GS Breakdown - Rainbow Six Siege Impressions
Aaron and Ryan discuss some of the tactics and details that were revealed during several rounds of Rainbow Six Siege.
The guns seem a little too easy to handle for a game like this, hopefully that's something they're still tweaking, otherwise it'll be nothing but spray-and-pray tactics in these kind of enclosed spaces.
Looks great, i dont like the climbing up a rope with the gun in the same spot as if you were running in a room, it should automatically switch to handgun like it did in vegas, and vegas 2. Also Ryan on the left seemed like he didnt wanna be at work today lol
Liking the look of this.
So glad that they finally understood it that healthregen is not tactical in anyway.
Can someone ask the developers if single spawn modes will be the only game modes? And will the high destructibility only be in the single spawn modes?
If it's all single spawn then sales of this game will suck, people don't want to be watching other people play half the time.
I just have to say again the destruction is too crazy, but I realize people want that craziness like an action movie. Aaron seems to speak for the typical modern shooter fan, and while I also like pushing technical boundaries, physics, non-contextual mechanics, choice/freedom, there should be a limit given this game's real world setting. Maybe the supply of ammo and gadgets will keep the destruction somewhat in check, but still probably not enough to satisfy an old RB6 tactical fan like me.
I would much prefer to see a more realistic approach, where the environment has a lot to do with how you engage. Bl0wing through structures like an exterior wall or roof, or even interior walls, shouldn't be your first choice in most cases and should come with substantial increased risks, such as injuring a hostage or even injuring yourself.
Ah what am I saying, people like to bl0w stuff up and that's what this game will give them :). I never really expected this to be a new tactical shooter like the old days of the franchise.
@spacecadet25 Yea because Counter Strike never thrived with that model...
All the same though, I don't imagine they'll have ONLY single life game-modes. I'm sure we'll see the return of multi-life death-matches and the like.
