What's really sad is I reserved it, got it, and as such I was suppose to get the CALM and REXON mechs. I put in the code and the download seemed to fail. Then the password was so called redeemed. Square said they were having issues, but now the last e mail says that they're not at liberty to do anything about a redeemed code, giving me another one or anything else. If your one chance to get your mechs owed to you, you're essentially screwed. Thanks allot Square Enix. Way to not have a back up plan.
U.C.S.: unified continental of states later called U.S.N O.C.U: Oceanic Community Union. Used to be called Bangkok Economic Bloc. Comprised mostly of South east asian island nations. Zaftra: used to be called Russia or U.S.S.R. D.H.Z: The peoples republic of Da Han Zhong. A united China and Taiwan.
The graphics looked sub-par. And I know video games aren't just about graphics, I'm just stating my opinion. I guess no substantial gameplay has been shown, am I right? Gameplay CAN make up for sub-par graphics, but poor levels on both and that makes for a skippable game.
Hmm, I've looking forward to this one, hope they won't disappoint us. I hope there are more in-game videos though, while trailers are cool, they are just videos that even previous generation machine are quiet capable of playing. What's important is the gameplay. I hope that this game will be a thoughtful modification to the old franchise instead of one that's milking on available fan-base and just flashy action to appeal to the wider public.
@BrokenRemains They aren't communists, but do have a lot of enemies. You can learn more about them in Front Mission 1st for the DS which lets you choose between the Aussies and America.
@brokenremains The game in the future, who knows maybe Australia all at once became powerful. Not only that but in the game they hold one of the largest mech companies. Also they aren't bad guys, just people fighting for what they believe.
@warlord2000 im sorry to bust your bubble but australia was probably the most pathetic addition to the allied forces lol
well the game looks sweet but heres its flaw: japan and australia are hardly superpowers and i dont see how they ever could be. the game has a good set up but i dont much care for its plot. if the bad guys were russians or chinese i would understand but japan? australia? ok maybe with the addition of the philippines, yeah that evens the odds. lol
Sorry to ruin hopes but there pretty much won't be an FM6. Front Mission 5 was meant to be the last game in the series, as it concluded everything in the plot.
mechwarrior for pc was the best mech game for pc, this is just a port from consoles nevertheless it could be good but not impressed for now
Interesting except AS IF the world would be divided along geographical boundries, I mean us Aussies siding with the damn JAPS! omg remember Kokoda please...ww2
Looks interesting, but its no Battletech. Plus, I preferred the old strategy rpg version. It will probably just be another horrible PC port as well. ~sigh~ Looks like a good story though.
Square Enix should've gotten the guys from Armored Core to help them out with the gameplay/Mech fighting, instead of ripping them off but making it less than watered down gameplay. The story should be decent but that's a given. Gameplay looked boring though. I'd wait to see the critic scores on this one if you're unsure, I hope it does well but.... it may flop like Lost Planet 2
this video does make the game seem more interesting, but i still dont see it living up to the original installments, or let alone other tps games.
At 3:47 I think he meant "a microcosm of everything else that's happening", not hyperbole. Looks like a decent RPG/FPS continuation of the classic strategy game series. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
Shame the Square didn't ask SEGA to do this for them ... Valkyria Chronicles's system would have been perfect for this.
looks pretty interesting, should wait and see what comes next... many beautiful games end up in disaster these days...
