PC gaming is REAL gaming!  I hate controllers because then are terrible at allowing you to actually have control!  The console will never have the quality to surpass a PC in any area.  It is frustrating to me that the PC game selection seems to be steadily shrinking.  I will quit gaming before I will succumb to the consoles!

PC Gamers hate controllers.  PC gamers love Steam Machines.  Steam Machine has a controller.  PC gamers are hypocrites?

I'm a lazy gamer, so I'll be sticking to consoles. They're just so much more convenient.

I really don't get the problem with GTAV having microtransactions. No one is being forced to spend money, and you're not exactly missing out if you don't. So what exactly is the problem?

As for Microsoft's weekly declarations, the one thing I'll give them is that they're flippin' entertaining.

I wonder which console will break first.

PC will always be the most powerful, games are developed on them :P

However, with that said I've been a console gamer now for years. Solely due to console exclusive games.

One thing I really appreciated about Saints Row over GTA is the main character customization in terms of gender and body style.  I'm hoping in the future GTA might take a Mass Effect approach, where either one or all of the main characters can be customized, but still have a strong story.  Of course, this might lead to everyone calling your character by their last name, i.e. 'Shepherd' or as in the case of SR just 'Boss' but still would be cool.

Why not Microsoft spend time developing a better OS rather than a better console? If PC is the Supreme Gaming Console Race, they should take the opportunity to make the most out it.

It is really nice to have you back Jess! Nice job! ;DDDDD

I really think the X1 has the upper hand in this all-in-one living room situation. Look at all the companies they're secured for just TV or streaming services. Hell, last week I found myself downloading a bunch of demos Thursday night and I was watching ESPN on the 360 at the same time! That's what everyone complains about - Microsoft is showing too much living room activity and not enough games. I'm sorry, but when you compare MS exclusives to anyone else, they've got the hand up. No one will ever match Halo, Gears, or Forza. We'll just keep a watch on the Holiday sales.

p.s. Love ya Jess!

So - Dr Who fan? Or is it whoever sets costumes for you? (I did not think that the series was doing good in the US?)

I really want Microsoft to do well.  It is good to have some competition between consoles

The console is not going anywhere for the moment because they still have a hold on the "couch potato" market, but it looks like Valve is going full steam ahead (ba-dum-pssh) with their plan to disrupt that hold.

MS will do and say anything to beat Sony and it's PS4. Most of my friends where Xbox fans and to few of them are going for the X1 while the rest are going PS4. Pretty much all of them say the X1 has very little to offer, specially after what MS did to it's fans. The more a company says "oh, we are winning" and what not, the more they tend to be worried that they are actually losing

I dont care for micro transactions, but if people are willing to spend money to win then let them, They should keep the payers away from the non payers on the servers.

if they didnt change the policy they wouldnt have shipped one unit, so they didnt change it for consumers but for their pockets, since PS1 history shows PS always ends up better in the long run, look at PS3, first two years terrible then they realized they should think about games instead of tv and that crap and they got on top

MS will win in watching tv in your console, look buy xbone then regret it two years into its life, Playstation in the long run, been like that since PS1 so im not saying it for the sakes of it, hardware and software sales say it

I would thoroughly like to say sorry to all you Microsoft fans out there, before I continue with this rant.

Harrison is a delusional maniacal fool!  I was .......WAS a Xbox fan until the back peddling started, who's to say that they won't bring back everything they promised in their initial press release introducing XBOX One.

Microsoft seems to forget one thing, they live and die by the North American Market, if sales don't come from North America they sure as heck are not going to materialize any where else.

 Harrison stated that they received more than a hundred awards for games only available on XBOX One.   WHO CARES Microsoft did not develop those games the individual companies did, they deserve the praise.  Finally Harrison praises Microsoft taking feedback and changing.....let me translate for you.....Harrison was glad that the entirety of North America had not  taken their 360 smashed into oblivion, for the very uneducated decisions they made and decided to announce to their consumer base.

SONY you have not only garnered my respect but you will be getting my money too!

@greenaj

Who said we all like Steam OS or the Steam controller?

The whole point of a PC is that it's versatile; REAL PC gamers will prefer to continue using their beefy machines with Windows OS.

@PlatinumPaladin

Unfortunately, since I'm a PC gamer, I haven't had the chance to get to learn how GTA V Online works but I'm assuming if you can purchase certain things using micro-transactions instead of earning them, you'll have an unfair advantage over the players who can't afford them?

@TexasAnMGrad2K  There's a lot of people that like what MS is doing but there's also a lot that don't. As far as who has the best exclusives, that's highly subjective. IMO their exclusives leave a lot to be desired.

@WolfgarTheQuiet Microsoft was trying to do what Steam does and that is all digital games that you could share with family and friends even when they did not live in your home.... The screaming was crazy, people where pissed. Steam comes out with a console and says you can share games with family and friends not in the same home and people love it....... Makes no since. People wants to hate because they are too stupid to see what the future of the game market was like and it is not retailers. It is what steam has done for the PC market, as without steam, PC gaming would be almost dead. But it is perfectly fine for Steam to do it now but when xbox announced it they are evil.... I will say Microsoft did not do a great job of explaining themselves and the plan, but it is exactly what steam is doing now and people are saying how amazing it is.

Also Steam has DRM and has to check online to make sure you are playing a valid copy, same thing Microsoft was going to do, but they are evil and steam is genius.

@WolfgarTheQuiet PS3 started doing well at about the same time Phil Harrison left the company and sauntered over to Microsoft. People are always the problem, and Phil Harrison is a major problem.

@WolfgarTheQuiet

They didn't really "get on top". The Wii was firmly on top pretty much the entire generation, and the PS3 is now just neck and neck with the 360. The PS3 hardly did "better" than anything.

@x-TwilighT-x @PeejayYeh There were people who didn't have a single problem with Windows Vista either. ^_^

Mind you, 8 isn't so much bad as ill-considered. Microsoft *don't* want people to get comfortable using 7 because it was so hard to wean them off the 10 year old XP once they got to like it. They *do* want people to be running mobile platforms like tablets using Windows, because they believe that's where the future money lies. Basically they just expected their customers to want 8 because Microsoft's bottom line needed them to. Similar to the way they designed the Xbox One to be good for Microsoft, and expected customers to just go along.
