yes it may not be a real recording studia with real guitars and what ever but i have this game and it is so cool and addictive (in a good way) i play real guitars and real drums and real bass but that does not stop me from rocking out to this monster of a game and a good one too! i give it a 10/10!
WOW 10 min songs now thats great, my friend made some of the top songs for world tour and his only downside he had was the 3 min limit lol your all gonna be in for a treat when its out guys..
@narrator_91 Yeah it's very true. I'm sick of all the "musicians" putting down guitar hero. I play guitar, fairly well. I'm not like the next Steve Vai, but I'm no beginner. And I'm proud to say I play guitar hero. It's a lot of fun and playing guitar hero keeps my fingers moving fast and keeps them limber. It's a great finger exercise and a lot of fun. People need to grow up and realize it's just an entertainment piece.
I can hardly wait because this is the year the guitar hero franchise falls. Watch Activision not make a single guitar hero next year. GHM, GHSH, GH5, GHVH calm down we only need one a year.
well if they fixed the massive loag in the studio and the terrible sounds of a note ending, then this might not be 2 bad lol.
I always thought creating music on guitar hero was fun, but it was always missing that one thing me and my buddy wanted.... the ability to tag team solo's (that's we call it). I mean like what Sam Totman and Herman Li from Dragonforce do. So i think the music studio GH5 is gonna be siiiiiiiiiick!!!
I'm hoping they make the music studio in this one a little bit easier. I had a hard time trying to make a decent song on World Tour. This still looks really cool though.
Looks way better than the music creator on world tour. And for the people that think the idea of creating a song with fake instuments is lame, well I disagree. I play the real bass guitar with my friends in a real band that make are own songs. I find guitar hero's song creator very helpful when my friends are busy and we cant jam. The song creator makes it so I can play every instrument without buying all of the real instruments.
Well, I like the creation options, I only hope that we can use joysticks on multiplayer modes. A lot of people don't have 2 or more guitars...
"Real musicians" don't post comments on gamespot about guitar hero, that's what people who think they are real musicians do. The people that play these games play them to have fun, it isn't so they can pretend they are actual musicians. I mean, you don't hear people playing tennis on the Wii bragging about their serving skills.
"Create a song" ...pfft, everyone can create songs with a plastic guitar, now with the real one...not everyone can... Instead of playing with a plastic guitar, why don't people try to learn a real instrument, even if they cant do it, they will be able to say " hey, at least i tried..." . I play this game when i'm with friends ( easy ftw ) but I play my real guitar and I feel way more comfortable with it...cause I can make my own sound, not that "tic, tac" sound. Like 21655 said...Why not leave the composing to those with the musical and instrumental expertise...of course this game is made for fun, and to show how music is good, but the kids think that just because they play plastic guitar they can play real guitars...that's why, we real musicians ,are all upset about, it's not the game, but kids thinking they can play real insturment cause they play guitar hero/rock band...5 frets...1 string....thats what you play...now get that 24th fret and 6 string guitar and see what you got... If there's any decent Led Zeppelin song there, i'm buying this.
I like how everyone who likes this idea gets thumbs down. Why do haters insist on posting on this game?
Way cool stuff, but I'm a little iffy on this whole GH composing stuff. Why not leave the composing to those with the musical and instrumental expertise to write the songs? The thrill of writing should be available to everyone (that's a value Neversoft and I seem to hold in common), but they should at least take the time to learn an instrument. The only instrument in the GH repertoire that offers any actual realism is the drum set, though it still pales in comparison to a real one. (And I played real drums at my friend's house for a bit before I even got GHWT.) Of course, real musicians who know their theory could compose for GH...but there's just so much more flexibility with real studio software like Cakewalk. And I should know; a computer with a mouse and keyboard can do a lot more musically than a video game console with a Guitar Hero guitar. A LOT more. I don't hate Guitar Hero--I play it almost every day--but the direction the series is heading in is worrying me.
With only 5 buttons you probably won't be able to play with very many sounds. It's a good idea though.
Why would you want to create your own song that sounds exactly like the last one you created? Not good :-(
Harmonix is getting this done RIGHT by letting people use their own master tracks rather than some crappy sound bits
punkdsk8erdude, band hero is for the whole familly and is rated E. it only has clean songs and pop music no rock
That sounded absolutely terrible, the backing tracks were a level of bad I didn't think GH was capable of producing. And all the guitar lines sounded extremely synthesized.
now that they are gonna have band hero, is guitar hero 5 going back to just guitar or still the full instruments?
The music studio was the worst part of the previous game. This doesn't look like its improving much. It's so much easier to pick up a real guitar and play, even if you don't know how. ~I love Guitar Hero, it's Activision I hate!~
..... that was absolutely awful. that gives me one more reason NOT to buy GH5, but Matt Bellamy as a playable character and Plug In Baby are 2 big pluses will cancel this out and more.
I can't express how disgusted I am by this... so far I have no reason to look forward to this game, and now one big reason to avoid it.
