EA gave Tyson an overall rating of 88. That is total bull. The scrub boxers on there got better than an 88. Iron Mike was brutal in his prime, he deserves a rating close to the best fighters in the game. Was Ali or Frazier a 96 or 93 in the twilight of their careers? I don't think so.
Of course there's online my friend and it's everything you'd hope for...at least 3 was lets hope they don't ruin anything :D
ah bot fnr3 so was lookin forward 2d demo!! it was ok! but ah feel more like a puppet master than a boxer! :(
btw not saying it looks a bad game, love the PN series, just never have liked the analog style, too easy to use a move you dont want, down and up for uppercut, side and up for hook, then the one in the middle that can sometimes totally annoy you when you go for it. But you get round it, because it's such a good series.
kelseyjb im sooo with you man, too much complaining about the analog stick and players standing close with arms flailing. the analog stick has been there for years! learn to use it, it works a lot better. If you dont want the game to look like a slugfest with no strategy, then move! dont just stand there, circle! circle! jab jab! punch! block body shot block weave jab jab right hook, lean, counter, circle circle!!!!
Looks a LOT more polished than FN 3... EA have really lifted their game for this years releases i think.
Yeah good point 1blackone. Cos im sure everyone wants to play a boxing game where you get knocked to the canvas everytime the opponent gets a good connect. Thing you'll find its a developers job to capture the essence of said sport whilst keeping it fun and dynamic enough to play with a controller.Suppose you'd want your boxer in the game to develop brain damage and force you to start a new career after four fights?
Sweet, a little fast, but FN3 was too slow, the combo nice the dodge maybe little too fast, realistic graphics, look great (they should put Rocky Balboa lol)
DAMN I'm looking forward to this game. It looks like they got Ali down perfect. June 30th is too far away.
EA sports is removing the button controls feature and only using analog controls for Fight Night Round 4
I think the fight pacings good. Punches are a little faster than FNR3 but thats a good thing. Its not TOO fast and it makes you feel like a real boxer. This will be excellent.
I'm alright with the speed. What you have to understand is these are two of the greatest boxers of all time playing in their prime. It's also a career move in the sense when you build your character up, there needs to be a sense of progression. Having high speed sets the spectrum of character progression higher, so you gain a greater sense of development.
FIRST ALL OF YOYU WERE SAYING ITS TO SLOW NOW ITS TOO FAST OR THE GRAPHICS ARE NOT LIKE FNR3 PEOPLE PLEASE GIVE IT UP WITH ALL YOUR COMPLAING EVERYTHING EA DOES YOU COMPLAIN GO PLAY DON KINGS BOXING GAME BTW IT SUCKS THEN EVERYBODY WANTS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE ANALOG STICK THIS RIGHT STICK HAS BEEN GOING ON SENSE THE WHOLE FN SERIES STARTED NOW YOU WANNA COMPLAIN LETS SEE ALL YOU CRY BABYS GO OUT MAKE YOUR OWN BOXING GAME BETTER THAN EA THEN I CAN AGREE WITH YOU UNTIL SHUT THE F$CK UP PLEASE CANT STAND TO SEE PEOPLE GET ON HERE JUST TO TALK BAD ABOUT THE GAME WHEN EA GIVE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT IDIOTS OUT THERE JUST STILL FIND SOMRTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT!!!!!!!
i was big fan of FNR3 and i think the speed should add to the intensity, but u have to take into account that they are showing a demo so they wouldnt of exactly been looking to preserve stamina etc across 10 rounds so the amount of punches shown in the clip is ridiculous! should be a classic
Dont buy this game unless the buttons are implemented. The analog sucks!! Why the hell would they take the button controls out.EA ruin everything!
Alotta people who defended the previous Hatton v Pacquiao rock-em-sock-em demo said "once you LEARN to fight, people won't unrealistically throw 9 uppercuts in a row". They forget that its a devs job to FORCE you to play right. In real boxing, any ONE of these shots would send you to the canvas. I don't needto play it, from what i see im already dissapointed. If i wanted unrealistic damage assessment i'll play tekken or doa. Look at this video and ask yourself this. 1: wouldn't you think a game producer would know how to play the game? how is he playing it? and 2:since when, in the 'real world' had Tyson landed 4+ full stregth uppercuts on an ooponent and that same opponent was still standing? So sad..all that hype for a texture tune-up and a no-clipping patch.
So that demo was performed live then? It would have been funny if one of the boxers got his arm dislocated... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jir2qrKRYpc&feature=channel_page Physics at its finest! (sarcasm)
