GS News - NRA condemns games in wake of Connecticut shooting
National Rifle Association vice president Wayne LaPierre says violent video games like Bulletstorm and Mortal Kombat partially to blame for last week's deadly shooting in Connecticut.
Ok NRA. Good luck with that. I'm going to stick to condemning a system which allows the mentally ill to have access to high powered assault weapons. Oh! and continue to enjoy violent video games, music, movies and other mediums, the same way art has been enjoyed and distributed for hundreds of years, to people who have no inclination to draw such parallels between those mediums and their actions. If we measured all concepts by that rational, Jackson Pollock would be a rapist, Shakespeare was a satanist, and yogi bear was in fact a robber.
I've played video games since I was 5 years old (violent ones like mortal kombat and Duke Nukem ect..) But what happens in games doesnt effect my life out of games... I h8 violences out of games... Thats one of the reasons why I play video game(to do what "I cant in real life")
Oh sure blame the video games because you won't admit you made mistakes! I wrote a blog about this and this is why mature games suffer greatly. Still all those little kids died from a sick man NOT VIDEO GAMES!! XO
yes, GAMES ARE ART...
stupid ignorant people... fill your pockets with money and comment on things you have no f\_/cking idea....
go home NRA , you are drunk !
Americans are a bunch of retards with their obsesive arm rights, i'm frome Romania , were a poor country but we get along , and gues what we never had a problem with shootouts like this , why ? u ask - we are not allowed do have lethal firearms .....
I do hope this man loses his job soon.
I am sick of seeing this drabble come out whenever there's gun violence either in the US or EU.
@Mercaptan I'm from Brazil and we are now allowed to have guns here either. And we don't have things like these down here too.
@Mercaptan I'm from Poland - same situation here.
