Bummer. The plot would have been cooler if Kim Jong Il was incharge. "I'm so Ronery. So ronery. So ronery and sadry arone."
Graphics looks great just hope it can hold up to the other top FPS's....if it doesnt involve the military and throws up something new it may but i think "Brink" will be better
Graphics look pretty shocking. I know graphics aren't everything, but they do help with the sense of immersion in a game.
DarkKnight360 the only thing America got in Vietnam was there ass handed to them.America think they should police the world who are they to say who can have what. The probably picked North Korea as there was no chance of that side winning.
Mis-placed Self righteous, patriotism once again from an American video game. That trailer pretty much summed up what was dealt by Americas hand in Vietnam. I have little time for this.
@spongebob53186 hahaha, you're probably right. Every country is really picky about this kind of stuff... Look at russias reaction to MW2 (I think it was them...) Not to mention that yes, some coutries would have to pretty stupid to invade the US...
if this was some shadow ops game to stop them from launching a nuke then it would make sense. however this game is about north korea actually making a successful invasion of the US. its NOT going to happen. they have no navy to speak of, no airforce worth mentioning and it takes many years to train just low ranking officers and specialists to effectively use a modern day military. this combined with their low population and the distance.................it just doesnt make any logical sense on any level whatsoever. i think the only reason they picked north korea was because if they picked china or russia as the bad guys they feared they might lose sales..........thats the only reason they picked n korea. this is even sillier than the north koreans invading with hovercraft in the bond movie.............i bet they used the same writer.
Nobody's gonna invade the US ever. Not Russia not China and certainly not Korea. Aside from that it's strategically nearly impossible...there's absolutely nothing to gain by doing it.
How come that in almost every game America is the victim of an aggression, and if we look real life and remember Vietnam, Afghanistan and many other fronts, we clearly see that America is the aggressor.
it would be good if we could play bad guys for a change i would get more into the single player.it would be cool having to do things you didnt want to like executin innocent people and feeling bad about what you have done.i just dont feel any emotion or excited when playing a good guy
@spongebob53186 you never know. Look at how north korea is doing right now. Threats and such, also "N.K." has sort of been portrayed as that sort of threat in video games. Just look at Mercenaries 1! (not the only one i'm sure but the first to pop up in my head...). Not to mention this game in itself looks VERY interesting with the whole (might happen) "future vision" thing.
A sequel could be about Myanmar invading and enslaving poor, helpless Europe. Footy hooligans join neo-Nazi youth gangs to expel mighty Burma, and fly the flag of freedom over Berlin. The story is practically torn from the headlines of today.
To all of those who say they are tired of games from an American perspective, remember Medal of Honor. Just playing as Taliban in multiplayer caused tantrums. So imagine a game like this with a North Korean campaign, it would be too controversial, it's not as if no-one has ever thought of it as an idea, it's just that no one wants backlash.
china.......absolutely. revived russia......why not. and evil european union....believable. north korea........not even remotely believable. i mean seriously they could have at least picked and enemy that made sense and was believable.
for once in a lifetime let's change the story of the America being the good guy, i have nothin against 'em, but it's really borin that we're ever they exist they're the good side attackin or defendin, hope the game will be good in spite of that fact.
This game comes from the creators of Frontlines Fuel of War which is found on the XBOX360 and PC. And yes this game looks awesome, but check out the other game they made, it also looks awesome, but had several flaws...that hopefully this one won't have
im a moslem and yet i like game ... its just a game ... so talk about the game ... not about a country foreign affair and religion ... this kinda talk wouldnt get you anywhere but hatred for each other ... is this what you want this world build upon??
@ele975 No, I was refering to how our support of Isreal, which usurped the land from native palestinians, has made us hated throughout the Islamic world.
@Tokugawa77 True! But the terrorists are from Islamic belief which is now a widespread belief, unless you meant the Islamic belief originated in Israel
@ele975 lol owned right there. I hate how there are all these people who overrate isreal. if it were not for the U.S., Isreal would have been destroyed years ago. Likewise, if it were not for isreal, the U.S. wouldn't be the target for terrorism, now would it?
tko6070 Posted Dec 16, 2010 10:24 pm GMT yes there is a fair amount of irony in depicting america as the poor little victim in all these post-modern warfare games, its a worry when some people can't make that distinction. don't be surprised if the breakdown by force of NK, Iran and Pakistan occur in the next few decades, revealing the true threats to humanity. hear hear !
Come on it just a game with a make believe story stop reading to much into it.... remember Reach is not a real planet :).
Please don't tell me that small and reclusive North Korea is invading the United States, because that would be one of the biggest BS stories in video gaming history.
a politically relevant game that is not treading lightly when it comes to current matters. i am sold.
@renigade16 Hahahahahah, get over yourselves! I actually didnt say anything "anti-american", I'm for the people, I'm against your dictators...

lol another cheesy setup with communist being bad guys and americans poor victims. Truth is all americans by year 2027 will choke in hamburgers and justin bieber's music. lol I kid' I kid' there is nothing wrong with another brainwashing game. hopefully the setting and gameplay will be cool but I gave up along time ago from these type of games.
The graphics seem very old, but if the game has a great gameplay and long campaign I'll buy it for sure!!
I think its hilarious that a game that proposes a future where current super powers are toppled (as is only natural outcome for any empire), suddenly turns everyone into armchair politicians and philisophers... stop talking crap you twaaats! Its not a question of IFamercia and western democracy (capitalism) will fall...
