Aaron and Ryan mourn the loss of LucasArts by dedicating FPS Friday to Battlefront II!
Did you enjoy this video?
What is scandalous about this game is that a good player could take out heroes no problem. Long live the Storm Trooper <3
Bah, since Zak McKracken and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade it went slowly but irremediably downhill... SW games never really interested me, except KOTOR. So RIP LucasArts, long live good games (possibly)
do not forget Star Wars Republic Commando plz. that game was so cool!!
One of my favourite games of all time
Um. Battlefront 1 and 2 weren't made by Lucasarts, they just oversaw the project.
I watched all the remastered Star Wars movies for the first time in the chronologial order and I enjoied them all a lot
Bald guys an idiot
if you like battlefront 2, wouldn't you love battlefront 3 seeing the light?
Lucas is responsible for lucasarts shutdown because he was the person that forced them to only develop star wars titles even if they were awful like kinect star wars
probably had to cut budgets in places to get money for the films
People act like Disney is at fault here when really it was Lucas Arts. They've been crap for years and they absolutely refused to make Battlefront III or any other Star Wars games that we actually wanted for that matter.
I bet it was star wars kinect that killed them too.
Now SWBF3 will not be made soon... :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
Do they know how succesful this game would be? I STILL play STBF2 with bros for gods sake! They are sitting on a goldmine and how they don't see this BLOWS MY MIND. FRIGG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS GAME FOR TOO LONG!
At the moment they launched the space Hoth map I remembered how much I loved this game.
Dear god, I forgot how underpowered that rocket launcher was. So may sweet memories of this game.
the game actually plays really well if you have a gamepad and play in third person. even on characters with guns, you really don't have to play in first person because in 3rd person it's easier to keep track of the stuff around you and your teams advance
I remember glitching in the space battles to be able to walk on the ships outside in space haha
anyone remember thrillville fondly?
I loved playing as yoda and when u seen him on the enemy team u craped yourself :D
This was a great game. I was always hoping for a Battlefront 3.
Ahhh these were the days when Lucasarts made great games.
its called rebellion baby,
still play this love it
Ah watching this video brings back so many great memories, it deserved a sequel god damn it!!!. fuck you Disney and fuck you too Lukas Arts for making rubbish garbage like Star Wars Kinect and not Battlefront 3 :'(
The xbox version looks so much better than this
Stopped watching at about 6 minutes. The game is amazing, but this gameplay video is the hell of boredom.
Though both I and II were good, I like the first one more because the bots and class were more balanced and the maps were much better IMO. The jedi felt a little clunky, though i did love the space combat in the second game
Stop it gamespot you just make me more angry... And who the hell play this game in FPS mode? lol
Right, sod it i am installing this again. Hope people are online still
The last Star Wars game i really loved. So sad :(
Screw you Disney, Hope mickey mouse steps on a Lego
So you are mourning Lucas Arts' closure by reminding us about Battlefront and how #3 probably isn't happening? Well, that may have not been your intention, but that's what happened in my mind.
Starwars battlefront is a good actualy but maybe if you people REALY wants daily dose of it give it to activision and we gonna get sick of in 3 year
Wampas vs. Rebels. Many hours well spent :D
i dont understand why the scrapped battlefront 3 i mean didnt someone from lucasarts say that BF3 was 90% complete when they scrapped it
The first Battlefront was so much better, altho i did love the strategy game they added in the second.
God, watching this brings back so many memories that I'd forgotten. I remember that you could keep allied ships from launching without you even if another pilot jumped into it simply by keeping your reticule locked on it. And IIRC taking down the shield was accomplished by boarding the enemy cruiser and destroy points inside the ship. Hoth was the best sniper map, followed by Kashyyyk. Awww the memories. :)
@k0wing that game was simply one of the best games of it's generation.
@Death_Emu5 True, a lot of people forget that the only game(s) lost in the closing of Lucasarts was 1313 ( or a sequel to Republic Commando or a remake of X-Wing/TIE Fighter, these were titles some people wanted but were never coming out).... Basically KOTOR, Battlefront 3 can still happen heck JKII: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy as well as the Rogue Squadron series was not made by Lucasarts just published
@GOGOGOGURT Well making Battlefront III and selling millions would have made too much sense. Duh.
and the skinny dude with the bad hair is the WORST PLAYER EVER.... "these torpedoes don't go where you want them to".......
BECAUSE YOU ARE FLYING UPSIDE DOWN!
@winnazdaluza Fair enough. Simply, it wouldn't have been "FPS Friday" if I had been playing 3p. Also, the minimap makes up for some of the situational awareness loss.
@TheSkyrimStatue The PC version is the best m8 (owned both) just because u can get 64 bots on the PC version and u can only get 32 on the xbox version.
@cboye18 "FPS Friday" is the first reason. The second is, frankly, I prefer 1st person mode when I feel less like I'm controlling a Storm Trooper and more that I AM a Storm trooper. Cheers though. Play however you want!
@sloakz they are:) but the game's are laggy.
@tightwad34 Were you reaaaally holding out hope for a battlefront 3 before Lucas Arts closed?
@lmaoman123 Because they lied.
@LastPRmarine @Death_Emu5 And even with KotOR, those were made by Bioware/Obsidian so... Really, the last decent game Lucasarts actually made was The Force Unleashed, and even then, a lot of people didn't like that game either.
@timoteo2k1 Yeah, I'm not a total bad ass at a game I haven't played in six years :P
@Poodger Nope. My dissapointment has diminished by quite a bit. It will always suck if this game never gets made, though.
