Interstellar Marines For The Love of the Game Movie
Take an inside look at Interstellar Marines.
Though I think the name could've been better, and the shark with legs is a little odd I really like what they're doing. Who knows, maybe this (in time) will be the next Halo. Keep it up!
I loved the game HELLGATE LONDON also and was a founder of the game with a lifetime subscrition. Well we all know where that game is after about 16 months its in the toilet. This game looks great but if it lasts longer then a year and don't cost a ton of money to play online? This might be a great game so lets see a demo or something more than a few people telling us how great the game they designed is? If you watch closely they do ask for poeple to founder the game so they can make it to a full launch. I had done that with Hellgate London and there company went down to bankruptcy and folded. Now if a game like Delta Force Extreme can be played online for free after paying for the game (its been online for at least 10 years) why cant other games do the same? After all they are not cheap to buy!
this just gave me so much faith for this game. i love independent movies, much more than big budget... maybe the same is true for games....
yeah they are danish :) like me I can hear that in the strange english accent. sounds like a good game
I remember seeing the first video for this game BEFORE the 360 was even released. It was called "Project IM" for a long time.
I first ordered this game on 10/28/2006, hoping that it would be released within a short period of time! I am really encouraged that these guys are committed to making this game and I will continue to support their efforts!
It looks like it will turn out very well. From what we've been shown, they really put a lot of hard work into this.Looking forward to it.
I'd really like to see the way this turns out. Because what he said is true sadly - you start out with an original idea, but once you go to the big corporations for support, they take virtually everything from you and leave you with nothing but scraps. If these guys can make their vision a reality, then that would be an EPIC WIN not only for them, but for all of us gamers.
I almost started crying, our days are coming ladies and gents. This goes beyond the hardware and joysticks yall. This could spawn into a new approach to everything you consume. We won't miss the money hungry suckas out there anymore. cheers to zero point thanks for inspiring me at least~
Keep in mind, when they (or him in this case) create music, he uses a program and not a choir or anything like that. Program only!
@ Inflamed-snake...You have good points there. However, if you are going to correct someone else, you should at least make sure your correction is, well, correct. Zero Point came together before 2006, as evidenced by the first video on Gamespot from them, in 2005. The video on this page even states that the concept began in 2003.
Wow another danish developer.. Interesting :) Oh, and do you remember Mount & Blade? For fans of the genre, that game was a huge success and it was made by a small group of gamers from Turkey - kind of like this game.
@ Hjindee. Zero Point Software has been around since late 2006 i would hardly call them a new company. They just have a smaller team so the game is talking a while to be completed. I remember watching the original trailer years ago and i got so exited about it and i thought it had been dropped, im so happy to hear that its still coming.
Guys, your attitude has to be to do or not to do! Make a game with a rating of 9 or better or make it not.
I aggree with most of these comments. I hope they do make a good job they seem to have very good enthusiasm which i love to see. The only problem is, if they dont show any gameplay movies then they will lose fans before its even hit the shelves.
Show the gameplay or trailer already ..... jeez ........... all just talks, talks and more talks ........ sigh!
I love these guys' attitudes and hope this game comes out with as much acclaim as they have enthusiasm. I wish all games were made like this.
That's odd... but funny... 00:28; if you look at the wall you'll notice a picture of two ODSTs from the live-action Halo Planetfall short.
even if this game suck I will buy it to support their ideas. Publishers are in many ways roots of all thats evil in the video game genre, they set specific prices and neglect the reasoning that normal markets has. They take most of the income and give far to little back to the developers. Unfinished games are almost always a publishers fault because the want the game out as soon as possible thus releaseing unfinished games. Games that are released too soon is the developers and gamers burden. Now you have to look real good to find a game where they arent releasing huge patches to make the game playable, right after release. Sometimes even the same day as release.
To ravagerXI Dont forget about Valve. There American and they are composed of gamers who actually encourage modding, since they create mods for their own games.
I think its a neat idea. I'm pretty anxious about this game.. ben watchign out for this for a while now.. eep up the work guys!
Its good to hear a Company thats in it for the game/Community not Just the money, because in time the Money will flow! I Like the sound of Things to come and the Great points the Team have made are the Reasons im a Gamer and love my hobbie! Good Luck Guys and Girls I Wish Every Developer Had The Same Kind of Attitude You Have!
If you are rooting for these guys, you really should go to their website and drop some cash. They are being funded partly on gamers prepurchasing, and if you buy the spearhead package, you bought the entire trilogy they have planned. Plus, you see the guys in this video? There's no forum yet, but if you ask a question in the comments section, these guys answer it.
non-american game producers (all of the american game producers nowadays dont even play games, they are the old guys in suits telling us what we like),true gamers trying to create a true game, thats pure win and how classics are made
Everybody, visit the site http://www.interstellarmarines.com/ and sign up, upgrade to whatever you want! Support the game like i did! Proud Spearhead member right here! ;D
Thumbs up, for small developers! Even if it gets a fair game, I want to get this. Just to support thouse who dare go against the "big ones" :)
