@PopeChadll... I couldn't agree more on the fact that blizzard takes so long to release games. I need diablo 3 now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello everybody, this is Maxwell McGee here and we're baked as **** at Gamescom...and Captain Newell over here knows it! Max your the best and I want your job!
Pardon my French steam but you can suck my salty chocolate balls!! we all know Dota 2 is ready to air, we all saw the tournament, works fine!! ive been amped on this game since i first heard about it like a year ago. I think uv got everyone sufficiency excited, its like the top played game ever!!! so cut the crap and just release it already!!! GOD, I swear they are worse than Blizzard with this waiting **** been waiting for Diablo 3 for so long i dont even give a **** anymore.
I am praying I get in closed beta, signed up probably 10 minutes after it opened. This game will be the end of me, im such a fanboy heh
Cant wait to for the Beta.......... i have played HoN and Lol as well but i would say Hon and dota has a much more deeper content than mastering the 3rd element in LoL. Overall Dota>Hon>Lol
@Just-one-bullet your information is poorly researched. You have the basic facts, but lack the weight behind them. The original developer of DotA does not develop for any game. His name is eul. Guinsoo ported the game to The Frozen Throne expansion and developed the game for for a little over a year. At the time it was one of many versions but his DotA All-Stars became the most popular. Guinsoo now develops for League of Legends and the maker of the Dota All-Stars website (not a dev) Pendragon alsow works for Riot Games now as well. IceFrog then took over in 2006. This was before there were leagues or tournaments or anything else. DotA was still a mod. IceFrog over the last five plus years has turned it into a respected game which opened the door for League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth. IceFrog did work for HoN in its early stages, but he left S2 Games because he disliked where they were taking the game. IceFrog now works Valve and is the head developer. His aim is to take the game he made relevant and release it from the shackles of the WC3 structure. Blizzard's only claim is to the names and likenesses of its trademarked characters used in the original DotA. The intellectual properties to the game itself Blizzard has no right to. Their anger is financially motivated. Guinsoo is a good developer - LoL is a quality game - but to give him credit for DotA is little more than a fallacy.
@AsheMan666 unfortunately, Dota fans (im talking about almost all my friends) liked it but they were not willing to pay for a new Dota since they don't really see any new gameplay elements even with the new graphics. they'd rather play dota or just play LoL........fortunately, this is the first time i want to play dota
IceFrog may not have created the game, but he's been in charge of DotA's development since 2005. Have you bothered to watch one of the tournament matches? The game is rock solid. A beta is probably only needed to test the game's infrastructure to make sure it can support the throng of players waiting to play.
You do realize that the people that made Dota split off to create League of Legends and Hero's of Newerth right? And if i remember correctly both companies plus Blizzard where quite pissed that this is going on, and i love how they have a tournament even before a beta is out.... so stupid
