people who think resolution dosent matter just go sit down there called jaggies ill just be sitting on my pc with none of them and console will be dancing with pixelation just like every outher game lol
Will it look even close to what was showed at E3 a few years ago. Not PC, but on the PS4 and X1? Just a few days away! The premise of the game seems awesome either way. Hope it plays and looks good.
PS4 is a much more powerful system than Xbox One. Try to deny it all you want but the hardware specs tell the truth.
I really don't get why people even care if a game is in 720p, 1080p, whatever, it doesn't matter to me. People should stop complaining and comparing two systems that honestly are nothing alike.
I honestly don't see how people are excited for watch dogs.. The hacking thing looks entertaining for maybe 20 minutes topps.. Making a car crash from changing the traffic light is that really worth 60 dollars to you?
And hacking is not as cool when its laid out for you like a 12yr old..
Whatever happened to the days where story and gameplay made a game fun instead of resolution and fps?
Sometimes I wonder if people would buy a turd game as long as the turd was in 2160p and moved at 120fps. This is just pointless bickering and most people who play on a 60-inch screen or less will hardly notice a difference.
Can we just admit that Watch Dogs looks like it will be fun on Xbox One, PS4, or PC? lol!
Can't wait for watchdogs and resolution is important but 900p on Ps4 I think is fantastic regardless. So bare in mind this game has been in development for 5 and a half years, so I'm looking forward to it.
Oh by the way Jess you look hot and great cleavage on show too. Think you look stunning and great reporting too keep up the good work.
30fps = lol. low res = lol.
I thought it would be a struggle even on a half decent PC. I was genuinely interested to see it running so well on consoles. This explains a lot.
Her voice is grating - why so many women announcers???; I'm all for equality but this is like a Gamespot campaign to correct all of the inequalities ever made in history; you can't get away from these annoying Euro accented women talking about gaming (and most of them aren't even interesting to look at, either) - and this isn't Gamespot UK so why do I have to hear someone speaking in a British accent??? Really want to address inequality? How about hiring some people of a different race? Hire some Black people... there you go. ANYWAY - about the resolution issue:
WHO CARES and SO WHAT (or should I say SO WUT?)
I personally don't feel that resolution is so important that it is worth sacrificing other important aspects of a game's graphical fidelity just to reach a min. of 1080p. Though saying it's "just a number" seems more than a little disingenuous. Obviously it matters. The important thing to keep in mind is that resolution and frame rate are not the only things that matter.
Sacrifices had to be made and they felt that it was better to lower the resolution and frame rate than reduce the other, equally important, aspects of the game's presentation. I trust the developers to make the difficult decisions as to what is the most important to get the most out of the game. It is their game after all. Having said that, I plan on getting Watch Dogs on the p.c. now. (I'm confident the other versions will be just as awesome though.)
1080p, umm, nice cleavage Jess, or 720, if they can do 1080p, they should its next gen afterall, nice cleavage
Of course there's a difference between 1080p and 720p. Just take a look at Titanfall in PC vs the XB1 versions. The graphics are noticeably sharper and you can run it at more than 60 fps with the right hardware. But that's expected from consoles with crappy outdated GPU's...The most important thing though, is the frame rate. As long as the game is fluid and playable, resolution is not as important.
I'll be playing the Master Race version of Watchdogs in all its 1080p 60+ fps glory.
Are people honestly surprised that the new consoles can't run games 1080p/60fps? ps4 = inbetween 7850 and 7870, xb1=between 7770ghz and 7790, these 2 cards are minimum for 1080p gaming, minimum as in with medium-ish graphics settings with framerate between 30-60fps, never a constant 60fps. So of course ubisoft wont be targeting 1080/60, they know people who bought the current gen consoles want a nice graphical bump, so they're making sacrifices. Some of you can't have honestly believed these consoles could push "next-gen" graphics at FHD and 60fps.
I have a Tv full HD, a cable channel full HD, a surround system that is amazing, a Blu-ray for maximizing the experience with the TV and the sound surround system. Now some company like Ubisoft or Microsoft are telling me that Full HD games is not necessary for my experience to enjoy the content of the game........THAT IS B****SH***!
The environment in which you play the game affects your overall experience and contributes to your enjoyment. Clarity is less tiring on the eyes.
@dannydopamine8 I don't understand how people are excited for any game, really. I mean a lot of RPGs are the same, swords/shields/magic, skills, level up, you're the chosen one... etc. GTA, steal, kill, get chased by cops, huge explosions, gratuitous violence, etc... Sports - commentary, seasons, transfers, drafts... FPS's explosions, guns, repetitive multiplayer...
