There is a game that shows up right before Bastion when he's talking about the evolution of Xbox live. It's really pretty. Anybody know the title?
Who is the interviewer? Oh, the Microsoft Public Relations department? This is a commercial not an interview.
I'm just kind of worried about the longevity of the Xbox One. The thing isn't even off the shelves yet and it already can't play one of the least demanding games in 60FPS at a moderna resolution. Sure, the devs will learn how to get more out of the hardware as the generationgoes on, but the fact that it's already showing weakness in game performance is worrying to say the least. Hopefully the new consoels won't go to shit as fast as the PS3 and Xbox 360 did.
I know us "GAMERS" like to shit on anyone wearing a suit or works for M$, but Phil Spencer seems to have his cards in order. The Xbox One has great exclusives for launch and great games down the pipe. I suggest before you comment at least watch the interview and judge for yourself.
It was a good interview not only because he wasn't in the big sales pitch mode, but also because he didn't say anything stupid or flame worthy. Microsoft needed that for a change.
A very honest interview. I really wish more interviews were like this, and less a PR scheme to talk up their own studio/game.
I think Ryse is just to showcase what the new system can do. From the gameplay I have seen it doesn't look good, just button mashing till a prompt tells you to press a button for a QTE. Those types of game's aren't terrible (Remember Me etc) but gameplay is pretty bland.
I don't know what to think! In all honesty, I believe this console release for either company has and can't be a good one ... hardware issues, going back on their words once and again ... talking about offline when the intend is online, marketing studying users on their own living rooms to later on selling their data and have them spammed with adds ... rent games with a monthly fee ... it's hard for me to digest.
Great interview!!! Phil Spencer rulez!!! MICROSOFT has a vision unlike SONY and part of it is presented in this interview!!! Good job!!!
I especially like the part where he's talking about unconnected gamers and he references two DOWNLOADABLE games as having great offline experiences.
@zerofrust well thats how you will die.
@blobby-blobby you got a point there. Personally, I don't like those games. Because it's not a game, it's simply interactive-drama.
@blobby-blobby Agreed. I think it will be a game that is fun to watch, not necessarily fun to play. Eye candy. If the story, music, action are fun and cinematic, it can still be a good entertaining experience, but it might not be that fun to actually play it. But sometimes a good experience like that can help one overlook the lack of gameplay if everything else is executed beautifully, but usually that means the story needs to be solid and well written. We'll see what happens when the reviews are in.
I like your username.. lol
@BaDMantra Take a deep breath and step away from the ledge.
@djmellowd sony is just riding the xbox bashing train. they are just sitting back waiting for an opportunity the poke fun of any bit of news. and then keep their moths shut. i like playstation but the way they do business is very foreign.
What is MS's vision. Bleed as much cash from their gamers as they can. We all know thats the real vision on the AdBox 180.
@djmellowd I like Albert Penello's interviews a little more - he seems to be more open and less PR.
@whatthegeek ya me too....the last console i bought was a PS2.....and still play it thank you very much
