GS News Top 5: New Strider, Microsoft Blunders, and Steam Sale!
We cover all of the week's biggest news in a handy top 5 list!
I've never seen this type of camera action and video format before!
Congrats for the awesome creativity i really love it!
Almost every week there is always something against Microsoft on Gamespot news. I don't like this hate campaign towards Microsoft.
I want to know more about xbox one or Ps4 new games and not this kind of bad journalism.
Gamespot editors suck!!
Looking at the headline you would think MS had made a huge blunder this week when in fact that is not the case. I know there is a customer bias here on Gamespot against Microsoft, presumably due to a large number of Sony fans, but I am beginning to think there is also an editorial bias against Microsoft. So who is paying you to trash Microsoft, Gamespot ?...out with it. Come clean.
Yeah..that's right Microsoft. Just STFU and just make us some good games already. I don't wanna hear it
Shaun, teach jess not to rush the talking in the news, it would be great, is she triyng to beat a record or something ?
I have to admit gs, I've not spent much time here in the past couple weeks or so, you can go thank Gabe/Steam for that :)
One game I've not seen 'a lot' about but am still looking forward to spending some time with is Primordia. Got that on a sale and it really seems interesting. Most people that have played it really liked it and I hope I do too. Got a few others need finishing first. (41 games loaded and playing about 4 regularly- plus I have some games loaded (casusal) for when my mother comes over to visit, she's the only one I let use my PC ;) ).
I wish he hosted this show, all the time. His unusually strong fascination with exploding chickens aside, I'd rather listen to him than whoever that girl is- I avoid it because of her, something about her, she has this look on her face that reminds me of one of those evil kids in horror movies I used to watch growing up, think it's the eyes lol. -nothing personal.
When Biware became nothing more than ***** propaganda, I was done with them.
Microsoft - Your messaging isn't your problem - shut your mouth and change your policies. . . . and your PRISM support . . .. and your horrible Windows 8 OS.
@ricardo_santos Deal With IT
@ricardo_santos It's not just Gamespot that's got the hate towards Microsoft, it's the general population of gamers, and fans. Quite frankly Microsoft has a sort of 'High and Mighty Ego' of themselves, and are too proud to actually listen to fans and give what the fans want.
Thus far, all they have done so far is the proverbial pat on the hand (on themselves) with the infamous "Shame on us!" quotation. I ask you how does saying that help the gaming community, when all they say is 'we need to explain it to you so you know what it can actually do'?
Fans are further slighted when Microsoft makes comments such as "We will make changes only if gamers make enough noise."
Also the apparent lack of applause at the announcement of the XBox-One at E3, should of raised some red flags for Microsoft that something wasn't quite right, and should of reevaluated the reason why that was so.
But lets face it. All we really want are good solid games that play on a good SOLID gaming system... (Does anyone else agree we want a "GAMING" System?) At least one that isn't so restrictive or intrusive, and also a bit more on the affordable side.
But hey, we live in a very picky and egotistical society. Microsoft has too big of an ego to listen to gamers and make them happy, and we as gamers are too picky and not easily pleased with what we get and thus complain about everything that doesn't make us happy.
*Sigh* I miss the good ol' days back when a gaming console was just that, a gaming console. Sweet and simple.
@kljvoph Serious, first Gamespot is full of MS fanboys, next they are Sony fanboys. Seems like the only ones complaining are the real fanboys. If you dont like what they say on this site then go to an exclusive MS or Sony site where everyone agrees with you, and if not then just stop these stupid remarks about bias this or bias that. Or like a famous MS employee once said : DEAL WITH IT. And btw : NINTENDO RULES THEM ALL :).

Scanning Gamespot Comments Database for Jess-aholic Admirer...
@morredor well she is new!!! its like a new guitar player all rush no articulation!! i dont think its a crime being new and getting better with years does it??
Just because so many of you keep saying this I compared 8 seconds of this introduction to Jess first GS news.
I counted 39 syllables for Jess in 8 seconds and 45 for Shaun in 8 seconds.
I might have missed one or two but you're still delusional.
He rushes just as much as she is, if not more. You're just being biased.
Besides, what the hell is wrong with talking fast. Think faster!
@RustedTruck650 So just because he looks young, you hate his facial expressions? you must hate alot of people then.
