Hideo Kojima GDC 2013 Panel
Hideo Kojima finally reveals the final name of Metal Gear Solid V, and shows off the tech powering the Fox Engine.
What's amazing to me is that this game is being developed for current gen systems. If we're getting these graphics on a 6 year old system I can't imagine what to expect years down the line on the PS4 and the next gen Xbox console. Especially when someone like Kojima and his crew get their hands on it.
which character do we use in this game BIG BOSS or SNAKE ... because got 2 type of hair in this trailer that concern SNAKE .. hello i am quite confuse here ......
Hideo should be killed for being a racist that bastard!!!cant he release his games on PC!!!would it kill him to look-out for PC gamers!!!
I feel it's rather bad news than good. I expected Ground Zero be a prequel for MGS5....no it looks like he scrapped GZ altogether.:(
So does big boss ends up having two comas in the end ? 1 here & then one after Zanzibar, I'm confused lol
All very interesting, though was kind of put off when they started discussing doctoral level mathematics.
Yeah, looks great. But why has David Hayter been frozen out?!. His voice IS the voice of Metal Gear Solid (English language obviously), will just sound wrong hearing someone elses voice throughout the whole game.
@julgamespot1 You won't get those graphics in current gen systems, I hope we do in next gen, if not I will be disappointed.
@JohnNathan_Noob lol well he played it on PC (he said so in the presentation). Wouldn't be suprised to see it on Xbox though.
@Ibra8 Except is says, "PS3" at the end of the trailer....
@consumed_chaos Did you just call PC a "race" and Kojima racist for not catering to it?... PC is just a platform, in the most basic sense of the word. It almost makes me happy when some games don't come to PC when I read comments like yours.
@Folkathen every game make on pc!!
So it's normal not come for PC
@Folkathen Most games that are shown at these shoe are run on pc's and are just usig the psecs of the console they will be sowing up on.If they were to make a pc version they would have to upgrade a redo lot of things ,from what i gather.
@Folkathen It was run on PC because it's being developed on a PC... like all games. That doesn't mean that it will be RELEASED on PC.
@Kyrylo It's always been a part of the game. Nothing was scrapped. Everything is working as intended. Ground Zeroes + Phantom Pain = MGS V
@Darkhol0w You did indeed! It was actually demoed on the PC.
@psycadelix We don't know for sure whether he is gone yet or not. The voice might sound different, but, personally, I can detect hints of Hayter's gruffness (but, this could be the new VA trying to replicate and modify Snake's signature sound). Additionally, while Hayter has tweeted things that suggest he is no longer voicing Snake, he has tweeted other suggestive things too (https://twitter.com/DavidBHayter/status/277536350671106049 and https://twitter.com/DavidBHayter/status/315002564489904128 ). Moreover, Hayter's Japanese equivalent, Akio Ōtsuka, was the voice of Snake in the original G. Zeroes trailer, which we have not seen an English dub for yet. Perhaps Hayter will voice Snake in the G. Zeroes segment of MGSV, and then, after a 9-year long coma, Snake's voice has changed somewhat and a different voice actor is required. After all, Big Boss in MGS4 was voiced by Richard Doyle. Let's wait for confirmation.
@Aristowi @julgamespot1...Well the game was announced as a PS3/Xbox 360 title. Yes, the game looks amazing but Kojima and his team are renowned for getting the best out of console so I wouldn't be so doubtful about it being a current gen title.
So not only will you get these graphics next gen but you'll likely get it this gen (unless they switch development to the PS4 which I doubt will happen).
@Keir21 @Darkhol0w Yea, I heard that, but it's quite obvious all the coding and programming are done on the PC for all games. But I just wanted a confirmation that it will come out on PC as well since except for the first two MGS's, no other games in that franchise has been released or ported to the PC, hence why I find it quite odd if they will release this on this platform. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind that but just curious thats's all.
With that said, I'm psyched for this game if in fact do comes out on PC.
@seanmcloughlin Maybe they are making a joke because of how there was a stink made about the Sony conference having no females ;v
@Craigy--IRE @psycadelix I hope hes in there in some aspect of the game and yeah i knew someone else did Big Boss' voice in MGS4 but that was because he was an old man so the voice would change. Kojima said Snake isnt as old as he looks in the game. Tho, not sure what era this is set in, 9 year coma, possible Solid Snake could appear at some point in this game??!!?. Bringing in Hayter?.
@GhostOfSparta4 Where did I say it wasn't?
@Kyrylo Ground Zeroes is the prologue. If you played MGS2, you'll remember that Kojima did something similar. Everyone thought we'd be playing as Snake, and we ended up playing as the blonde chick :P
he wasn't given solidus' body they only took parts from solidus body, the remains of the original solidus were destroyed by liquid ocelot in Europe.
@daviz88 Big Boss was given Solidus' body. He had Solidus' voice
even in MGS 4 the reason that big boss had a different voice as old man didn't make any sense i mean solid snake and big boss are physically the same and have the same voice so how come when solid snake became old he had the same voice but big boss' voice changes.
@psycadelix Going by the Metal Gear Wiki, Solid Snake would have only been 11 years old when Big Boss comes out of his coma... So it's unlikely.
