I came, I saw and I came for real.
I wiped, I tucked and I ate my meal.
Read these words and begin to think,
What have I done to make you think?
They should write episodes based on conceits like this more often; the continuity between jokes was both impressive and satisfying.
Yay, they used my comment (the cycling one)!
I'm so happy, my pants are now soaked.
No...wait. That's sweat. Goddamn this heat.
Claiming to be sexually climaxed over a game trailer Is embarrassing as hell. Indeed they should be ashamed, even In jest that's some embarrassing shit.
This wasn't as funny as the other episodes because it's not based on outrage. Angry game nerds are the funniest. Please GS give the next near perfect AAA game an 8/10 so I can sit back and watch the fireworks.
Just like Zero Punctuation, it's not that funny when they show more love than hatred to the product.
Most comments aren't ridiculous as Johnny makes them sound. Johnny trolls everyone, maybe everyone should start trolling his ridiculous accent. And I'm talking about Johnny's accent, not english accent (Danny's, for instance, is OK). Johnny, you're just not this good.
I read some of the comments they post in Feedbackula, then look below at the comments for Feedbackula, and it makes me a little sad. If we're going to kill the English language, can we at least be merciful about it? Stop torturing the poor girl and just put a knife through her heart.
@RedWave247 hahah people like you makes me love the comment section on gamespot LOL
@Sanguis_Malus Lighten up Francis.
@santinegrete I don't know... I wouldn't say that's always the case. Yahtzee's XCOM review was positive and hilarious XD
On a second note, I think it's good to have some positive episode, if not feedbackula could grow stale.
That's a good point: the essence of drama (or comedy) is conflict! Think of Itchy and Scratchy.
@PowerDingALing ok, let go over this...
• Johnny is from Kent, its just how we talk
• Danny is Irish
@PowerDingALing Yes they are. More than half the people on the Internet seem to be uneducated, whiny or cruel, or a blinding mix of the three. I love this show because it shows just how stupid these comments are, with the occasional voice of reason.
@PowerDingALing Oh yes they are ... even without Johnny, it's about what it sounds like in my head. And his accent is just fine Mr. DingALing.
@jwrebholz I'm still trying to cope with the obviously now-permanent confusion between "then" and "than" (which seems to be going viral and afflicting more people each day), the confusion between "your" and "you're", and the confusion between "they're", "their", and "there". It almost seems like people didn't go to school or don't attend anymore, depending on age. I guess as long as you have a job and can afford a game console, it doesn't matter how bad your grammar is :-|
@HapiJoel @ForceSkin @flyingdutchdog3 OK, you like the show, I don't. Fine. I'm sorry if I offended someone with the accent story. I'm brazilian and I'm not much into the difference between irish and Kent's accent, and actually they're fine to me. I was just trying to make a point. I just don't like the "air of superiority" that Johnny passes me. That's all.
"your" is possession...."where is your football".....and "you're" is contraction for "you are"..."you are an idiot...or...."you're an idiot" - singular
"they're" is also contraction for "they are"...."they are morons"...or..."they're morons" - it is used in the plural sense
"their" is used when you are referring to more than one person..."their dog bites"
"there" is used when referring to a place....."the burger king is right over there"....
that's off the top of my head...don't ask me how I know this....I don't remember
@MrOnage @ashyblood You're TYPING words not speaking. Its not hard for people to correct words they misspelled. There's a thing called SPELL CHECK. See the squiggly red line under certain words? that's a clue for them to click the squiggly red line and it'll let them correct the words they just typed. Its not a difficult process to take advantage of.
@espiranza88 So since you think it is ok to butcher the language on the internet do you think its fine to butcher the language when you are filling out a job application? How about back in school when you were in English class and you had to write reports? I'm sure back then you were told to spell words correctly but once you got out of the public school system you became lazy and decided to spell words how you want to. It may fly on the internet but in the real world it doesn't fly that way
@phoiv It's quite easy to tell the difference between native English speaking and foreign English speaking people. Typing fast is a poor excuse for "buggering" the English language. At most, fast typing might just show typo errors and those are quite different then poor grammar.
@Kickable No they do not learn quickly. Just walk down the street and you will hear the same ignorant language from the masses. If the word "fuck" was taken out of most conversations people would have very little to say. A display of contempt is usually fostered through ignorance.
@espiranza88 If you could only leave out that word "fucking" and replace it with something more descriptive you might have a life after school.
@espiranza88 ... ... .... .....
@phoiv The ignorance doesn't only occur on Gamespot, it occurs all over the Internet. To assume that every person who commits grammatical ignorance is from a non-English speaking country is just as silly as assuming they ARE all from English countries. Further, I never said anything about "most", I said "plenty". DO try and be more attentive before your next attack...... :-|
@ashyblood@MrOnage You know mistakes happen when you type fast in a random site. People who correct other people over the internet with that attitude are the idiots , so its ok not to listen to them. And how are you so sure that most mistakes are from native english speaker? You know that people all over the world visit gamespot right?
@espiranza88 Still nice when people communicate clearly and with some semblance of grammar...
@ashyblood I completely agree! It is not lazy internet speak, it is a fundamental failure in their understanding of basic grammar. That being said, it's no use trying to educate people over the net when they obviously couldn't learn in a classroom environment.
My pet hate is the use of 'of' instead of ''ve'; should of, would of, could of... it's should've, would've, could've!!!
Still, I'm sure I make mistakes that annoy other people; I seem to be more fond of the semi-colon than most.
@MrOnage Plenty of people from English-speaking nations make these errors. Most non-English speaking people pardon readers when they know their English isn't perfect. It's the ignorant people who don't care about being wrong and more often "then" not (haha) English IS their fluent language. Even if you correct them, they don't listen. There is a difference between making a mistake and just plain ignorance. My high school coach always said "there's no excuse for ignorance", and I agree.
@espiranza88 Think you should take your own advice there on that last bit.
English isn't everybody's native language so you cannot expect everyone to speak flawless english.
no its not personal... you guys need to chill out and stop taking these kind of things seriously... its the fucking internet and its a fucking game site... get a life...
@espiranza88Ignorance is just annoying, that is all. Don't take it personal.
