WOW, the person doing the playthrough can´t control the game for s..., I don´t understand how a reviewer can play that bad. I mean, I mainly play on my pc (GTX 780/mouse+keyboard), and I still manage a smooth transition to using analogs on a small device like a PS Vita.
IMHO, whoever was playing that demo, should try to get used to the controls first, it doesn´t look professional and kind of gets in the way of talking about the way it feels to play the game, it looks like a Woodcutter trying to do brain surgery on a patient.
These guys are like 2 critics that would say a 5 star restaurants food wasn't up to their standards. Let me say this LOUD AND CLEAR. these guys ruthlessly pick a great game like this apart so they can seem smarter than you (the honest gamer) He didnt even know the triangle button can be used instead of the touch screen.
I NEVER use the touch screen except for the vital stuff. The melee and the vanguards..... The multi player when your on a roll using all the vanguards that require touch screen is an incredibly satisfying skill....that you develop. these clowns probly fumbled around the controller purposefully so they could have something to say for this snoody review.
this game is an amazing accomplishment. I cant stop playing the beta. I take my vita with me to the bathroom to the couch and to my bed now cuz Im hooked.
DONT LET THIS REVIEW PERSUADE YOU TO PASS THIS GAME UP!
The game is great! Even on beta.
The controls are fine and work great, I didn't see any lag on it with the actions when you press a key. I am not sure what he is talking about on the video of it being a pain with the touch screen because it works flawlessly I think.
They are just too used to the PS3 concept and that controller that they are being a bit too close minded that it is on a handheld device and it is AMAZING!
I think everyone should try it out.
Needless to say it is STILL a BETA.
Im playing the beta now. It's great. Absolutely amazing graphics on a handheld. Controls work well, and the maps are designed with the small player count in mind. Dont let that fool you into thinking its bad, though. Online is very, very fun.
you can double tap the back to sprint im in the open beta now and you can double tap the back and sprint.
Would have been better to have sprint as a double tapping the back but otherwise none of it bothers me. You can use triangle for pretty much everything except for slow-motion melee and some special inputs. None seemed to obtrusive. Looking good to me can't wait for release
woot woot I got my key today for open beta! cant wait. does anyone know when they are going to update the ps store?
Based on this, the game's an easy skip for me. Sony is frustrating the hell out of me. Just drive a goddamn truck full of money into From Software's parking lot already! NO MORE STUPID RISKS, DO WHAT WORKS!
And just look at these folks being offended by the criticism towards the game. Keep the Vita shitty, gentlemen!
Why do they insist in comparing a handheld game to a console game I will never know.
I have also yet to come across anything Tom Mc Shea has done without instantly find him annoying and wondering how he has still go this job.
this editors are crazy. its a handheld game yet they keep comparing it to ps3 version. i think the game looks great and it will play well
I know they (kind of) point out in the video, that you can use triangle for a lot of the actions in the game, but apparently the guy in the video was not aware of that as he was using the touchscreen (instead of triangle) to pick up ammo all the time. Don't complain about having to use the touchscreen too much when in fact you don't have to, but just didn't realize it until after you played it...
This game makes me want a PS Vita. It also makes me want a chocolate brownie with walnuts. Not sure which I'm going to get. Decisions, decisions...
Man those guy hate the game, This is one PS Vita game that everybody wanted, but they think it Sony last hope for PS Vita. I'm looking forward to this game
That Tom guy is a complete pleb. First he had no idea you could use triangle to activate/pickup items. Then he states he doesn't like touching the Vita screen. I bet he's exactly the sort of guy who moans when hardware doesn't get fully utilised.
looks really good. Probably a 7.0-8.0 score, with a 7.5 likely. Multipayer should be fun with true dual analog control.
why are you comparing a handheld game to a console game thats just stupid on your part.. and as for the touch screen as you clearly noticed its optional to use it for interactions no need to be whinning about it
imo fps arent really meant for handhelds seeing that they want to add stuff to use with the touchscreen but it nds up being annoying or uncomfortable
I hope they were playing on the "Beginner" difficulty setting! The player was just ambling around, taking his sweet time to shoot each enemy and showing precious little concern for the damage he was taking. Where's the excitement in that?
it looks like a 7,5 or 8,0.....I hope that there is more than that for the vita, how long should we wait for a GOW game or Metal Gear ????
I just don't get why they don't make real analog sticks? Maybe you press a button and they pop up, then you can click them flat back in the system when not playing... They just can't get these things right with all the smart people working and designing these products.
I think it look brill & just hope that it plays as well as it looks! ........ its about time that ps vita has a decent game that's not a regurgitation or PSN indie but one designed for the superbe bit of hardware - Fingers X'd this is the one!!
The game looks great, but I've come to expect that from the Vita. It seems to play well, but we'll see how it fares on release.
@bjornborgue Based on what.. play the game. You obviously haven't at the time of you writing this. It's f*&^ing amazing!
@bjornborgue your full of it. just got the beta. its sick man. solid framerate, smooth shooting and super satisfying when you kill someone. get a vita ...buy this game.
@beatkuettel no shit. they probaly played the demo once and then jump to bash the game.
@AgentRaven77 this editors suck bro. they game is great and the multiplayer is very good. they forget this is a portable game not a console game yet they still review it like one.
@Digital_DJ_00 have you played the beta?
@Digital_DJ_00 And a 9.9 from IGN.
@proceeder Word that!!
@tomrob1 I don't know why you said he had no idea about the triangle, while he clearly stated the touch screen interaction could also be performed by pressing the triangle button at 1:20.
@ISxITxSAFE It certainly seems that way sometimes, don't it?
@fedetaco The prob with th vita is tht you will most likely only develop exclusives on it and it's not profitable. Sony should aim for a less powerfull handheld and focus more on game experience vs development cost.
@theoasis77 the Vita does have true mini analog sticks. Just no "click down" control method like on the consoles.
@tom2750 KZ3 was pants, a real let down after 2 & the graphics were just meh as was the game play (especially the bottle neck MP). This looks great for the Vita and the reason people are getting excited as its shaping up to be a sexy little game made exclusively for the portable - some thing that despite being over a year old, the PSVita is sadly lacking!!
@tom2750 people aren't impressed with the graphics overall, they are impressed with the graphics for a handheld device. Considering what the vita has under the hood, yeah this looks good for a hand held
@CraigNinten No. Chris clearly states that. Then Tom - who has supposedly played the game - goes along with it pretending he did know. The guy is clueless.
@Sarijon @tom2750 kz3 graphics meh? you either don't play on a HD TV or you do play on a HD TV but you don't have your ps3 connected to your HD TV with a HDMI cable the cable that comes with the ps3 doesn't support HD picture quality you need a HDMI cable to get the best picture quality and if your are using your ps3 on a HD TV and have it connected with a HDMI cable then you don't have your ps3 set up to out put picture quality in HD you need to go to the settings on the ps3 and change the picture to output in 720p 1080i and 1080p then you will have the best quality if you do play on a HD TV and you have your ps3 connected to your HD TV with a HDMI cable and you have the ps3 set up to out put in high definition and you still think kz3 looks meh then I am afraid you need to go to an eye doctor and have your eye sight tested
@tom2750 .....as I said "MEH" ....... you make a lot of invalid assumptions, MEH I say comprende....
