@silentscorn Why would they add a new multiplayer when they have a brand new game coming out next year? Doing it this way allows for 3 things. They can offer the maps to people who don't want to buy the Halo:CEA game. It keeps the cost down, because I would not be buying this game if it was $60. It doesn't fragment the community between even more games. If you want to play Halo CE then go and play it. Quit complaining.
@amdreallyfast I think what he means by jokes is the skulls and the story explanation is the new terminals which will explain some of Halo 4.
My concern is when he started taling about certain things that they wished were in there the first time (story explanations, jokes, etc.). Until I find out what exactly he was talking about, I'll reserve judgement.
I think people who keep complaining about Halo anniversary need to realize that at least they are adding things and not just remaking the game with better graphics. Seems like all the other HD remakes I've heard about are doing nothing but improving the graphics for the same price as this. If you don't like it don't buy it but don't say what they are doing is stupid.
@silentscorn I enjoyed reach as much as I enojoyed Halo CE if you liked halo then you should have bought reach if you didn't like the Multiplayer it is very simple to change it to halo Classic which plays exactly like the originals. Im torn between armour abilities or pick up abilities but im also sure you can set those up in forge....forge is a good edition make the game what you want. A bit annoyed I feel I should get discount as I have owned Halo CE on all platforms.
@silentscorn so you get to decide who is a real halo? Because Halo:CE was the first Halo I've played and its my favorite, yet I also really love Reach, I like it more than 2 and 3. Does liking Reach make me not a true Halo fan, oh wise one? Because I dont think so.
to be honest, I don't want anything "new" in the remake. If I wanted to played odst, reach, etc...I would just put that game in my xbox. I want the original. period.
@noobdawg123 I can understand your concern, I still have the original copy and it works just fine with my Xbox 360 slim but I still want to add this to my collection even if it's the same game 10 years ago because if it wasn't for Halo CE, I would never got the my first Xbox.
I would buy the game if it had the complete original Halo in it. But all we are getting is the campaign and Reach multiplayer. Reach multiplayer? Are you serious 343? That's a complete joke. Did anyone ask for that? NO! I wanted to play Halo multiplayer as it was in the original not more Reach multiplayer. From all I have been reading, true Halo fans have said Reach was the worst of the series. And I think so as well. With this we are only getting half of an anniversary and the other half....a big slap in the face for the fans.
$40 for a game that doesnt have original multiplayer which is what kept the game going for so long anyway is ridiculous. I wouldnt care so much if they had just kept it to local multiplayer instead of messing with the netcode just because it seems like no one has a hard drive so they cant load halo 1 on their 360s, so its hard enough to get people to LAN it. Playing through the single-player experience with updated visuals would be cool for a one time thing, but the original game has aged well enough that I dont think updated visuals really warrant buying the game again for $40 when the better version can be found on ebay for $10.
Halo CE Anniversary will be interesting just to see how good it can look on a modern system but Halo 4 will be the real test of what 343 studios can do, all eyes will be on them for that......
Can't wait for Anniversary to come out! I remember always sneaking over to my friends' house to play Halo 1 and 2 since I wasn't 17 at the time. Now that I finally own the whole series, I've finally gotten to play Halo 1 and 2 start to finish, and while I still find both of them realllly fun, I had always wished that I could've played them when they were at their technical heights in graphics and sound, when it would most impress me and be the most epic. But now I finally have a chance (at least for CE that is). $40 is well worth the money to relive my childhood.
Can't say how many times I played the campaign over and over... but I know that if it had a level play count, Assault on the Control Room would have, at the least, double the play count. That level was the best, especially with all the "bugs" that you could do...
I felt like playing Halo right after finishing Reach. Now there going to be more connected to each other graphically its awesome. Hope they do Halo 2
Have this preordered for the online cooperative campaign alone. Who doesn't like Halo CE? I'm hoping this game does well even though it's being released right after Skyrim(but at a reduced price) because I'd like a Halo 2 remake to go with it. Even if that remake is on the next console.
