First Strider I played (NES) was a "Metroid-Vania", loved it.

So will be getting this game. Huge Fan of Strider. Also even if the game is 15 bucks they can still add DLC to it. Or even add more levels it depends how much time they put into creating this game. I would say 7 levels could be all you have right now. Just a random guess.

Strider was one of my favorite Genesis games. If the exploration aspect turns out good I will be looking forward to this one.

Strider was easily one of the paramount, must play titles for the NES.  The soundtrack still rings through my mind till this day, well, that and writing down a mile long code for each level because of the unrelenting difficulty of this game.  Who here doesn't remember the iconic eighties techno-esque styled heroic intro music of the title menu, hitting the start button, and the sound of the cipher being drawn in response?

15 bucks doesn't sound all that bad. indie metroidvanias cost about the same and they last 5-7 hours, which is roughly how much it takes me to beat a metroid game (assuming it's not from the metroid prime series, those are longer)