I know... everybody is such an HD connoisseur these days, eh? I could care less about about a few lines of pixels here and there.
@smokeless_0225 People have always been Graphics hounds, look at the PS1 launch, people loved battle arena tosiden it was compared to Street Fighter, and that game was horrible.
if you wanted 4k at 120FPS, buy a PC lol.
I can tell the difference between 1440p at 4k if im closer then 5 feet, most people are on couches but even when I was a kid I always was a few feet away, but the bigger deal is 30FPS, that part made me disappointed a smooth frame rate is huge, and dont give the 30FPS is more cinematic crap, because its like saying pretty games hurt my eyes.
I will agree that the game will be amazing no matter where you play it and in the end were all gamers.
@TheJamin i5 Sandy bridge or newer and GTX 670 is what most of the devs run to get ultra at 1080p
@magusat999 Good Job there Mr. Equality. She's Australian, not British. She has a fantastic voice, as well as looks, delivery and knowledge of games. We're enjoying her show greatly. if you're not go elsewhere and leave us be.
@magusat999 Ah yes Australia - That little shire in the South of Britain.
Youre all for equality? Yet you don't like women talking about videogames? What should they be doing? Baking you a pie?
& maybe they hired her simply because she was best for the job? Or is that not possible since shes a woman?
& who cares? clearly you do since you clicked on the video.
@RevLux No other versions will be inferior, like always...
Thats why I want all games to come to pc, no more console exclusives. So that gamers at least can choose to get everything out of it or go for the low res console version
@lorider25 Anyone who uses the phrase "master race," w/o being facetious, instantly loses. Regardless of the context.
Wow really? I can play titan fall in a slightly higher resolution if I spend 3 times the amount of money?? : O *gets out wallet* take my money! take it!
The card they have is probably $80 ish. ( Ebay GTX 470 )
$400 (XO) - $80 + $330 ( Nvidia GTX 770 ) = $650
Are you willing to dish out $650 for a new console not including Kinect?
Probably should just go get a PC at that price right? Yep... exactly.
@neskins I'd love to help you build a Gaming PC buddy!
@neskins so you want 1080p but with 20fps? Sorry, this would be just unplayable. And reducing the details in-game is no question since it makes the game uglier than reducing the resolution a little more.
@AceBalls How about framerate and resolution... Pc version has both. Don't buy a ps4
@tribeofasher If you can't tell the difference good on you bro, but I hate the backlash for anyone who can tell the difference.
@solar3137 @magusat999 Doesn't matter what she is, she isn't American and this isn't the Aussie gamespot siite. Gimme a fat guy who never leaves his basement couch except to refill on cheetos, who actually KNOWS about games and speaks like an AMERICAN every day over some fake British accenting Aussie - or anyone not American - any day, I came here to hear about gaming, not because of raging hormones (and even if I were a horny dude, there are plenty of AMERICAN women I can deal with...
@shenmuethree I don't see you advocating for hiring Black people in your comment - you completely ignored that point, Mr. Equality. This is the USA Gamespot, not the UK, Brit or AUS one (she's Australian but one of those who are perpetrating as British - its a kiss of the rear thats spreading the cheeks of Australia for a few years now... where is her AUSTRALIAN ACCENT???) - so I feel well within my rights to be irritated by being forced to parse someone's accents and cultural specific vernacular (its bathroom, not water closet and what, not wat - for example. I am not more wrong about my position than someone who wouldn't want Gamespot videos to be dominated by street thugs speaking street slang,
Furthermore, I embrace equality - on a NATIONAL scale, not GLOBAL. It does NOTHING for my fellow Americans to have people outside of our country get jobs they and their family could and should be holding. If, for example, your making a video for Japanese people, your going to hire people who look and SPEAK Japanese. Why we as Americans are supposed to skip that basic rule of communication and accept some person speaking to us in a foreign accent is beyond ridiculous to me.
And NO she isn't the best for the job, I've heard better just walking down the street.
@RevLux People who use pc are just more sensible with their money.
There is really no reason to go for a console anymore... All the classic arguments like controller, price and TV access have become invalid.
@shenmuethree An awful lot of people are more than willing to spend double the cost of a console, on a cell phone, so I guess it's all relative.
You can do a LOT more things with a PC than you can with a console so the direct price argument seems unfair. Both are good for content consumption, though the pc is undeniably a more powerful platform for it. As for content creation, consoles are pretty much dead in the water. PC's are not simply just video game machines, even if they are superior to consoles in that regard.
Prob not....nor has he preordered Destiny, lol!
