This guy clearly doesnt know how to ask questions about the game. Another worthless idiot on gamespot.
They have some interesting lighting effects. Graphics are looking way good. I'm excited for this game. I've always loved the killzone franchise. The "brutal kills" as introduced in the last killzone are so tight.
the only thing about kill zone is the campaign the PvP sucks the maps are way to small mite as well make an arena type of game they also don't have co-op this would be great for this game
What makes this look so much better than all the Killzone games that came before it, in terms of visuals, is that it's just not got some stupid "cinematic" monotone green/gray/brown filter shoved over everything. The world actually has some genuine color, light and aesthetic appeal to it. I'd actually like to just walk around and look at this world and take everything in. The other Killzone games were technically accomplished but they were just visually bland and soulless imo. I hope more developers understand and embrace this idea of making their worlds visually appealing and attractive to look at and take in, as opposed to be designed just to take advantage of and show off the latest completely soulless graphics technology, as we move forward into this next-gen.
Wow, cat-faced helgast. Looks like henchman for "the claw" from the inspector gadget cartoon! What? The inspector is getting a rifle, and a gadget-bot sidekick? Awesome!!! Totally buying this game!
Danny, like the rest of gamespot should just go away. The only reason people come too this website anymore is because of the name and because they give hyped games low scores.
this has always been my favorite single player campaign series i hope they don't do to much to that formula i love! the atmospheres in killzone 2 and 3 were super intense...just great stuff look forward to this
I love that they left the dark atmosphere of the previous titles. I just hope the gameplay mechanics feel more fluid this time.
GREAT to HEAR.... a much more Intelligent Game need to use your brain. That is what I like I hope it holds true.
Killzone A.I. has always been good, a cut above. I hope they not only continue to keep the A.I. great I hope they bring a new level of A.I.
This is a first generation, possibly Alpha build, and looking this good running at 30fps in 1080p. Imagine how much better 2nd generation games on this system will be!
While I don't like to read too much into and treat rumours as facts... how interesting, Sony's seemingly headed the same way as MS... If that's true that's a point off Sony's edge.
What I did notice however is that you can see a lot of LOD and texture popping in which is a bit off-putting. It's kinda subtle but still obvious at the same time. If you're gonna have a game that's kinda all about showing off all this brand new cutting edge graphics and tech you really need to nail those kinds of things otherwise it sorta undermines all the other achievements in the rest of the ares of the graphics imo.
@Ravenlore_basic Whats with recent shooters having stupid AI? I just played the original Crysis today and it was sad realizing that while not as smooth or good looking they operate almost exactly the same as the ones in Crysis 3. not only that but they are much more lethal than the idiots you have to fight in the other two games. Another example of sub-par AI are Metro Last Light. In 2033 they were actually really sensitive and hard to stealth kill but in the new one they hardly bat an eye at a lightbulb shattering above their head and they can see you in the middle of a lit room for like two seconds and then forget about you as you awkwardly leave
@WantYouBad i think kz2 is better than kz3. in terms of gameplay and multiplayer
@WantYouBad Killzone has a weak story but as a FPS it is pretty good
@WantYouBad I love killzone
@MVan86 How is that? no restrictions on second hand games you dont have to sign in online to register your game and the new console will be faster and cheaper.........
@davidsworld3 The are bullet holes.
@davidsworld3 So you buy games based on if they make bullet holes in walls? the game still has 5-6months left of development as well you know.
@davidsworld3 Let's see you give a presentation in-front of 1000's of people putting the last few years of your life out for them to tear apart. If you wouldn't be nervous then there is something psychologically wrong with you.
@stealthyninja81 Well it would be nice to make a decent profit. These games aren't made cheap. And yes, games do need to be good to sell well. And it doesn't mean new/different games shouldn't be made, just look at indie games, and look at people online, they're dying for something new. Killzone, is neither a new style of game or a well selling game.
and that's bad? so if it doesn't ship a million units its considered a failure? no wonder devs don't want to experiment and create new stuff, cause apparently if it doesn't sell a million copies it never should have existed!
