I don't really understand this in game economy, I just choose to get a tank and it pops out of my ass?
I thought this was made by the same people as frontlines fuel of war which was a very OKAY game at best. I looks pretty much the same but you have a point system thats all and maybe a better game engine or better built
I actually hope this is as far away from Call of Duty as possible........The storyline and basic idea of this marks a new approach to fps's. I think it would be a shame to see such a documented fictional history/future timeline be drowned in excessively unrealistic scripted action sequences. Theres a lot more to war than firing thousands of bullets at enemies. Games with tons of action (COD, Halo) are awesome, don't get me wrong but I am seriously hoping this doesn't follow in their wake. I've been praying for a solid action FPS, which is joined with a convincing storyline.
What i see so far is that every kill is 1,000 pts you use those pts to buy things and if you dont use all your points im pretty sure you keep those points for the next game, its kind of like a kill streak except you dont have to keep surviving lets say im playing MW2 now, 25=1nuke lets say i get 24 kills then die, when i respawn and get 1 more kill to a total of 25 kills is cant get a nuke but lets say in homefront the same senario pops up i can still get the nuke when i respawn and get that final kill (i doubt there are nukes in homefront) all im saying is that i think it is a better system dont make it so one lucky shot ruins your whole match, i like it :)
I like what I'm seeing here. In game economy, buy things as you need them. Not an innovation, necessarily, but it might be a novel take, depending on the mechanics of it, especially as they say, buy it on the fly. What I'm curious about, is do you keep your vehicles to outfit when you want to use them in every game, or is it something you can only do as you play in each map. It might be annoying to have to keep buying crap over and over again during every game. All in all what I see is causing me to consider it a pre-purchase.
I like larger battlefields, but the sniper class always seems to dominate then. This game seems like it's bringing some new stuff to the FPS genre, which is definitely a good thing.
looks really good i actually like cod unlike what seems a lot of people on GS, but this is different so i dont feel the need to compare them. I think it will be a great game and i will probably by, but i will still play cod and other games.
Looks great, copies battlefield ( frontlines feuls of war was very similar) but why not battlefield games are awesome and it will only make homefront better
Looks really sick, copies battlefield for their version of rush but why not it's an awesome game it can only make homefront better
If they don't get this right they will be straight in the firing line of the Battlefield series and will likely come up short. As vehicular warfare goes,Bad company 2 has it nailed. From this,I see loads of similarities to MAG (unlock system, reward system, objectives system, gameplay); it's almost my imagination of what MAG 2 should be.The only thing I disliked about MAG was the tanks being APCs; it made it balanced but a proper tank would of been nice.Fingers crossed.
@Rebornpheonix I don't know what system you have but if you have a PS3, MAG is a great choice. It has games with 256 players in 1 match,128 a side and the gameplay is very objective and vehicle based. It's a highly underrated game.I rate it.
It better have a great connection with that many players, I've been waiting for a multiplayer game with this many people in at once with a battlefield style warfare.
I'm waiting for a review. I was disappointed with both Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, and MAG.
Looks ace. All it has to do is have online that does not drop the connection in the middle of every match and it will be leagues better than Black Ops. That game went straight downhill for me shortly after getting it. I love the way COD plays, but I am absolutely DONE with that series.
@drumma1 No dude I completely agree with you. Was never a huge fan of the CoD multiplayer series, played them cuz they were still some of the best on the market at the time. But this looks way better, PS3 got a high player count war game a while back and I've been waiting for one for 360. Add in vehicles... plus being able to snipe without everyone knowing where you are... just sucks we have to wait til March...
Wow. I'm probably gonna get attacked for this, but in my opinion this looks better than call of duty.
