Can't agree with Chris and Carolyn. All we GOW fans want is simply more GOW! This is differente than, say, Assassin's Creed. AC needs reinvention, otherwise it gets boring. The GOW formula is really a lot more resilient, because when we play such a game, all we want is to shut the mind off and mash some buttons while watching a visual spectacle.
well if you enjoy that kind of gameplay, how can you not enjoy this demo? every god of war has been the same....i don't get the complaint
They are kinda dissing God of War, but yet Chris gets excited for pretty much ever FPS that releases. >_>
Sequels, sequels and sequels, a complete lack of innovation, I tired of Sequels, finishing a story is good for the game, they keep creating sequels to play safe, but that is just another way to die.
whereas Halo is new and fresh??give me a break please.yes GoW is the same tired formula since GoW2 but there are other games.Wasnt Dead space 2 and now 3 the Same crap?CoD????
the problem is that the gameplay has been near perfect since GOW1. Every installment afterwards has tweaked the gameplay a little but put more focus into graphics, story, and epic setpieces. However, if these "experts" had actually watched the demo, they would have realized how much new stuff was being shown. Picking up weapons off the ground, new attacks, leaving the blade in an enemy and slinging them all over the place/into other enemies( while fighting the elephant, he leaves one blade in a goat and continues to attack with the other) , the time-warping mechanic, some type of rage from picking up orbs (after he kills the brass-furnace statue), New enemy types, oh and the fact you get to fight a kraken...possibly from the inside out.
I think they are saving God of War 4 for the PS4. Thats the sense i get from Acension that this will hold you till then. Either way i am excited. I was a little worried about the it focusing on the MP side but seeing this makes me take back what i said about it before. Can't wait for this title.
beside guyz think about it
they didnt name it god of war 4 but ascension
so i bet gow4 is a ps4 title 100% sure
this game will do well no need worry about that BUT
they should focus on a new god of war for ps4 with new mythology
egypt? there are tons of it
an maybe kratos brother
Same here. I watched that whole thing thinking I SHOULD be excited...but maaaan. Never thought I would be so ho hum with a full lobotomy.
I was feeling the same thing. I love GOW but the fact that this is a prequel makes me feel "ehhh" about it. When you do prequels its really hard to bring the twists since you can't kill all those gods you are going to kill in the future game. I'll keep an eye out for it though.
I agree 100%
@the people from the video
God of War has always been a near perfect game for me, gameplay wise, and I've enjoyed all the games. When people complain about how it's the same game it really pisses me off. How about suggesting what they should do to improve the game then? Saying vague things like "branch out" isn't very helpful.
Please tell me how the developers should fix their consistently great games?
FPS games get recycled every year, but people don't care because they make the games look better every time. Halo 4 is a good example of this visually that game looks great do I care that it will probably play like Reach and all the other Halo games before it, no I don't. We've seen some nice new IPs at e3, but sometimes looks are deceiving, and it's nice to have some consistency to fall back on. That's what sequels are in the end, a guarantee that you won't be disappointed.
Can you explain how it "feels" like an expansion
btw how do expansions feel?
It's the God of War effect; everyone feels like getting ready for a sex minigame XD
@kingbobicus Haha didnt noticed that
@Gelugon_baat That's not a bad thing when it's predecessors were all amazing. That's what you meant right?
