looks awesome , i see people are saying halo should go back to origins , i disagree , we played the old halos and they were amazing , but i really don't want to go back to the same thing , i want new stuff .
halo 4 had some new stuff but it still was pretty much the same with halos , i want more new stuff in Halo 5 , A great campaign with a rich story about forrunners and human , new weapons , more maps and armor abiltites with next gen graphics
only thing that annoys me why is a game made by MICROSOFT only on XBOX release it on PC FFS where you can play a FPS properly... as for the 60fps PC gamers have played with that for years if not higher. So sick of console exclusive games.
I thought it was new IP and my heart started pounding really fast ....until Master Chief came out " facepalm"
HALO V ROCKS!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!! Welcome back, Spartan Warrior!!!!!! ALL HAIL THE 'CHIEF'!!!!!! Cortana's coming back. Watch!!!!!!!
this looks pretty awesome its goner be hard for me not to get Xbox One, but as for not I wont be getting it as long as this 24hr online check in stands
If Halo 5 can just go back to its roots and be something along the lines of the original trilogy instead of Halo 4 derp fail CoD imitation, Halo 5 could very well be epic and deservedly so.
WELL YOU CAN'T JUST CALL IT HALO GEEZ. I still have a copy of "Halo" sitting on my shelf. It's a pretty cool game, worth checking out if you haven't played it.
For those going full derp about him not needing the cloak because the suit covers him from sand. What about covering the suit from sand? Anyone in the military who's deployed in a desert will tell you sand will destroy your hardware, even if it's been designed to resist it.
haha, that trailer was like really fucking stupid, but really epic at the same time :p no doubt ill buy the game but the whole huge cloak over the suit of armor looked weird. cant really get to excited because it was obvious that this was coming, nonetheless im sure itll be great :)
As a new, and hardcore Halo fan who's read all the books, there are a few issues.
First of all, all MJONIR armor suits have polarized visors. He wouldn't need to put his hand in front of his face.
Second, the suit provides more than enough cover against the sand.
Third, the armor is sealed, meaning that if there's a mild crack or gap, (which there was) the whole suit is useless against zero-gee or alien planets.
I know this is only a trailer...but still....
In all seriousness, why's he wearing a cloak over that suit? Does it not offer protection against sand? o.O
well seems like it would be great till you can't play it offline someone needs to start a petition against xbox
@Quad_Hund Simple. No sand in the cracks.
@steelmouth I think It was already taken out on day two after the anouncement xD
NO I WANT HALO TO BRING ME NEW IP ELEMENTS WHO WANTS TO PLAY THE SAME SHIT NO OFFENSE BRO BUT IF PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY GAMES THAT STICK TO THEIR ROOTS THEN THEY WOULD LOVE CALL OF DUTY
@omar_q Exactly, Halo needs to go back to its roots, not all this ordnance and sprint junk.
@offspring94 No. The one you have is called Halo: Combat Evolved.
Truthfully I think they simply haven't figured out a good name so kept just "Halo" as a placeholder.
@ShimmeringSword What you said has just baffled the hell out of me. Your trying to say that a suit made by some insane Forerunner species that made rings that could wipe out all life couldn't foresee the little problem of sand. The shield can withstand everything from artillery and sniper fire to plasma and energy sword but O NO watch out for the big band sand that's gonna come get you. Get with the time period. This game takes place in the future with which I am sure they have probably come up with a solution to there sand problem. And by the way does a shield mean absolutely nothing to you. Cause if I recall you have one in every single halo game. Even ODST which you aren't even a Spartan. They gave him the cloak for the sole purpose of ANTICIPATION. You make a trailer and just drop master chiefs face on it people aren't gonna care too much. Make a mysterious character who you think is probably 117 but not show his face till the end of the trailer is called MARKETING. They do it with every fucking game so stop trying to provide real life answers to games in which don't have to follow and set of guidelines except those set by the creators of the game itself. If you don't like what I have to say TOO BAD. Take you idiocracy somewhere else.
1) He wanted to look at Cortana's microchip before that mess.
2) He must be wearing the cloak for a reason OTHER than sand.
3) It looks as if John didn't care. Remember, depression?
@Forgetfulhearer to hide his identity
Just because your device is laggy, doesn't make the video laggy.
I'm watching it on HD and it's clear and smooth.
@JazzFromHell Her head is gigantic compared to her body, can't unsee that.
@sbriney07 No way, that was a marketing move? Damn!
Of course it is, but if kids want to ignore that and get technical, I'll help educate them. You wanted to get technical too, so here we go. When a Mjolnir suit is in vacuum it has a limited air supply, but when it's in an atmosphere is has no such issue, meaning that nice energy shield is letting air through. I could say more but I think you can handle the rest.
Also, "idiocracy" is a movie title, not a word. Get schooled bro.
@ShimmeringSword @vicarioswolf88 Jeez, its only a game, none of it is real. But sand does degrade all hardware over time, regardless of how advanced these alien races are.
@VicariousWolf88 If he wants to insist on using the word idiocracy, he can at least use it for the definition people have given it. The word he really wanted to use was idiocy, no need to spice it up any further to a fault. People already have enough trouble understanding erosion.
@ShimmeringSword @sbriney07 I normally dont comment but when I read your so called "technical" reply I was amazed ..... but yes what you said about his armor and atmospheric pressure may be true but that still doesnt answer if sand hurts his armor. yes I understand military equipment today can get damaged to exposure to sand, water and mud. but halo is set in the far future (plus its a game) so who knows what advancements they made and I also understand you wanna educate these young kids out there....
ALSO "idiocracy" is a word as well as a movie title (pretty good movie actually)
