I understand that long time final fantasy fans might not like this style of gameplay but changing the formula could be good it doesn't look like Square is gonna fuck this up. Ps this game looks good as fuck, I want it
the art style is beautiful as well, when people look at this game in action they're still gonna know that it's final fantasy...whether you press a button to attack or press a button to "queue" an attack, it's always been about the story and character progression.
diggin the silkly smooth fps and graphics, the gameplay looks very exciting as well. the old final fantasies were great and all, but i'm glad they're going in a new direction. Another turn based affair after ff13 is not what we need (that atb bullshit was not the real-time action they advertised it to be...). probably sounds weird but this is exactly the type of final fantasy game i was hoping would come out once i saw advent children. plus this doesn't seem like GOW at all, does that mean Kingdom Hearts is like GOW? just cuz there's melee combat and it's in third person view? square hasn't even revealed the mechanics under this beast, so i think it's too soon to conclude that this is a god of war quicktime cop out...and btw i didn't see ANY quicktime events in this gameplay. please, enlighten me.
Worst FF gameplay ever. They should have called it something else. The johnny come lately's to FF want to change what FF and SE is all to happy to oblige them. FF should not be an action game.
why are all the creatures so big? the graphics are some of the best ive seen. this game is too good, im getting it. the creatures dont look big enough. the graphics are nothing special. this game sucks ass. im not getting it.
my hopes are still high, but my biggest problem with this is that this style only let's you control one character. if we are to have partners/teammates then they'll likely be controlled by AI. which i hate. it was my biggest problem with Kingdom Hearts and FFXIII. cant they just let me control everyone in my party? something similar to FFXII maybe?
Don't expect too much a lot. This game might become like "Asura's Wrath" which is also great but it's
more-movie-than-game. It may also be like Resident Evil 6 which has so many "Sooo many" quick time events that instead of watching the scene you're always waiting for the push-button trigger.
Just don't expect too much so you won't be disappointed when you play it.
Dear Gajan Kulasingham,
I'm not sure if you're responsible for the information on this page but if you are, it says under the title of the game it's on PS4 and XONE but in the description under the video, it sames coming to PS4 and Xbox 360...
*dumb founded* Woah............that's amazing, I think I understand a little more why people see Nintendo as a past gen console, and I kind of agree now, wow, just wow. I didn't even know we could make video games look that good.
holy wow this game is comin to ps4 i really wasn't expected this and the battle system is action paced now that was a big surprised i wasnt expecting this till hmmmm 7 years?..........Sarcasm!! For God sake give me a released date u Namura
This game has been long in the making, but it looks like the old Square may be back. The story line looks very interesting and the gameplay looks polished.
Get your first look at the battle system in this gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy XV, coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox one
Well after watching that trailer i think it is safe to say that i am officially excited for this game! Ive loved every final fantasy game so far and im sure Square Enix wont disappoint me on this one! Cant deny that teleporting shit!
Since we've known about FF XV for quite some time, albeit as 'Versus XIII,' I suspect that same logic can be applied to Agni's Philosophy. I suspect that's FF XVI. We'll probably hear an announcement about it at next year's E3.
With that being said, this game looks pretty good, but with SE you just never know. They have a great history of making a great (looking) game turn into absolute s***! So I'm not holding my breath for this one. Luckily the KH team was on the case with this one. That makes it a bit more promising.
I was looking at gameplay footage from Versus XIII, and I assume the mechanics are similar? There were commands: Attack, Item, Magic and Summon. The graphics are gorgeous. And I'm sold on the music. Glad this world isn't set in some non-relatable scifi era/location. Here's hoping this game is great!
I'm so happy that Square Enix didn't abandoned this game and let it die because it were a shame after 7 years back then when it was anounced and let us wait for so long but now that awaited moment is gone beacuse they let this game for the next gen console so they keep this game as they masterpiece and this final fantasy it's the best ever ,this is the best rpg action game that it will be ever and i'm so happy that it will came to xbox too ,thank you Square enix :D

Action based combat in Dissidia FF on PSP worked out very well and made it one of the best PSP games of all time for me. If they make the combat feel as fluid in XV as it was in Dissidia, it's going to be a great game.
From the trailer I get kind of mixed up impressions though, as to whether the combat is lacking something or it's just the player doing not so well.
Anyway, I'll see till after release and if it turns out to be good, it may be the reason for me to get a PS4.
I will agree with the people complaining about FF drifting away from what we have all come to know and love, but that being said I am interested to see how they do this real time combat. I believe it has great potential if executed properly. From the video the game play looks very promising, again granted that they execute it properly. The only thing that i am worried about at this point is the camera, because with this combat system being so new and open to maneuverability for the FF franchise the camera could completely ruin the experience and potentially do the game in all together. I also am hoping for a great story like they have delivered so many times for us in the past.
Eh, am I the only one who misses the turn-based style of the classic JRPGs? This just doesn't feel like Final Fantasy anymore to me.
@Speranza318 It doesn't even look like an RPG game. It is an action game. The Square of old made RPG games.
@zaxrider It's not a PS exclusive. Google it or better yet, look it up on amazon.
@xvoidassassinx6 well the people who made KH had a hand in this. I'm assuming they helped the gameplay mechanics. the KH series gameplay is pretty good. This looks even more fluid then that so. It'll probably be just fine
@Come_on_come_in next gen
@Come_on_come_in Just next-gen.
The best thing about ff has never been its combat u have to admit but then again I love my turn based battles lets just watch an see how this turns out
@monchoago You must have missed Crisis Core...
@SpardisJX I agree... Ni No Kuni is actually our kind of game then :D
@Shooter572 @zaxrider Well, no way I'm getting XO to be my next-gen console. Not that M$ has made the console available in my country to begin with...
@zaxrider its going to be for the 360 as well
@zaxrider its going to be on the 360
@Ohscary @monchoago @SpardisJX I hope SE do learn from all these as it seems they are now hooked on J-Pop xters since FF-X(least decent FF) and crappy game play (wonder who told them we all like their so called xters jumping or running around when not being used.)
Can't they just look at lost Odyssey and give us something that good?
Now I'll be happy with TB RPG that's half a s good as that.
Skipping this definitely.
