Homefront Official Trailer
Here's the official trailer for Homefront.
Look good. But just good, not over the top or anything. I think this would have to be a really really good game (like a 9.5 or higher) or else I wont bother buying it.
On the one hand you've got a lot of creativity, but brainstorming for something better relative to the topselling shoot and kill isn't the thing for me. I've seen enough.
About as close to plot as Half Life 2 as you can get, except why bother? Might've been fun up to a point, still sick and wrong. Blowing up baddies so eagerly - did any of you catch wind that it releases adrenaline? You've got bombs in your brains, brothers.
I dont remember Call of Duty having battlepoints, tanks, humvees, drones, 32 players, huge maps, commander system, a decent premise, teamwork or decent animations. This video is also out dated, the graphics are much sharper. I'm defending this game cause I'm tired of all those generic FPS games out like CoD and BF and MoH which have the same concept. This game has much potential and has a good chance of being an enjoyable FPS game. I don't feel that they created this game to compete with CoD. They created it to offer the ordinary gamers a satisfying first person experience.
I love how this is obviously a clone of a game that came out over a year after this game was put into development.
@hellangel_boy @YouVandal3 Agreed. It is along the same lines as Walmart, because they are "ruining business for everyone". Granted a bad analogy but this goes along the lines for don't destroy something that took a step forward. I personally play COD. They have a game above the rest right now. Should this play well enough to break that hold, I will be playing it with a smile. Hate the fanboyz not the game.
@YouVandal3 i can't agree more.no game can destroy any genre.i mean if any game wants to beat COD it will come up with something new and easily beats COD. what COD did was:that it came with something new and easy with COD 4 that was why people were attracted to it.i don't like COD so much.but lets say the truth COD 4 was so well-made easy and good. and it's the best COD for me.anyway i don't defend COD but COD didn't do something wrong the other games are wrong they have to think how to beat COD not how to make another COD with another title like what MOH did.
damn when did people get soo... nit picky ?? i wonder when movies will get elitist fans? i mean for real "COD ruined the FPS genre"????? thats like saying "Battle: LA ruined the military movie genre". if anything COD and Halo help get more people interested in video games as an art form and help boost more people to play online. i do agree they don't need to make a new one annually but, just like anything that gets too big (i.e Patriots, yankees, lakers) it's "cool" to hate something. But this game has a pretty interesting story, im excited to see how it all pans out.
Best part of this game is the writers of the story also did red dawn and apocalypse now, thats about all this game has.
I'll probably pass on this one too. It's just kinda going to be a copycat of the elite shooters out there.
I originally had high expectations when I first heard about this game. But I think its just going to be another linear solo experience + a noob tube fiesta in multiplayer. Meh, prolly a CoD clone in some respects as well. /pass.
The graphics looks like the graphics of Half LIfe 2 and that is a game from 2004 its 2011,looke on a gamplay video
@ rushad_patel so what you're saying is that this game will be just like every COD game in the franchise since Modern Warfare? c'mon people. yes, the premise is the point of this game. get over it. personally, I'll be checking the rating before I buy the game. but just because COD has ruined the military FPS genre doesn't mean that it can't be fixed, so quit judging this game based on it's trailer.
these are old graphics look at this video for the updated graphics and ten mins of multiplayer in depth... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtA3oJsFQuU
I'm getting Crysis 2 and this. I hope people don't think they're comparable because you couldn't be more wrong.
COD meets MOH meets Battlefield. Been there, done that. I am pretty much done with this genre of game. Its tired and enough already. Unimpressive trailer as well.
The review of the game is as follows, The game is good but you always get the feeling of been here done that, Graphics are outdated, and gameplay is repetitive. (Man i hope i am wrong though)
I don't know about the game itself, but the narration in this trailer is ridiculously cheesy and outdated. It's mockingly unoriginal.
this game is no thanks. Was wondering about it but after I saw how Linear and crappy the gameplay is, here... http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/homefront/video/6299803/homefront-daily-demo?tag=videos%3Btitle%3B2 This video killed any chance I had on getting this game.
Another FPS? I think I'll pass, interesting as the story may be, this might end up being another CoD, or MoH, so for me this year will be the RPG year, with ME3 and TES 5 spearheading my list, also Deus Ex, and Dragon Age 2 are on my sights (with the last one being pre-ordered).
I'm looking forward to playing this game. But I'm stuck I might have to cancel one of my pre-order's to pay for this one but I might find way still I'm pretty resourceful on figuring this crap out, but still looking forward to this title anyway.
Can't wait to play the game..... I am gonna sit on my Homefront and play the game straight till the end lol may it be day or night... hehe..:D
