MS is wasting money on Fallout 4 DLC timed exlusivity.. (it will have zero influence on the game sales for the XO and PS4)
for a big open world Game like Destiny or Fallout 4 you need to play it on the PS4, if you're getting a console version..
Woo! Awesome! TES is good, but FO is where its at for me and probably the last Bethesda product I buy.
Now I just have to hope for a few things... it uses the Skyrim engine to look pretty as hell (and hopefully not as buggy - wishful thinking), its also on PS3 as I'm not done with this gen anytime soon annnnd it goes on sale rather quick 'cuz I don't want Bethesda to get my money, honestly. XD
As a budding terrorist who had quit WoW years ago, I must make it clear that I vehemently refuse any mining of my secret terrorist data on any of my WoW accounts. This infringes my rights and privacy as a citizen, and I will sue the NSA, CIA, Google, Blizzard, and all involved parties and demand the maximum penalty. Right after I get out of Guantanamo, that is. And I'm actually serious; I'm even half-Arab to prove it!
Wow...modern citizens of the "Land of the Free" must either be Rednecks, zombies...or be very, very ashamed and disappointed. I'm sure there aren't third categories under Uncle Sam's rule and Homeland Security hogwash today.
love the fallout series and looking forward to a part 4. I have to admit however that I am disheartened at it more than likely taking place in an american city yet again. Is anyone else curious what happened to the rest of the world in the fallout universe? Like china for example whose forces play a significant role in the fallout canon.
Fallout 4 would be nice, but considering nothing has been officially announced, I'm guessing it's at least 2 years off. That's assuming they are working on it now of course. This will probably get me crucified for saying, but I'd like to see some multiplayer in it too. Not MMO style like they're doing with ESO, but it'd be nice if I could invite a buddy or two to come play around in my world for a little bit. Kind of like how borderlands has it set up. Fallout lets you take A.I. companions around, so why not a real life friend instead?
I could tolerate being paid to play WoW w/o paying the sub fee. Sure, it'd be a chore, but I would do it... for my country. ;)
do you know what i just bought on STEAM?
Broken Sword, All the tomb raiders, The original Fallouts, Final fantasy 7 and 8 and The original Ghost recons and Splinter cells and Fallout 3 GOTY edition and Oblivion.
So if you want backwards compatability, seriously get a PC, you wont regret it, if you want a backward compatability. Ditch your console and go PC for backwards Compatability. Like not just games in teh last 6 years, im talking backwards compatibility from like the 80's-2013 and even Pinmame that gives you all the real true to life Pinball machines on your PC that use to be in the arcades and even MAME. console emulators. Its endless.
Its almost to good. PC gaming could destroy your life, its that good.
I don't know if they were spying on Americans that were playing WOW, but the rumors about N Korea and Chinese players using all the gold trading for money laundering was a pretty good excuse to look into it IMO.
But then again it is a pretty good excuse to play video games at work.
I find a hard time believing that the supposed Fallout 4 script revealed by kotaku is real. This sentence in particular caught my attention: "We now stand on the brink of total war... and I'm afraid for myself, for my wife and my infant son" This would suggest that the player is forced to be a male character which would be kind of weird. Bethesda is all about the freedom in roleplaying, and this suggests a more strict path. Maybe it's just a draft, or Bethesda is doing some major changes, or it could be just another hoax. Nothing in it strikes me as authentic, but I might be wrong.
It is funny how we still forget that when a hard drive says X GB it never actually has that much available.
Like on PC I always forget about Windows and the fact it actually takes up some space.
Why would people want to make Xbone backward compatible, what they really need is to make Xbox 360 forward Compatible, then it will be perfect.
It's my birthday in a few days, which someone would give me a shoutout on one of her two Monday shows!
@JW2252I hear and understand but don't agree. I think Mass Effect 3 was a failure because of the bolt on multi player that took resources away from single player experience. Just give us a good single player game or do a ground up reboot like Elder Scrolls on line. Don't give us mediocre ME3 again.
@HipHopBeats yeah, because Skyrim on PS3 was such a success.... oh wait.
