House of Horrors - Companion Crates And Bloodthirsty Zombies In Deadlight!
Jess and Zorine crack into some expert parkour as they escape from zombies who seem to be lured by wolf-whistles - all in 2D!!
Good episode! The puzzle traps and platforming mistakes made me laugh a few times. It was like watching the game-play to Torture Chamber.
I don't know why the game's creators try to pair story-telling with such heavy platforming gameplay. The latter detracts from the former.
I am alive is quite similar, maybe it can qualify for an episode?
also, relevant comic:
liking the new atmosphere in the studio. also the hair styles & necklaces which kind of give a WITCHY feel and also adds more nuance to the horror theme
Quite an entertaining live-stream, just managed to catch up on your highlight videos and its been a lot of fun.
I'm guessing this is not a highly requested game but I am a huge fan of Catherine and would like to put in a request. I think its a game a more people might consider if they saw it played at the very least, but then again that is my bias.
New setup is pretty cool! The show is as good as ever, but where on earth is Outlast?!?!?! We've been waiting for that game for ages!!!
Is it literally so scary that it's the one horror game that you NEVER play? Or has there just not been enough requests?
I laughed so hard when Jess blurted out, "Oooh, look at you! Goddammit woman!!"
I like the lighting too...it's like candlelight.
The dark, desaturated, silhouette-style reminds me of Limbo... but with Zombies! And I agree and the dimmed lights add a little more atmosphere...
@Fedakyn3 I played Catherine. The story is good, but the puzzle platforming towers get to be too much. They become a detriment after about 8 of them. It wasn't worth my time.
Otherwise, I loved the game otherwise.
We played Outlast for our Halloween special stream week! It's not on the site, so easy to miss. Here you go: http://forevergamie.wordpress.com/2014/02/27/gamespot-house-of-horrors-outlast-halloween-special/
@SaintsRowLA @Fedakyn3 Its definitely puzzle heavy :). I actually enjoyed the metaphor and sense of emotional progression the towers give, but I can also see where your coming from--I mean they are there to serve the story not the other way around and they just have so many stages :P. I suppose its just one of those games you get more out of if you naturally enjoy solving puzzles, of course if you did enjoy the story you can burn through the towers pretty fast on easy, mind you I don't know if the story is that worth it to you, but I definitely played an easy game my second play-through for that very reason.
