I only play multiplayer shooters. Unless it's a tactical shooter. If it does have multiplayer, I still am going to pass. I don't know why these shooter games need so many techno gizmos any ways? It just feels like filler for lack of game design. If these people knew how to design a game they wouldn't need a bunch of crap. Counter-Strike / Halo / Doom / Unreal Tournament. These are games. They don't need drones or robots blowing people up. They just got simple design that works.
Just played this and much to my surprise, it's harder than most shooters out there. The AI pulls off some amazing things. The constant stream of enemies and the need to fulfill breaching objectives in convoluted maps makes for hectic action where you need to play smart, very unlike the linear nudging so common in FPS these days. And the general feel does do justice to the first Syndicate. The co-op map feels like a straight up 3D conversion of the original game's first map, actually. Starbreeze has already done some of the less formulaic shooters out there (The Darkness, Chronicles of Riddick), and it seems it's well on it way to do it again, now with unique co-op play to boot.
Demo is fairly fun, and made me somewhat interested in this game. Trying to connect this to the original is quite a stretch though.
There's still room for some more HUD elements, also is the kid shouting "i need a reboot" at 02:03 actual ingame voice acting or was some kid shouting this on a testing playsession through VOIP ? If the voice acting in the game is generally headed in this direction I hope these annoying, whiny shouts can be turned off. No PC demo yet ? Want to milk the console players first, I assume ? Any official word on DRM yet ? Whether this will use Origin, have activation limits or needs to be online to play ?
Wow i can still remember back when i still use windows 95 i play a game called syndicate wars lol. kinda brings back some memories lol i wanna play this xD
Just played the demo and its fun as hell!! Gonna get back on it and play again. This just sold me, can't wait for the release
