I hate the vita! You vita guys are the reason they stopped making new games like this one for the PSP :(
this is far for being a ripoff of MH, this game actually has plot and imo is more polished than the random monster hunting game, just because the gameplay is similar isnt a ripoff, in that case all the Metal slug are ripoff of contra, all the rpg are ripoff of FF,etc
They used only one crappy bullet, and they said that you'll sometimes get stuck endlessly reviving people? Never happened to me. Those AI's are pretty smart. >_>
@boiko5008 - very good endorsement, did you write a review for the game? I'll be adding this to my wish list shortly :)
Guys...and girls this game is awesome I have made not 10 not 15 but 49 HOURS and counting. Ohh and get this I still haven't finished the story. Why? This game has so much to offer. I spend hours gathering materials from misions in order to make all kinds of Blades, Guns, Shields cuz there are 7 types of attributes ina a blade, gun ect. Like crush attacks, freeze attacks, spark attacks ect. You see different Aragami (enemy) has a given weaknes and strenght like it's vulnrable to spark attacks and pierce attacks are useless on it. So in order to be ready for every kind of enemy you will need a blade, gun shield as best as can be on every attribute and to make them all you'll need all kinds of stuff, some stuff are rare to find, some in order to get you'll need to destroy a specific part of your enemy, some you'll get from monsters, some you'll find on the ground. After you've done all THAT you have to upgrade your equipment from time to time and you'll need materials for that AND you still have this amazing story to go through, see whats new in the shop and the crafting options. Like I said all of this time spent and I still haven't finished the game ! Buy it BUY IT NOW :D :D :D
To insult the Japanese ways of naming franchises is a little ignorant if you ask me. To me it appears as if the English version of Japanese games are almost literal translations of their Japanese counterpart, thus making the title sounding a little weird in English as opposed to the Japanese reading their own language. You have to understand that some of our English phrases may not make sense to them and vice-versa. For example, in Spanish instead of saying "I am hungry". You would have to say, "...Tengo Hambre" which in the literal translation means "To have hunger." Which most of us would not claim that they "have hunger". Just think next time before you insult another language/culture.
TxtBin Sorry dude! The world isnt black and white! Get use to it! I see what u r saying but I rather have few people who know there stuff about these games rather than stupid people who dont like change and need guidance to theses games. The names of there games r really good but it is not what needs to change its people. If u want people to know about theses games than do something about it.
@aldreicht I know but you know, maybe they could reach out to a broader audience instead of giving the games random names, usually not related to the game in any way.
@TxtBin don't insult the japanese xD i think it's kinda awesome, with the way they come up with wierd (but awesome) names... it kinda makes it unique, you know? :D anyways the japanese have gameplay to back it up, so no prob at all ^_^
What the **** kind of name is Gods Eater Burst? The Japanese always come up with some bullcrap titles like Metal Gear Solid and Dragon Eater or Douche Hunter or w/e Ridiculous, I tell you!!
Next time, make this game for the PS3 with proper online support, and I promise you that more than a million gamers will buy Gods Eater Burst 2. (Consider renaming it God Eater Burst 2, though. It just sounds better.)
@Drkr_Zen I think Gamespot does a great job of reviewing PSP games, especially considering their relative lack of attention compared to the DS. Of course, they miss a few games, but most big releases get reviews. I'm more of a PS3 fan, but I must admit that most developers don't take enough time to iron out the bugs in PS3 ports. GameSpot also admits this, but they review the gameplay on the same level.
Well, let's not forget GameSpot isn't big on handheld gaming... rarely does a game get a good score from 'em on a DS or PSP, let alone ranted and raved about. Not to mention, they lean XBOX. To each his or her own, but in my book, if a game is good enough, even a handheld game can be a GOTY title, win awards, etc. And, let's not forget, they gave Lord of Arcana a low score, too... another game that definitely didn't deserve it.
Well, it isn't as visually appealing as Monster Hunter cause there's a lot of grey, and those facial animations are quite rough. It does seem better to play, in MH you play like you have an elephant on your back but this doesn't really grab my attention. GoW: Ghost of Sparta is in the top of my list.
Weeaboo styling, awful acting, cardboard storyline, and lock-on! How does this get compared to MH? This doesn't even look fun.
@BlazeODU The US as a whole (Media and government) is against games like this, that's a simple fact. So it stands to reason that they will use any excuse to bash it, as long as it makes it appear in a bad manner. Changing the title from 'God' to 'Gods' was a way to minimize the chance of Fox and the likes pulling the religion card and going ballistic on them.
@Lord_Sesshy The in-game rendered graphics in FF CC were no fancier then they are in any other mid to high budget psp game today.
@bolshacklancer you can play this on ps vita
It is available for the Vita, but only via digital download on the PSN. Great game, worth the 10 bucks it costs to get it.
