To what Samir Staic said i think that they will find some way to prevent that.. bcus that would be one of the first things that comes to mind when you are the undercover cop. And the guys making the game test it.. so they will find a way to prevent it, then some people will find a way to avoid that.. btw if i were the cop (and had grenade lawn-chair) i would step back 15 feet and BAM! I got all the criminals killed! Lol
that was a problem with the first one. Hopefully you can turn it off. I don't mind cursing but it took away from the game. over used it
@Psycold: in a interview one of the project leaders said that the first game was difficult cus the next gen systems JUST came out and trying to optimize that kind of technology was difficult cus they had no previous work for it to format on...but now since much time as passed and they now know how to really utilize todays gaming systems....i got a really good vibe about this one...AS LONG AS THEY HAVE AN MONEY UPGRADE SYSTEM AS I PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED
this would great if the money u steal can be saved up like points and used as actually currency to unlock equipment, upgrades, and customizations for peoples character to fit their profile...i really really hope they thought about that...cus CoD:MW leveling system is bogus
@Lonewolf2785 - You're right, but people have absolutely every right to be skeptical of this game because it's a sequel based on a game that failed to meet almost all of the criteria you listed. The best part about the game was by far the storyline and it's characters. I can't say I didn't enjoy playing the first one but I expected so much more from it. My most major gripes weren't with the controls, they were with the game-play as a whole, I just feel like Io Interactive owes us a demo before we run out to the store.
So easy for people to forget it isn't graphics that make a good game it's a combo of story, game play and GRAPHICS that make a game good.
I dunno why everyone hates the first one so much. OK i get it, the graphics are mediocre, the controls are sketchy, the Cover is absolutely useless and the AI is dumber then a box of rocks, but sh!t the STORY was completely immersing. if Kane and Lynch were in a movie, no one would b!tch. "It was hot, i couldnt see very good." "SO YOU KILLED EVERYONE!?" Epic. Even the multiplayer was fun if you had a group of people who didnt just kill you at the start.
I'd better start rehearsing my stories..."We get to the station and we're waiting for the guy. I'm carrying the weed in one of those little carry-on bags. I got to take a piss. So I tell the connection I'll be right back, I'm going to the boys' room. So I walk in the mens' room, and who's standing there? Four Los Angeles county sheriffs and a German shepherd."
The ideas a really cool, but it is looking like it will be hard to play the game with all of this stuff going on and people will go nuts and start killing everyone :)
Screw you Gamespot. Why would you go and once again plaster the site with Kane and Lynch ads. Nothing good will come from this. We all know Eidos used Gamespot to get a high score, obviously backfired. Now if Gamespot gives this game a good score, I for one will not trust it. If they give them a low score, someone will get fired.
@ RadicalToenail I agree entirely. Good graphics are a great bonus, but the real determinant is always the gameplay.
Very interesting multiplayer mode. Currently the game doesn't "look" amazing, but it certainly sounds like it will be great. 'sides, a game doesn't have to look pretty to be a great game. Deus Ex is still fun as hell to play.
The new style Kane and Lynch 2 is following already showed me this could be a unique game among a saturated market of shooters. Now this multiplayer mode might not only not only had more new stuff to the serie like to the whole genre, just like @ rebornile said.
With all the advertisement gamespot is already doing for a game that's 3 months away I pray for whoever is going to review this game.
Looks terrible. Is it supposed to? I get all the lines across the screen, but not the ancient character models.
Hopefully this is better than AO2 40th day, oh yeah and hopefully it's better then the first kane & lynch cause that was bad too.
Wow, The second one is coming out and I didn't even unwrap the first one, when it was first released..grrr :/
I'm thinking this is gonna be a good game. The atmosphere, the handi-cam style, the dreary underworld setting; so far it all looks like they're going to pull it off. The multiplayer looks real nice, too. Not like the generic crap we get with every other game we buy. TDM, CTF, Domination, Bomb; this one's going to be different and it looks like they'll be diverging from the mainstream market in a good way.
at 1:03 the guy kinda looks like Christian Bale but with long hair and a beard. lol i think he was the rat!
I love the whole "Don't trust anyone" vibe in this game's multiplayer. It really makes you feel like a true criminal
If your playing this on live what will happen if a party member tells the other people who killed them (undercover cop)? That could be a big problem if it isn't thought of, they could disable it like call of duty
@eminem197795 he he hee, I should clarify. I'm one of those Irresponsible "old guys" who really shouldn't be playing video games at this age etc. :) But what can I say, you put a gritty looking, violent, bloody adult themed co-op game like Kane and Lynch 2 on the table and I'm going be more interesting in enjoying the game's story than I am some overhyped piece of Hollywood cr*p. Those actors you hate in movies with stories like this game's? Ever find yourself watching a movie wishing you could just put them down with a couple of shots to the head? That's why I'm more of a fan of gaming than simply watching ;). And yes, alas, my wife has come onboard as a brutal little co-op buddy. This game should be fun.
