I managed to get the game early, Im a critical F****k and I can honestly say that this game is THE DOGS NUTS, and this is from a man who has looked forward to this game for what seems forever and spent silly money on a driving simulator
I agree. I played the demo and was shocked with the graphics. I don't know what kind of screen everyone else is playing on, I use a 42" 1080P, and it looks phenomenal. They should make a clutch pedal add-on for the microsoft wheel though. I don't want to spend $300 just so I can have a clutch pedal Microsoft.
@Joe - The point of having a professional driver give the thumbs up is to show that the game is technically correct. I wouldn't like Forza if it were not as realistic as possible. I don't care if I will never run a lap around Laguna Seca, but in the game it sure feels like I did. And it is nice to know that if you can run a 1:15 lap on Laguna Seca in Forza 3, chances are you can do it in real life by the time you get the hang of using the real steering wheel, gas, brake, and clutch. Not to mention the G-forces
I honestly don't see the point of a professional race driver giving a game the thumbs up. Does this guy actually play many Racing games ? How can you compare a games quality based solely on his word. The real verdict will be out when the actual gamers get their hands on Forza 3. Sure, The game may be technically correct and all that but will it be worthy of our money and will it be fun. It irks me when developers use this sort of marketing. After all, Most of us are not professional race drivers and we will never get to experience what it is really like to lap the great tracks in the world with these race cars. We only get to do it with our XBox, PS3 and Pc platforms.
Review the game already Gamespot! The other reviews are looking good but last time I trusted them I bought NFS Shift!
@ wildamnesia That would really be nice, if someone could pull something like that off, but pleeeeease, don't mention N4S games in the same sentence as GT or Forza. These two are racing sims while N4S is an arcade game, even Shift. They're all fancy and flashy, an can be a lot of fun, but are not simulations, everybody knows that.
GS should do a feature for all the driving games and get a pro driver to play the games and offer his(or her) opinion on each one. Game Developers can say what they want about their games but only a professional driver really knows how close to the real thing these games are. I'd like to know how GT, Forza, Shift and Race all measure up when put to the test by a pro.
Wow the time records in real and virtual life is nearly the same. This proves that the game is 99.9% realistic.
how much longer can they keep bullsh!ting the people and distract from the fact that they are content wh0ring money grabers? everything you'd actually want in the game is on DLC and VIP packs, the bare game is devoid of anything Forza2 already has car wise
That setup with the moving chair to create a sense of g forces and the 3 screens and racing wheel is SICK... Wish I was rich:P
