Wish I'd seen this on the live stream. It's such a cool, artistic game and it was very enjoyable to watch you ladies play. :-)
I played this game when it first came out nearly 4 years ago, I really enjoyed the origin of it and the execution of its gameplay, it came out as a reflection of the original "red riding hood"story that is just a cautionary tale for young girls about the dangers of straying away from "the path" designated for them, I love how the developers understand that the defining factor for the wolf encounter comes with the discover of identity, for example Ruby was a bit judgemental of the world around her, but her final realization comes out as being part of it and not too different from other people. This game also was a rare gem at bringing together game play and story; We have the same objective as the girls, to stay on the path, but we decide to stray away from it for the same reasons of the girls, out of curiosity and the desire to discover the true nature of the characters identity. Damn this is getting too long, perhaps i should write one of those "blogs" people always talks about, but alas my english is still terrible :(
Not sure if it has been suggested already, but I would like to recommend "Routine" by Lunar Software when it becomes available. If you gals can get your hands on a Oculus Rift too that would be awesome. Hear/read stories of people getting motion sickness/nausea from using one though, so I can understand if you don't wanna use one.
I think the case can be made that Jess is a goth but can't admit it.
Interesting looking game. I'll have to check it out.
Siren on the PS3? Is it the new version - Blood Curse - or the old one?
I've got Siren Blood Curse laying on my desk taunting me to play it, but my PS3 is with a friend... I guess I'll "have" to watch Zorine play it instead :)
I was thinking since the news of the sequel just came out, it might be interesting if you played Eternal Darkness for those who haven't checked it out yet. Besides that game was CRAZY...
Play Clive Barker's Undying for the PC...awesome game, scared the crap out of me as a kid...you ladies won't regret it
I have been wondering what "man mode" is mores specifically since a couple of episodes back.
Will man mode be making a reappearance?
Have a nice day.
Nice and interesting game, good choice jess, i like the way this game shows a lot of methaphors about so many themes like inocence also i thing each girl represent a phase in the life of granny so every one are the same the only thing that it change is the period of his life, that is what i like about indie games that. at been an indie game. their main goal is to told a good story in their own ways and see if this result to attract the attention of people so they can try new stuff, new stories, new ways of telling storys, new game interactions, etc..So. good call jess, i like that you show us this "unknown" but good stuff so we can try it and if we like like it recommended to other people so with this we can give more support to the indie industry.
I guess this indie stuff is turning jess into a game hipster hahaha just kidding, we love you girls keep it that way, see you next week
love the video :) Great game.. but not sure if it is horror game..
Pewdiepie played outlast demo, i was wondering if you can try it too, i would love to see Jess play it.. But i think she would just freak out too much xd
I would finally get enough energy to wake up at 4 a.m
Jess iff you want gothic loli pale little girls just watch anime :D works for me Recomendation: Ore no imouto ga konnani kawai wake ga nai ( sry thats the name of it :D )
Jess, you've always got to best videos on gamespot. Keep up the great work, I'm going to keep watching for as long as you post videos. Absolutely amazing, astonishing, something that can't be described in words. All I can say is that you're the best.
@rbereczki With this show being broadcast at the same hour of Dexter.... Dexter wins out on my end.
@daviz88 "Best" or favourite? Hard choice, but both Resident Evil 2 and Silent Hill 3 are pretty special to me.
@An0nG4m3r I've been keeping an eye on Routine's availability, would definitely love to cover that one in House of Horrors.
@dark_being On the PS3!
@Jasper_73 It is disjointed and confusing...
Good call! It has that special horror ambiance. The Howlers in the beginning were tough though, kind of brutal to get through parts of the mansion with only a pistol and that stone that temporarily knocks back opponents. Howlers would jump all over the place and were hard to zero. It gets easier with other weapons like the scythe, and of course the spells the character eventually gets were pretty cool. I liked what that Invoke spell would do to the human-baddies. And the cross-dimensional worlds got weird. And a few of the boss fights were fun. Yeah, a great game, worth playing.
@tigerpirro I think it mostly consists of Jess screaming and running forward. =)
I often lean on the shift button. Had to reinstall XP a couple of times because I activate that shortcut when entering the validation code for windows. No idea how to turn the all caps off at that point of the installation heh.
I'm more careful these day. I've learned my lesson. First thing I do once win 7 is installed I turn those shortcuts off along with all the autoupdate junk. Windows ...always helping with stuff you never asked for.
@Kyokamaru crunchy roll?
@Danymoon nothing says horror like rape in the woods, at least that's what I got from it
Midnight in Sydney when you posted that but I guess she'll read it when she gets to work in the morning :]
@syno33 I think after that speech she's already pregnant.
@syno33 No, she won't be your girlfriend.
@syno33 wow dude really? stop putting here on a pedestal, she is just a regular gamer like the rest of us
excellent choice. and not to sound like a fan boy but heather is one of my favourite female protagonist of all time.its a shame both titles are mere shadows of what they use to be.
@Saketume @StonerDemon I thought the same just after posting. Maybe writing "morning" was confusing XD XD, but I hope she reads it cause I have an official crush on her and I want to send her chocolates :D
Australia offers a lot of international post-degree internships. I might go there eventually, who knows.
quite frankly this generation has few actual horror games. i though dead space was going to usher in the horror genre into this generation. that why i so heartbroken when i saw the feedback from dead-space 3.
@daviz88 Very much a shame. What I'd give for a return to the original formula.
@StonerDemon well we all had our crushes when we wer realy young... like 12
