Cool i was getting so bored with total war, i have enough reality in my every day life, wtf is the point of having my games about the same crap that i studied about in school. I honestly feel sorry for people that can't let go of reality and enjoy the what if, you must truly be some boring A$$ people.
hmmm well i was looking forward to seeing the trailer hoping it would live up to what i was expecting...but sadly i'm very very very disappointed!! Why do they always have to put a magical spin on what could be Great RPG, or RTS games.....? King Arthur yes to that time magic was told to be a big thing but not on the scale of stupidity this trailer provokes. Why couldn't they keep it simple and lets have a cross between Age of Empires, Stronghold and Seven Kingdoms.....with the King Arthur spin, set in the land, the time. I am sad to say i wont be going near this game with a barge pole. I know this will be awesome and a spectacle of genius but the whole wild magic spin ruins it for me.
My god, what a load of crap! Arthur was not a king for starters,he was a leader that united the warring tribes of Britainnia when the romans left.He organised them so they could meet the threat of the invading Saxons (the ancesstors of the English),himself being either a native celtic briton or of noble roman blood. He kept the Saxon advance in check for 30 yrs (roughly) after defeating them at the battle of Baddon hill.He did not fight orcs, elves, midgets or whatever else this game would have you believe. If you want a more historicalk account then its probably better you play rome total war.leave this pile of steaming sh*t to the warcrafters!
This game offers some strategy components but if your into this lord of the rings stuff i guess this is the game for you. I personal will stick to Total War
I'm going to buy this game and if it disappoints me i'll just uninstall it. I love Medieval/Dark Ages era games. But to judge this early is IMO premature. At present i'm doing DAO and loving it.
Having finally seen this game in action, I can say it's nothing more than a clone of Kingdom Under Fire, just with some annoying bugs.
Learning this game uses Steam was a complete turn-off. The game looks great but my experience using Steam is something to be desired. Error. Error.
Nice game! If you look closely you'll see that it has lots of strategy components that not all THE STRATEGY games have! Not bad at all!
I'll buy this as Christmas present for myself :) Like very much the Merlin serie what is in second season now and this seems goodie now =)
Dragon Age is better than this game have better graphics and history line also but is a good game if you can save some money or just don't paid your phone bill like me and buy it lol..
If you want less fantasy play Total War games. Pretty stupid thing to request in a game based around fantasy
i have to say for a game with little or no hype this game has me intriged...actually looking forward to this game's release to see if it is good...sure looks thats way...was waiting for a good total war kinda game...
I want be a King in a game and do a little war but not that much. And more ruling and calling the shots and also have like hundreds of wives and call who lives or dies with a good story line and role play.
@Radisicsale yeah that guy does look exactly like the witch king at first sight i though it was gona be a game about the witch king until i saw the lettering king arthur probably gona have to wait for the reviews on this one if none comes out then well youtube gameplays :D
I'll be keeping an eye on this one. It looks right up my alley but I must see some reviews before considering it.
Looks like it could be like Viking. Viking had a lot of units on the screen at a time with very little lag trouble. I hope King Arthur isn't as linear though.
i see that it need i7 intel new processor (a lot of units& particles)...gameplay it's like total war
in my opinion this is Total war + age of mythology's spells and creatures..still it shows some good potential :) i`ll definitely try it :)
I agree with previous comments regarding the Total War series. An update to the Vikings expansion coded for 2008/09 machines would be far superior to this.
What if anything does this have to do with the legend of Arthur? Personally, the moment I saw the oversize anime sword and the ridiculous armour it ceased to be an option for me. They've built a gorgeous world, and the concept for magic seems cool, but it would've been way more interesting if they had attempted to depict early dark age tech and combat based on known artefacts and accounts rather than this sort of manga / graphic novel / anime flavour. Again, for myself, if I want Lord of the Rings, I'll go to Tolkien.
role playing war game? what the hell is that? this game will be beaten by Empire Total war since they are coming out the same time, so this game will be a failure...
