I know this guy always focuses on the bad stuff but, in this particular game, what good is there to focus on ?
Kicking someone when they are down is bad. Casting spells at your opponent when they are helplessly dangling off the ground, unable to defend themselves is even worse.
imagine, harry potter on the xbox360 project natal!! that is going to be amazing! cos it has a microphone you could just say the spell. that is sooo cool!
You know what would be awesome? The Elder Scrolls, Harry Potter style. Now that's a movie game I'd buy.
I miss the gameplay of the first three movie games. The fourth one was too short, and the fifth one (and apparantly the sixth) are boring.
@ mmogoon no EA will still make harry potter games. Until the 7th one comes out and then thats it. once the movies are done the games will stop being made
The 360 and PS3 versions are bad, but motion controls for the wii version actually make it a credible buy. I'm not regretting anything, though I do wish I waited for it to drop to 40 or 30 dollars. You guys really shouldn't judge a game before playing it. And also... this is Tom Mcshea. The guy who complained about fallout 3's atmosphere. Yeah...
You can't blame this guy for sounding bored. He's stuck reviewing rubbish movie games whilst everyone else reviews Tiger Woods or Batman Arkham Asylum
These terrible games will only stop getting made when one thing happens: people stop impulse buying and start researching before they buy.
In my opinion this guy is a terrible reviewer. But I do agree with him on this one. Was really excited for this game to come out and then played it in store and was so badly disappointed..
Yep, just another movie game. Full of badness and other stuff of that category. I mean, just look at the graphics! Twilight Princess on the Gamecube, which came out in '06 looks insanely better than this! Wait, actually, it looks better than 90% of the Wii games. Stupid 3rd party developers. Nintendo really needs to do something about their quality check. Just do what you did with the N64, "Big" N, and you'll have yourself some better games. And by that, I mean make some more of your OWN games. They don't have to be huge games, just fun games with good graphics. Like Mario Tennis 64. That was fun. Not huge, but very fun. Now, if only the PC could emulate that game (which I legally own w/ the cartridge)...
"The movies...based on these classic works have been far less successful though..." WHAT?? The movies together have grossed almost 4.5 BILLION at the box office. Critical ratings have also been mostly good to great. I am not even a Harry Potter fan but your glaring mistake regarding the success of the movies just struck out at me. Please research next time!
I am a fan Of HP and played like each game...Some of the games where rly fun to play but after a while it gets old....but Half-Blood Prince...damn i played it for like 20 mins and uninstaled it....so better just stick to the movies and books ;)
I have a hard time taking this guy seriously.Just the way he stares at the camera and lets his arms hang down. I especially can't listen to him after his review of the Conduit.
lol although i trust this guy this time becasue movie to games are usually horrible, but this guy stares staright into the camera and never changes his tone, is he even human?
The game is crap but I think Wii itself doesn't provide much for developers to create something really good.
vengeance00 Transformers 2 (Xbox360 and PS3), Ghostbusters and Goldeneye 007 are some movie games that are actually really good.
in otherwords its just like every movie game tie-in, totally sucks but people still play it. i honestly can't think of a good movie game.
this isn't a mystery, movie games fail cause the developers have no time to finish the game, or even think of creative ways to make it interesting and fun..all they care about is putting it in retail in time for the movie.. = /
