Glad Chris is for another day. Maybe they could alternate Jess and Chris between weeks or maybe between days.
Can't GameSpot find a hot chick to read the news everyday or something? Or at least not post a picture of this ugly ginger's big ugly head in the link for this feature every freaking day?!? I think I'd rather watch a naked grandmother read the news than Conan O'Brien's unfunny little brother.
A movie based on WoW? That sound scary. I'm afraid. Dare i go out now?
Anyway, Steam OS sounds cool. Yay for Linux. More Linux for everyone.
Interesting news today.
Steam OS sounds great, but the number of games currently supported on Linuz via Steam is rather small. Once the library goes it will be a viable option, until then MInt for me, thank you very much,
Women making up that much of the Xbox Live audiance sounds... bogus. Don't get me wrong but I simply do not buy these statiscs. I'm 100% sure that is some sort of PR manipulation on the definition of audience.
I hope TLOU dlc cofus on either Ish or Joel and his brother. Those are two stories I'm most interested in, but hey, if it shows how Marlene formed the Fireflies I'll not complain.
Last of Us single player DLC Yes please..
Though I'm sure multiplayer is great, I'm not interested, (I have too many other games to catch up with).
How good is Last of Us multiplayer ? Should I be tempted?
Unless I missed it you only mentioned the tegra processor of the surface 2.
The surface 2 pro will have an intel i5 haswell processor.
Crazy prices though. $1800 for the 512GB storage, 8GB RAM unit.
I could buy a laptop with dual nvidia gtx 770 in SLI for that.
Wow, I was wondering if I should return The Last of Us for credit in exchange for anything (Maybe preorder on PS4 or whatever) now I'm glad I chose otherwise!
Something was holding me back from bringing it back for a trade.
I just felt that returning and giving up on such a masterpiece would be terribly wrong even if I wouldn't ever play it again! (Besides I did hold on to the 3 Uncharted games, It wouldn't have been logical to return The Last of Us!)
Well now that we know there'll be DLC content even for the story mode confirms it!
Lots of people weren't so satisfied with the ending anyway, maybe it was mean to be that way to allow DLC contents afterwards...
I just hope that for 20$ we'll get a "not too short" chapter.
I've been deceived with the latest DLC for "The Walking Dead" game. It was hella short but it was only 5$...
The Last of Us took me overall ±20 hours to complete (trying to find everything and playing on "hard" difficulty) so I hope I can expect a ±2~3 hours long additionnal chapter...
Can't wait for some more The Last of Us. Already beat the regular single player twice and I need something to pull me away from GTA V.
The best bit of news... Steam is trying to create it's own OS platform which I think is fantastic, lets not forget that Gabe and the other founders of Valve all were original Microsoft Programmers, who help create and design the first Window's and Window's 95 that changed the world. I love Half-life, but I would much rather have these great minds, create an OS that can replace Window's for gamers like myself....
"Good News Everyone!" thanks chris gonna be missin ya soon.
love the steam news and can't wait for more. Love Last of Us.
@Pieter101 New site and new webplayer next month.
Yeah, both guys are cool.
@racho34 I second that notion :)
@twisted_outlaw The high end Surface is targeting corporate customers not private pundits. The lower end is on par with iPad so Methinks you may be wrong.
@BARRICADE_28 Conan Obrien rules don't u ever even THINK about dissing on him
@BARRICADE_28 Dude are you here for the news? or looking for a hot guy?
What a loser comment. Get a girlfriend, or something...
@BARRICADE_28 Wow, you're a weirdo. Chris Watters is one of three worthwhile personalities on this site. If hot chicks are what you need, feel free to make use of 90% of the internet.
@Toplinkar I agree, that female stat is too high. I've played a lot of XBL games with open chat, party chat, etc. and the ratio of guys to girls is like 10:1
@spartanx169x Personally was hoping Chris would take over. Not really a fan of Jess'.
@spartanx169x she is sleeping atm. I will be waking her up shortly :P
@dipdish The whole idea is bad at this point. I think they just waited too long to get to this. World of Warcraft is old tired news. I might have been interested four years ago.
@Onioki If you like playing online then yes, it's refreshingly different. If you start it give it a chance for a while because at first you won't be used to how your supposed to play it what with all the run and gun games out there but when you get to grips with the methodical, strategic slower paced tense action you'll love it. It's very very well crafted and a great compliment to the single player due to it incorporating the crafting and neccessary looting from the campaign into the online matches. It's when you're with a team of experienced players that realise moving in a group is the only way to win that the game shines.
@Silv3rSt0rm82 Who was dissatisfied with the ending!? And what is wrong with them?! TLOU is up there with Bioshock Infinite as one of the best game endings ever imo! Absolutely brilliant, so many gamers are so shallow wanting the end to their games to be all flowers and rainbows it's ridiculous, life isn't like that, especially life after a world wide catastrophy.
@Silv3rSt0rm82 That seems like a pretty modest expectation for an additional chapter runtime, so I think you'll be all set. Sounds like you haven't played the multiplayer much, though. I highly recommend it!
@C0nv3rsE_VIP SO hard, right?? Finally, someone who understands my plight.
@eyematter It'll be really interesting to see what they come up with to distinguish SteamOS from the other OSes hangin' around these days.
@Doombot6000 Aww, I'll miss you GSNewsers too. But I'll still be around on the site! Ever watched The Gun Show? It's kind of like GSNews, only instead of news and snark, it's tips and slightly unhinged humor.
@Saketume I'm tempted! But I'd have to go through some significantly not-magnificent scraggletime and I don't think my wife would abide it.
I'm sure many would.
It's a smart move. They could take a great piece of the market pie from MS if they get gamers to switch OS even on their secondary PC media boxes.
Then over time evolve it to a full fledged "any software" OS.
I'm only interested if it's not locked down to steam games, however.
