Insane Announcement Trailer
Guillermo del Toro, director of Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth, is creating Insane, an original trilogy of triple-A games.
Woah! It looks awesome! Hopefully it's not like "Saw" which is full of blood and pointless torture :P
What a shame it was axed even thou we all weren't sure on the outcome seeing if this would have been any good.. guess we'll never know.
Could someone please explain to me what the heck that meant? All I got was a couple of creepy, faded words and some close ups of some mutated freak from Alien.
why in god's name would they make a trailer for a game that is literally not going to be out for several years? i mean like, it's not even going to be on this generation of consoles by the sounds of it. plus there's absolutely no way the game could live up to three more years of hype.
I have a good feeling about this... I saw Guillermo Del Toro speak about this project & I liked what he had to say about it. He is doing this b/c he is a gamer & is a huge video game fan. Some of the games he likes are Left 4 Dead, Red Dead Redemption, Portal, Dead Space, Half Life, Call Of Cthulhu, Bioshock, Uncharted, to older games such as Marathon, Myth, & I think he mentioned Doom & Alice. Hes played video games his whole life, so that is what keeps me interested. If you are a gamer, then you know what is good, what works, what doesn't work, & what is going to interest other gamers. If you guys are skeptics about this project, like what thepyrethatburn wrote, you might want to pick up a copy of gameinformer #214, it has an interview on him & this project. What also interests me is that he has a big role in being a part of this project & seeing it play out right. The game is placed in an H.P. Lovecraft universe. So, no, this game will be nothing like Prototype, or Infamous, it will be far from those types of games
@burock76 I say that because of the surrounding effects of the organic stuff and electric ''deTAILS''
@rhatik how and where did you get the impression that it looks like infamous and prototype? I get the feeling that this will be something worth playing.
I liked Pan's Labyrinth but it should be pointed out here that game making and film making are two different things. Chris Roberts was the father of Wing Commander yet the movie failed. James Cameron, when he tried to direct the Avatar video game, ended up with a flop. I'm not saying that Del Toro will fail but, much like Yahtzee said, movie-making cred doesn't mean too much when creating a video game. We'll see how this works out.
why are people saying it looks like a rip of infamouse and prototype just because part of the title has 'in' in it that makes no sense thats like saying gears of war is a rip of god of war cos the tittles are simuliar how about we wait till we see atleast some gameplay or just a story trialer of some kind
they had me wait for like 2 an a half years for alan wake and it was amazing lets see if this wait pays off as well
@GamerLegend10 No. No it wasn't. It may not have appealed to your personal taste, but that film is and was a critical success. Are you aware of the definition of "fail"? Or "taste"?
Sweet! Guillermo is the man! If he can bring to consoles some of the magic he gave us in "The Devil's Backbone", "The Orphanage", and "Pan's Labyrinth" just to name a few, then this ought to rock.
have no idea what is going on in this video but it creeped me out and I want to know more about this game ASP
