And all the Sony fanboys realize their comments about Microsoft being evil for DRM are curiously silent.
Console owners considering abandoning consoles altogether for pads and phone gaming, with some getting PC rigs.
I wont buy any console with DRM.
With 30+ years as a gamer this are sad news for me
Wii U may be my last console.
its amazing that everyone says they follow M$ when its simply complying with publishers. I think that publishers like Ubisoft and EA had clear plans for next gen and it was up to Sony and M$ to comply. I think in this business Sony can not afford to not comply as this could mean blacklisting. Sure gamers could rise up and say we wont buy the X1 or crave the blacklisted games but id doubt it. all it takes is a publisher like Activision saying no COD on ps4 if there is no DRM or EA saying no FIFA or Ubisoft saying no Assassin's Creed to cripple the system. Gamers are fickle and impatient.
No mandatory Internet connection = no DRM block for second hand games.
Not for all of them anyway. Sure Sony could implement a partial block. But one would always be able to play a second hand game with the PS4 disconnected. As soon as it connects, though, you're doomed. The DRM synchs and goodbye.
could happen I find the new camera for the PS4 does look like some security Camera to me so PS4 could go the same way as Xbox one I hope not though. It would suck even though sony did say we can still buy used games But they left it at that so it makes you think there leaving it the same way as the PS3 and I hope they do
If it doesn't happen for one and happens for the other there is going to be a rift in space so deep even black holes will be like "Fuck man don't want to go near that!"
Also that font in the video is the worst excuse for text I have ever experienced.
I'm glad you're highlighting this. I'm pretty sure Sony has been planning to follow MS in this. They've evaded direct questions all year. I just hope they reconsider now that they've seen the bad press MS has been getting.
If not then I'll just stick to my PC.
@ReDsKuLLz786He changed his mind apparently. http://www.gamespot.com/news/yoshida-talks-all-things-playstation-4-6404291
@slaintaIt may not mean a 24 hour online connection. http://www.gamespot.com/news/yoshida-talks-all-things-playstation-4-6404291 That's the last time Sony really got into it.
I just took the first article I've found in Internet since there are so many. We'll see Monday indeed. Unless Sony takes it back, that is it.
