Well i can say one thing is an improvement the face you have a lifebar instead of stupid little blocks
I've got the original Dead Rising on XB360, it's great, but i'm not sure if the wii is built for this. Now i'm not a fanboy, I also have a WII so I will check it out (Rent probally) but I don't think the controls will be any good.
This game Looks Kinda Fun Actually, I no Im Going To Get Insulting comments on this, but ino its a wii but the graphics really couldve been a bit better, like looks at what the wii is capable of metroid prime 3 zelda tp brawl galaxy etc. in horror games if the zombies dont have a nice realistic horror theyre not scary.
I don't know what all you guys are talking about. You think by saying the graphics are dated you are adding something new to the conversation. Of course the Wii cannot pull the best looking textures and lighting, but the game itself looks pretty sweet. I cannot wait to pick up my copy.
I'm not so much worried about the hosed graphics for this game because the graphics in the 360 were good but kind of quirky, and when you get in there busting heads it really doesnt matter. BUT what does concern me is the what i have continually seen in every preview of this game. THE LACK OF ZOMBIES. This video showed him running through an area of the game, that in the 360 version, had over 100 zombies stumbling around at any given time. Unfortunately in this version i can only see less 20 in the same area. Isn't that what this games about? I feel like this port is going to miss the point in a big way.
Resi 5... There's the port we should be anticipating. Resi 4 Wii should have already told capcom so. It's not the poor graphics we all lament, but the complete absence of atmosphere apparent in this game. In fact, its the complete lack of polish. I am sure I delt with more enemies at once than this on resi 4 back in the cube days, and that game looked a lot better. The gameplay was also much more fluid, whereas this seems clunky and without the flourish that makes you feel part of the game world. I don't care much for amazing graphics. I love zombies, I love survival horror, and I love good and involving gameplay, yet this game doesn't seem like it will excite me in any of these ways. Unless this gets some decent funding and new input perspectives it will have been such a missed opportunity. Shame. I really hope it turns around. At least Resi classics are getting the Resi 4 treatment on wii.
Very impressive! The 360 version looks a bit better in terms of lighting and textures, but the builds are all pretty much the same (which is good enough for me). The RE4 engine is great. It looks like it works really well here. I'm really eager to pick this version up when it comes out!
should have just rereleased it on xbox 360 with the improvements...IE larger text size and beter saving system...im tempted but it looks so dead.....haha
have some copy paste "Taken from the newest issue of Nintendo Power. The developers goal is to get 100 Zombies onscreen at once. Aiming will be similar to Resident Evil 4. (Hold B to pull out the gun, then aim with IR) The game is using the Resident Evil 4 engine. There are improvements with the game from the Xbox360 version including: Multiple difficulty levels, a better save system, larger text, and a more episodic approach to differentiate Missions and Sub-Missions. There are over 50 weapons. Some Weapons have new uses. A lead pipe and a 2x4 having the same function previously can now be turned into one weapon. For fighting, A is a quick attack and you swing the remote for a strong attack. Wiimote controls are also a big part of boss battles. There is no Photography this time around. There are more then 65 outfits/ costumes. It will be released this winter."
It might be fun, but it's a shame they took out some of the weapons, and there are so many less zombies on screen at any time.
This looks like a old arcade game, because of the graphics, gameplay, and the amount of enemies on screen... too bad for Wii :(
These graphics look terrible... the animations for every swing of an item are the same and accompanied by the same exact grunt. this really is a low budget game. Shouldn't be surprised though, it's Capcom. Looks like I'd get about 10 minutes of mindless fun before I threw this game out the window.
I love the fact that they added new enemies and reloading but is the story changed? What about The Mall Too???
if you really care about graphics why did you get a wii.... it has the worst graphics out of all the new consols.
Jesus ...what all about complaining about the freaking Graphics..u guys so sadly sad really....if u care only about graphics then buy only games wth hi-end graphics how about that...for the who has WoW (World of Warcraft)..u should trow away..cuz the graphics sucks right...why dont u trow away.....so sad jesus..for its about gameplay not about the looks of the game
weird, it looks really flat. I hope they don't change too much for the Wii crowd, I'd hate to see them miss out on such a great game.
Dead Rising on the 360 is my favorite game on the system. and this just doesnt look like a faithful recreation of the game. Some of it is do to the graphical limitations of the wii, but most of it is because the gameplay seems completely different with different boss battles and over simplified gameplay. though, it will probly change dramatically before its released. at least, we can hope so
Wow...this actually looks pretty fun. I am still a bit wary of buying it because the game seems kinda watered-down from the 360 version, but I could use some more Wii games so I'm willing to give it a try.
they added a zombie version of that dike cop. Wow....good because Im want to kill her for doing that stuff to that one chick on xbox 360 version.
Why are the graphics worse than Resident Evil 4's, which came out in '05 for a system with half the power? Capcom usually gives good ports... Still interested, but come on
