Double Fine looks boring.
Oculus Rift will not see wide spread adoption because of it's bulky size and very heavy weight. Not something that will be fun to wear on your face. When virtual reality glasses/goggles cover your entire field of view with video screen and weigh less than a pair of swim goggles, then you may have something.
can i use this with glasses on without any reduced quality? since i see articles on those who used the dev kit that having to use a eyeglasses is a no
I have bad eyesight( i shouldnt have played too much T.T ) now i might not enjoy this to the fullest sigh...
What the fuck did Schafer spend that money on? It's a bloody adventure game, not Call of BattleHalo.
I'll get a Oculus Rift when it goes retail. for now I'll wait.
also can't wait for PS4. the holiday season can't come soon enough!!
The oculus Rift really is an exciting piece of tech, no surprises there. I might pick one up AFTER some reviews are up so I can see if it doesn't cause nausea and if the games really get that exciting.
Old news, PC has always been best and always will. I'm mostly getting consoles for price and exclusives but PC is king
So Sony is bundling a game without the hardware required to play it.....hmmm....how f'in stupid can you be?
Why, this thing isnt even a games console! Its should be considered along side viewing devices such as 3dtv's and flatscreens and not something that can be used to display the consoles there competing against. Its like saying a fork beats the flavor of lasagne.
@NetGod It is not heavy and bulky. You feel it's on your face, but it's absolutely not problem and gives no sense of weight at all imho. It will have it's challenges, but it's really really good - even at the prototype stage. You sort of have to experience it to understand what it brings to the table, but it's incredibly immersive to play Half-Life II on it. Your sense of space inside it is unbeliable, and it shooters (if you can handle the rapid motion) you have such an awsome awareness of the locations of enemies in the gamespace around you. It's the next generation (:
@Toplinkar The whole nausea thing is on a person to person basis, some people get motion sick if they turn their head to fast. You'll have to try it to really see if it will affect you. If you can watch a 3D movie you should and I say should be able to use one with no problems. As for excitement, that is left to be seen.
@jark888 1 step closer to a SAO/ALO/Gundale like gamers experiance.
@honkeytot I kind of like it (: I think she is an excellent presenter.
@EL_Bomberdor That's called a "Lazy Eye"....this girl looks like she got bashed in the face with a stick....everything on her face is crooked...
Fact is it's not useless without the camera,
you can still do some things with the controller alone.
why not do some research before you think you know everything about the subject, please.
@vatorus Why is an option f'in stupid? Quick somebody help me out here.
@vatorus it's not like they'll force us to buy the hardware (wink)
@torreth1They are all pieces of hardware shown at E3. There's your comparison.
I agree that the Oculus rift was the best thing shown at E3.Neither next-gen console impressed very much.
No but everytime Sony says it's giving something free there's some catch behind it.
Just like they say you get free games and stuff on PS+ when you've got to pay $50 to access them, and you lose everything the moment your subscription expires, So you're basicly just renting everything.
@vatorus you are going to hell my friend lol
You're contradicting yourself when you say she's ugly and got her job for her good looks.
She's very good at being a video journalist so your theory lacks weight.
Keep your accusations to yourself till you at least have some sort of evidence.
Manners. Google it.
Your opinions of women are disgusting. Seek professional help.
@erwingameon @Toysoldier34 so what?you expect them to give 1k$ value of games for a 50$ subscription? heres the catch we are paying for the service ( multiplayer access) like how xbox live since the start of its service
Since you oviously didn't get the facts the first 2 times around here it is a 3rd time. You don't get free games on PS+, you're paying $50 a year just to rent them.
@Toysoldier34 @erwingameon @GameYakuza A very good point, Microshaft are trying to shove their rotten Kinect down peoples throats who don't want it. The sensible thing would have been for them to offer Xbone either with or without their kinect spy cam, for a lower price.
Then they would have been about equal price with Sony, but no, obviously a lot of people had no use for kinect on the 360, so they made it an essential part for Xbone, by building all their media interactivity around it!
Really stupid idea because I for one have lost all interest in Xbone, quite apart from it having second rate old hardware like DDR 3.
Much better to stay with my 360 for a console, plus my ever evolving pc..
Not a very good joke since you're not buying a Kinect, your buying a XboxOne where Kinect is just part of the system.
The value of PS+ i leave entirely up to you, but just to point it out again, you don't get the games, you're renting them.
