I'd Rather Be Playing Hardline: Battlefield 4's New Dragon's Teeth add-on - The Lobby
Aaron talks about the improvements in the fourth expansion from Battlefield 4, and why at the end of the day he'll just keep playing Hardline.
Jim Sterling just had a great episode about this fake cycle of apology from devs. "Sorry the last game sucked you're right but not this next one." Lies.
Seriously, what a boring map. No wonder I stopped playing after Bad Company 2, these developers are out of touch to what we want.
I'd be cool with a game like Battlefield costing say $15-20 more on the front end to give everyone who buys access to all the DLC that will come out rather than the current model of having only some people buy into certain DLC or even fewer go after the season pass. It should extend the life of good multiplayer titles by giving the community more reasons to continue to play or go back to a game and ultimately would net the publisher/developer more money since every copy sold would reap that extra money instead of just whatever percentage of players actually buy the season pass or individual DLC. It would take a while for this kind of model to be accepted and too many people would whine that its a ripoff or greed or milking or whatever but it honestly makes a lot more sense than the way they charge for this stuff now and on paper at least would create the potential for a better experience.
I'm not the biggest fan of BF4, but DT is honestly the best DLC so far. The maps are great, the new game mode is super fun if you like only infantry, and new weapons are ridiculously fun to use (Deagle, Unica, Bulldog).
Hardline looks and feels like a cheap FPS game that's either F2P or cost $30. But no, it's a $60 cops n robbers theme for BF4. I hope Hardline fails tbh. Charging people full price for what is essentially BF4... but then again, CoD does it every year and sheaple buy it every year, so milking a franchise name seems to be the way to go ;)
It may have been just a beta but hardline felt very overly simplistic and rather boring compared to bf4.
I highly disagree with Aaron srysly Hardline is entertaining but its to me just a dlc, plus it doesn't have anywhere the same feel of an actual battlefield, while hardline mp looks like a goofy and not thought tro version of Payday 2 with 64p and bigger maps.
Hardline is cool. Dragon's Teeth is pretty cool too. One thing that kills Dragons Teeth for me though is the FPS tanks on the PS4 on large conquest. I wish DICE would had a 30 FPS cap option to the game. The fluctuating FPS infuriates me and it truly screws up your shooting game. The part that sucks is it isn't even the GPU's fault. It's on par with my GTX 660 in my gaming rig. It's the weak ass CPU. My GTX 660 averages 58 FPS on ultra settings at 1080p, but that's due to the 4.4 GHz I5 CPU in my rig.
Maybe Sony will increase clock speeds from that measly 1.6 GHz when the next PS4 releases.
to each their own...but Hardline, nah...i'm actually contemplating getting an expansion or two for BF4 instead
I am on Titanfall and it's my favorite multiplayer right now. I am going with Destiny, Halo, Titanfall route this year
I disagree with all the hate for Battlefield Hardline. I had WAY more fun on the beta than I ever have with BF4. The vehicle handling was great and the shooting was a lot more satisfying compared to BF4 (for me at least)
If they can make significant changes and refine it before release, I think Hardline could turn out to be really great and thats coming from a long time fan of the series.
Why on earth would you be playing hardline ? wow.. i mean that is basically a DLC that they are selling for the price of a full game..
Anyway played on all the new dragon teeth maps now and i quite like them all.. not the biggest fan of the one with the trains but still they are a nice addition and will mix in well with the rest of the maps.
There is absolutely no excuse to ever play hardline. Ever. Anyone who does is just contributing to the ruination of a great series, and may they burn for it.
I think the maps in Dragon's teeth are great, I dont care much about Not-Battlefield Hardline . the fact that EA decided to add "Battlefield" to the tittle feels rather insulting. I mean DICE didnt even made the game.
a drone with a shotgun would be fine, a drone with rockets and an mg for the engineer, absolutely not
People on Metro and Locker aren't there because it's an infantry map. They're their for the easy points meat grinder.
@Jawehawk-DK So you've played the final retail version of Hardline? Do tell.
@Jawehawk-DK Apparently not. probably just saying that to gather attention. I'm sorry but he's got absolutely no clue about what he's saying.
@Fernin-Ker hahahah meat grinder
