Killzone has a great story, the thing is that they never show it us properly so not all the people can notice this, i hope that with this new entry they improve their storytelling or make some kind of retrospective video that helps to explain the story and more people could enjoy the game even better
Looks interesting but going to wait for reviews to get this one. I'm not a huge FPS fan but the story and setting look appealing to me.
Looking good. I really hope they've finally got some help on the writing front this time. Guerilla have had some great ideas with the previous games. I really believe they could've been modern masterpieces. They've just never quite hit the mark with the story telling.
Do you guys think I could make this my first Killzone game and still know what's going on? Or should I play 1-3 first?
and activision says that COD: ghosts runs on a new "next-gen" engine... OK activision, take one look at this game and tell me that yours is truly deserving of being called "next-gen"
@dekdk Although not absolutely needed, I'd think of picking up KILLZONE 2 & 3 (both were recently on sale at a certain store for $5/ea.). KILLZONE 3 has one of the most atmospheric and fun scifi MP's I've ever played. In fact, it lured me away from the BF4 beta. But as far as story goes... it's pretty simple to pick up -- think Germany in WWI, then the nationalism and build-up to WWII, and now the Cold War, a divided Berlin. Have to say, I was never interested in this series until I played 2 & 3 a few weeks back. Now I can't wait to see SHADOWFALL.
@dekdk no your fine Killzone was never to strong on story and guerilla games knows this, so you should be able to just hop right in. They're trying to make it appeal to a wider audience now. But just because the story was never it's strong point it was still a great experience to have. I would say that killzone 2 had one of the funnest campaigns I had ever played in a shooter.
@dekdk I was just thinking the same thing?
