Gundam Breaker is part Diablo, part LEGO and all fun
Jonathan Toyad builds Gundams from spare parts and brings them out for a mecha-brawl in this hands-on analysis of Namco Bandai's latest action game.

Now I want this in PAL territories!
Now I want an MS with 00 Raiser's head, the torso and wings of the Freedom, those sweet beam shields on the Strike Freedom, and TWO Beam Magnums from Unicorn. SWWWWWEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTT.
Woah, this actually looks fun. This better come to Canada! Or I will have to import in in another language I can't understand
If we received even a quarter of the Gundam games released here in the states, I'd be content.
Man Bandai better bring this over to US! Its just too bad Jump Stars Victory Versus is never going to make over here :(
Is it possible that this game has been on arcade systems in Japan for some time? Saw something very similar in Sega arcade in Akihabara early this summer. If this is the same game, man, it's awesome! :)
the games been out for a mnth now and theres still no dlc from store and very limited gundam models within the game, still a good game though I guess.
This just sold the Vita to me. I love Gundam, too bad there isn't a Dynasty Warriors Gundam on the Vita though, but this makes up for that big time :D.
it has been along time coming for this game. a gundam game were you can make your own gundam. the only this i dont like about it is that it is only for playstation. this game is too good of an oppertunity to pass up for just playstation to have. i think is should also come out on the xbox. out of all the gundam games i have played, Dynasty Warriors 3 is the frist game i have ever liked. Dynasty Warriors game play was perfect in my view. Breaker looks like a Dynasty Warriors game play, so i like it even more.
Considering the last Gundam game I actually enjoyed was the first Dynasty Warriors one I'll probably give this a shot. It's a shame it's unlikely to get a western release, but frankly whenever they do get an English version I tend to turn the sound off anyway. The voice acting a scripting are usually pretty bad.
I imported this game, and it's awesome. If you're interested, don't expect it to ever be sold outside Japanese shores, Bandai is scared of trying Gundam games sales anywhere else because of the weaker fanbase and Gundam: Crossfire performing poorly, despite all of the ones after it being amazing and making fantastic scores. You don't need to know any Japanese to play this game, stats are indicated as being better or worse when you're swapping parts, and anything else in the menus are either (randomly) in English or straight-forward.
Wow, it's like GameSpot hires people based on their lacklustre spine-tingling toe curling pronunciation...
This is perhaps even WORSE than Kevin VanOrd! No wait I take that back.. NOTHING is worse than hearing VanOrd speak. I'd rather listen to the old lady npc's in Shenmue than hearing another incoherent sentence by that guy.
What happened to Mobil Ops: The One Year War for XBox360?? Looks fun, but most likely won't get the translation to make it state side. Besides, it needs Gundam parts from Gundam Wing.
I played the beta, was awesome fun, don't worry about the language barier, sure its just the stats and story but the story is just an excuse to beat up gunpla, and the stats...you can google what they are and then work from there!
I'm not a Gundam fan but this looks pretty fun. Hopefully it gets an English translation. Definitely a good type of game for the Vita.
This actually looks GREAT! Too bad I sold my Vita...
Ah well, I'll check up on the reviews and see if it is worth it for PS3 later.
I played the Japanese PS3 demo of this a few months ago.. it was kind of fun.. i doubt it will get released here, but im sure someone will make a English walk through so one can understand it and play the Japanese version on their US PS3s
I so want this game!
Also Loving the background music, Turn A had one of the best OST Music scores in the Gundaverse.
Doubt it'll get localized. Most of these don't. But yeah that looks like something I'd enjoy coz I love collecting stuff in these kind of games.
@Bhemont Nope. Gundam Breaker is a PS3/PS Vita-only game.
@Chris_YellowHat Tell that to Japan; they're not fans of the Xbox at all. Hence, PS3/PS Vita versions of any Gundam game. Though Dynasty Gundam seems to be an exception.
@Urizen316 Kevin VanOrd speaks regular English. What do they speak where you live? Pops and Clicks?
@salvucci91 I guess... Crossfire could be considered it's successor?
I think they're referring to the loot collecting? Or maybe the hack-n-slash nature?
It does seem like a reach either way.
@ANUBISZER0 Yea your talking about the song that plays towards the end of the video? Yea that's the ending theme from Char's Counterattack. Great movie and song ;)
Region Free man!
I might not be able to read the language, but enjoyable game play is still enjoyable game play!
@Shenmue_Jehuty it will take 5 more years :( even GvG series they didn't released in NA
It focuses on ground combat, you can air dash/boost but thats about it, and don't expect any of the transforming suits to transform, these aren't actual gundams but gunpla, the model kits XD
(Well most mg kits can but i doubt you'd see that here)
