of principle is just silly. Why did you buy the game when you could've waited for the price to drop or even downloaded it off a torrent site for free? How is that any different?
I want to like this game so bad but I played the demo and I couldn't get into it. I'm still not sure why.
Ummm... Mr. Double_Wide? Amazon sells Borderlands GOTY for $30... oops I even saw it as low as $22... woopsie
Went through the main game and Dead Kel as well. Looking forward to this! Havent had this much fun in a game in awhile!
@Joshuatree25m well said my friend. as a gamer, i despise fanboys.. games are meant to be played. if you like it, good. if you dont, there are others..
That's all well and good, but I'd rather they'd postpone their DLC's and start patching some of those gamebreaking bugs, like the fast-travel nullifier from Her Righteous Fury.
@lowkey254 You missed a good opportunity to last week for a cheep price. Gamestop had a two day sale on it and Borderlands:GOTY addition....it was just $40. It was too good of a bargin to pass up. I haven't started it yet but I'm just glad to get it so early for a low price.
@Mr_Mark_Legion you are right in your assertion, this is a business, and they are trying to make money. The staff for BHG and 38 Studios who made the Reckoning game is 400 people. That's a lot of mouths to feed, and checks to write. They are gamers trying to make content gamers would like so they can put bread on the table. Have you beaten Reckoning yet? I spent nearly 135 hrs doing everything I could and I still missed content. The DLC even at level 40 was one of the best DLC's I've ever purchased and kept me busy for days. The only down side for me was the lack of difficulty on the final boss. Finally, it's optional content, no one is forcing you to spend $80-90 for a 200 hr game, if you want to go to watch LOTR for 12 hrs in the theater you still have to pay for each film, this is no different.
its funny that they put so much effort on things that require you to look up in order to see in a game that wont let you look up. other than that, fun game; i wonder how many expansion they are planning..
@Mr_Mark_Legion You have no idea how game's get published and released do you? After the main game is finished there is A LOT of time between it getting certified, published, and the legal work and the Q&A / bugs. During that time and the time of release there is a lot of time to work on something for a large majority of the studio. So instead of just sitting there they actually work on the DLC that is planned months ahead. DLC is not inertly a bad thing and you don't understand that. Each DLC so far has added 15% more landmass (considering the size of Reckoning, that's huge!) dozens of quests, weapons, armours, characters, and houses / cities. If you like a game, complete the main story line what's wrong with wanting DLC? DLC is a great way to continue your story and continue enjoying the game. And many gamers would rather have it that way instead of completing the single player game and calling it a day. As many reviews had said for "The Legend of Deal Kel" DLC if the rest are like it keep it coming! TL;DR: DLC is a good thing if done right and nothing is inherently wrong with it. And BHG had done a great job with past DLC.
good for you @Mr_Mark_Legion, but id rather buy several good DLC then buy one bif x-pack, You just dont know what your missing out on by being so prideful ;p
Arghhh Witcher 2 Dark Edition, and this DLC not sure which I will be playing first. The Legend of Dead Kel was fun, and had some meat too it but felt like any other part of the game (with the exception of the keep). so unless this has some new enemies, or skills, not sure if I will play this... yet.