@Tidal_Abyss yeah.... Its all YOU... and oh, nothing personal.
@Born_Lucky windows 8 is in xbone180 so no not going to change that. an xbot before listed that as a benefit... thats why he got outed as an xbot.
@etryus Well, I'm not a male, and I prefer him- though usually I like having some of the ladies report more- but between these two, I'd pick him, it's not even close.
Wrong. The general population of gamers doesn't support your argument. The "majority" of the minority of vocal fanboys and people with a prior hatred for Microsoft (mad about windows or some crap) on gaming and tech forums and comment sections do feel that way.
I don't feel this high and mighty ego nor do I feel slighted by every little quote or bias article.
I fully support Microsofts vision of the Xbox one. (Yes even before the 180). There are so many entertainment features I'm excited about along sided the gaming.
@PeejayYeh noooo!! they found me I regret noooooooooothing!!!! XD
@Saketume @Aentikraist i know i know thanks for the link though!! but i though still i was kinda worried i thought Jess was gping to disappear as the UK black haired girl that announced as well and the redhead girl some year ago!! doesnt feel good u know XD!!
@Aentikraist @morredor Not at all, i didnt mean to be negative like 99% comments on the internet, I just honestly cant keep up with her sometimes. Its just sad how the internet is nowadays, full of arrogant brats swearing and bitching, like that other (not you) dude above "Get your facts straight!"...give me a break...
@Saketume you counted syllables ? Why ? creep O.O
@SaketumeShe starts fine, but towards the end she tends to rush a bit. I'm a foreign guy, english its not my first language, although I'm fairly good at, sometimes I get lost in her news, always somewhere in the end.
@leviathanwing I think you're taking it out of context- put it to you this way, if someone said that about me- I'd laugh and think it's cool! Did you wonder if it was 'that' bad why you were the only one to complain, and there's plenty complainers on this thread! -That's because it's not.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to Steam. Later gs :)
@leviathanwing LOL oh I assure you, I'm hardly the only one, you just won't catch them here because they're too busy avoiding the page like I always have until I saw someone else hosting it.
Besides, what's it matter to you? Does it stop you from coming here? Someone can say Shaun looks like a serial killer with no offense meant on their part but can't say something similar about her w/no offense meant?? -get over the double standard and stop being so easily offended.
@stanknuggetz12 How can I be wrong in voicing my opinion?
There are a lot of people that are die hard fans of the Xbox Console that are just as much of a fan as both you and I (Yes I like the Xbox) that are upset about how Microsoft has been handling everything.
The "High and Mighty" comment was used to illustrate how Microsoft is too proud to give a formal apology, and fix the confusion that has been prevalent since day one.
Also, the majority and minority of people posting here ARE gamers. That is not including other forums, blogs, social media site, etc. that are voicing their opinion on how they feel about Microsoft's mishaps.
If the general population of gamers didn't support or agree with my comment, then answer me this.. Why are there so many unhappy people with Microsoft? And why so many posts about it? And if it wasn't such a big deal, why is it right now?
Personally I want to take an unbiased view of everything and analyse what is going on, and voice what I think of the situation. That in itself does not make any statement I say right or wrong.
Nor does that give me, or anyone else for that matter, the right to say what someone else says is right or wrong.
I hope you understand what I am saying.
@iempire68 Agreed. It isn't going to be a big issue unless you make it into a big issue. Microsoft certainly have made things into a really BIG issue with gamers. Needless to say that is what has spurn on the recent debates, trolling, and hate towards Microsoft.
Things could of been different than how it is now, if they had taken proper steps to correct it, then nothing at all.
Opportunity wasted indeed.
Aussie and British english pronounce most words very very clearly compared to chinese/japanese and the likes, even compared to americans.
To be honest, I never missed a single word, those who do probably just lose focus cause they're too busy drooling over her instead of listening to what she's actually saying!
@Stardust7 Because everyone keeps whining about how fast she talks. Or talk about her hand gestures being repetetive. Shaun also makes the same hand gestures over and over but IT'S NOT REALLY IMPORTANT so wth.
@morredor English is not my primary language either.
It's fine being critical but make the critisism accurate and consistent then.
@Saketume Then maybe her accent ? idk
