Jesuz, it tells me to log in when I try to comment twice, but it still posts both attempts.

Sorry about that, don't know if I can delete that..

The PS+ requirement is fine by me. The only problem I can think of is if they take off all the "free games" and "discount" perks, since they're making it mandatory.

Also, does this only apply to the PS4 or are they doing this for PS3 as well? Just curious.

Just want to add something, Carolyn. Shuhei also said that not ALL online games will require the PS+ subscription in order to play multiplayer online. Games that are free-to-play for instance will NOT require a PS+ subscription to play online. There are also a couple more instances that the PS+ subscription will not be required that he mentioned in the same article, but I cannot recall at the moment.

If Sony keep giving us good quality games through ps+ then everybody should get it. You wouldn't be paying just for online play and it'll be worth $50 a year. Next month games for Europe will be Battlefield 3, Saints Row 3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma +, Unit 13 among others. Other games we have gotten is  XCOM Enemy unknown, Hitman Absolution, Red Dead Redemption, Uncharted 3, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Demon Souls just to mention a few. Other services like Netflix and so on won't be behind the pay wall. My biggest problem right now is that I haven't got the time to play all those free ps+ games.

$50 per year is not bad.  Worth every penny in my perspective.

Makes sense, but I still don't want to play for online.

Wii U, here I come!
