Despite all the bad reviews, I'm still desperately looking for this game, and it's unfindable... I agree about the dubbing though. Seto is supposed to be a child, I don't understand why the English dubbers decided to give him an old man voice. The original Japanese voice was a better choice, but no way I'm going to play it in Japanese... I'd like to understand what I hear.
they gave the boy seto the voice from an old man, if you cant find voice actors that fit the game charactor then do text and no dialogue!! how stupid were those people who made this game ?
This looks like it has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it. Gameplay looks a bit like Silent Hill Shattered Memories
Typically Japanese voice actors are not much less corny then our own. Its just that we cant recognize the corniness in Japanese voice acting because of the language barrier so it ends up "feeling" more natural to us. Personally I don't think the voice acting was that bad, but I just don't like the male leads VA. I don't know what his name is but something about his voice just grates on my nerves. He was also the lead in Magna Carta and Last Remnant I think. I can't stand the lead characters of either of those games because of it... Its not his fault but damn, I don't know what to do when they put him in every damn game I look at.
Looks alright to me, voice acting is neither good nor bad (they were trying for drama that's why it sounds weird), still looking forward to this.
What? Having high standards for voice acting is a bad thing? If they can't find voice actors that can read the lines in a believable way, then I'd rather play the game with text and no dialogue.
@tooki jeez so picky the voices are good.... you need to break through that language fanboyism you guys make no sense... i mean japanese voices are usually pretty decent but most of the time the English ones are to..... unless of course it's a game like Baten Kaitos..... where they give a few people off the street 20 bucks to voice act the game i guess it's opinion in the end.... but there are way to many of you people that bag on English dub it gets old ;) i want this game bad! :o
So looking forward to this, preordered it two days ago (couldn't resist the soundtrack, even if it didn't have all the songs)!
They better have an option to play in Japanese with English subs if this is what the voice acting is going to be like.
His movement seems very static, and that voice-acting isn't winning anyone over, I don't think. Regardless, I'm still hoping that this video belies how fun the game is; the story itself seems to be interesting and has real potential.