@nyran125tkMost of the games you mention do not age well. Other than the novelty they offer little compared to current games. If you played them when they came out don't look back and if you are a new player looking for nostalgia, well your mileage will vary but expect lots of disappointment in the PC closet.
Finally, carpel tunnel is a bitch and mouse and keyboard are as un-ergonomic as they come. I also don't miss the constant upgrade curve of OS / CPU / Graphics / Memory / HD / Motherboard just to play the latest games. After having moved away from that to the couch/controller i'll never go back.Plus being able to churn those little discs for new games is a huge benefit that is long gone from PC gaming.
Don't live in the past. Embrace change.
@nyran125tk Ur steam list is incomplete! dont forget about the last of us, halo 4, gears of war, god of war, uncharted.. hmm what else..
@colbster Likely not even possible, the most powerful PCs likely couldn't even emulate xbox 360 or ps3 yet.
@colbsterIt was terrible on the 360. Many games didn't work and nearly every one had slowdowns, no widescreen, glitches etc. Even if they do it I wouldn't count on it being very good.
@starjay009 you are only seeing her gamespot smiley face, who knows what shes like in real life. Probably awesome, but you never know, she might be a complete bitch. Never judge a book by its cover.
Jks , shes probably aweosome but theres millions of girls out there dude
@ban_fur playing the same game over and over for 8 hours a day for 12 months for minimum wage (Their minimum wage which is even worse), would be shit. Thats not fun , thats a JOB!!
@ban_fur The "rumors" aren't rumors.
@yngsten "When I watched the New Vegas trailer where the flying robot got shot I thought I was going to be forced into playing that robot." He said sarcastically.
Seriously though its just another character saying that stuff. By your logic you would think you were going to be forced into playing Ron Pearlman. The person saying that stuff is probably a character central to the plot. You are completely off base here.
@Dannystaples14 Indeed, it's something people just need to know and not get butthurt when their hard drives aren't for example actually 500 GB like advertised, but instead divide the quoted size by 1,074 and you get the actual size of the drive.
@Grimkillah that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever
@RicanV Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you...
@ahztek @HipHopBeats Surely Bethesda has learned from their mistakes by now, and besides it would likely be a ps4 title, which is even easier to develop for than X1, so I doubt they'd have any problems.
@kinglionoPlease give me a break. I dont mind embracing the change...as long as its the change for good. Games like HL2, Planescape Torment, Fallout 1/2 age like wine while novadays games age like shi.. Each time I run those games Im asking myslef what a hell happened with games today. Of course many of them have dated graphics but the whole mechanics, freedom, complexity, unpredictability, atomosphere are something that is missing in today games. I dont say all console games are bad, Ive spend endless hours with Gears of War but there is also so much recycled shit.
@ddom7777 @nyran125tk No one is going to give a shit about HAlO 4 in a few years time, but i can guarentee you people will still be playing half life 2 in 5 years n PC and many many others. Thats the thing with games on Console, you just move onto the next thing, whereas on PC you get to enjoy all your games forever.
I meant that the US intelligence was using it as a means of playing games not the N Koreans. Sorry was not clear and I totally agree with you.
Unless the person titled "player" somehow is Ron Pearlman I'm not that off, but I believe you are by having an opinion on something you clearly haven't seen.
"PC you get to enjoy all your games forever."
You conveniently ignored the part about the games you can't play on PC and actually "enjoy all of your games forever."
@nyran125tkWho wants to enjoy games forever? We got people to see...things to do.
@yngsten @CaveManCobb man that dude who narrates fallout sounds just like George Clooney. Seriously, load up your game, close your eyes, Its just like Clooney.
Thank you Einstein. This is from the article Jess is refering to:
"War. War never changes," is the classic introduction used at the beginning of Fallouts 1, 2, and 3. That speech is typically narrated by actor Ron Perlman, although this page seems to suggest that the player-character will read the monologue this time around.
Why don't you go ahead and read it.
@yngsten Its part of the war never changes speech at the start of every fallout...
