100% always prefer the lower price?  That's quite a brash generalization.  And it is entirely untrue.  People will gravitate towards what gives them more satisfaction, even if they have to spend a little bit of extra cash.  It's simple microeconomics there activision CEO; what will maximize the consumer's "life satisfaction."

Foolish statement.

Go do your focus group on a "gazillion people."  Let us know how that turns out.  If you manage to find a "gazillion people."

Microsoft lost my support way before they DRM for XBox One, does any current or previous 360 owner remember the many different types of rings of death? Not to mention the many different types of read error issues with their DVD drives?

I'll do one better, lets go retro does any previous original XBox owner remember the many different types of over heating issues and read error issues with those systems? I can't find a Original Xbox that have not been through some sort of refurbish fix.

Microsoft has a history of releasing garbage consoles, I have an origial Playstation from 1996 that still works flawlessly today. Never refurbished, all original parts.

And a PS2 never any issues, same with a PS3 never any issues.

M$ will have to win the hearts and minds of gamers? To bad they crushed that when the announced the DRM and did a One80 when they saw how much money they were losing. Good Luck trying to win back the people who you stabbed in the back~

Didn't PS3 launch at $600? Didn't people still buy it?

I'm not sure he's very good with logic ... wouldn't this mean that there shouldn't be a single pre-order for the new XBox?

Activation is right so far, M$ will have to win the hearts and minds of the gamers. It won't be an easy task, just ask military or the Pentagon themselves, I bet they would explain how complex it is to please people.

@benherd

Furthermore, it's a bogus claim. There area good number of people who tend to sway towards the more experience  item, since often times the increase in price is usually justified by increase in quality, features, etc. It isn't until after I do my research on the products that I make my decision which to buy.

@VastGameMaster

Part of the reason for packing so many extra features into the X1, so that they don't have to worry as much about convincing just gamers. They deliberately made the console marketable to people other than the core audience.

@blkgto

Key word what you said is Sony "Products"

In that case sure.....

I had an early 80's Sony Beta max become a paper weight, So I feel your pain.

@H0RSE @VastGameMaster exactly.  Activision should be worrying about the issues they are having, rather than worrying about what a tech juggernaut like Microsoft will do.

Topic: Consoles

You were not specific with your response. "Products" covers all of ground there buddy.

As to my original post my opinion still stands, thank you for providing yours. Even though you were not specific.

@Drcaul @blkgto An idiotic reply.  Did you know, did it ever occur to you, did you ever come to the stark, astounding, brainbusting realization that the Sony Playstation is in fact a Sony product?

If you're going to dish out smart-assed responses, try to critically think your way through what the original poster is saying.
