Great story line, awesome game scenario this is going to be an interesting game.. Taking real life and making it a game. I will be buying this for sure. Can't wait Great job Ubisoft never seem to disappoint me.
I hope you can turn off the gay numbers coming out every time you shoot someone. When i shoot somebody I wanna see a wound, some blood spray, and a death animation. I don't want a number coming out.
If you're friends were killed on an unknown Island you would have to learn to adapt fast. Once you see something happen you usually learn faster. The body adjust to it's situations. As for shooting guns it isn't hard at all. I picked up a friends M1 Garand and I instantly knew how to use it. It's common knowlege. AK47's are easy guns to fire too (Why do they give them to kids in Afghanistan ?) On the other hand it is a video game but by the looks of the trailer the character seems to have been there for atleast a night. I'm sure he has adapted to somethings. As for the knife throwing it would take time but no one really sees what condition the character is in towards that clip.
ditch the silly story and its at least a solid fps... so far... and in video form. this guy is definitely a former seal/sas/spetsnaz type of guy.
I think that given the premise and fact that the main character is an average guy, the gameplay should be more about sneaking around and avoiding big fire fights. It may sound lame or boring to some, but running away is exactly what this dude (and sane people) would do irl if a camp full of pirates spotted him. Picking them off when there is only one (or even a few) in a given location is one thing, but the video makes Jason seem like Rambo. No one would open fire on a camp full of these guys, and survival instinct kicking in would make anyone run to survive. Sorry Jason, but you don't have a nanosuit.
Well when a very real survival instinct kicks in who knows what a person is capable of? I think they are putting an importance on character progression so that hopefully us gamers will be able to connect and empathise with this character. I like the idea and I think all the characters look great!
So they to assure us that the protagonist is not some "Sleek military guy", but a normal Average Joe tourist, who just wants to explore stuff - and at the very moment they utter those words, they show us a footage of this "Average Joe" sneaking up on, and killing two armed militants with one of their own knives, in less than a second... That's just real neato...
Look, I'm still pumped for this game, don't get me wrong. But why on earth did they make the player character some loudmouthed obnoxious Yankee backpacker dickhead who's never wielded anything more dangerous than a TV remote? How does that make it a more "credible experience"? I've never tried to cut someone's throat and then murder someone 20 feet away by throwing the knife into their chest (like Jason does in the video) but I gotta say I don't think it would end well for me.
I like it so far. I agree that the totally open world will be great. I am an explorer in games so this sounds good. We will see.
looks amazing so far, everything from the visuals to the concept of this island and the style of gameplay.
He is a regular guy... who can throw knives with killing precision :D I'm just kidding, I love Far Cry, played all of them, 2nd was the best, and I see 3rd with open world as something most desirable.
This is going to be one great game...I've played and enjoyed the other two, but this one, looks the best.
f**k that looks so awesome i just cant wait an the fact that you can get to any were you want is just awesome :)
Looks cool. Let's just hope that they have taken the PC more into account than they did with Crysis 2.
