I watched a history of Tomb Raider on YouTube a few months ago and they actually had the audacity to say that the earlier games were made at a time when QTEs were a popular mechanic. Um... NO. They may have been popular for developers to include in games but QTEs have NEVER been popular with gamers.

@endorbr its actually true,mate if u know ur history..tomb raider legend & anniversary were being made in era of the great RE4 & the 1st God of War where QTE were born 4rm & wow gamers around the world at that time..if u say the 1st GOW & RE4 is not popular by then i guess maybe u just stick with COD,perhaps?

Not saying that the games aren't popular. I'm saying that not even when they were a new thing were gamers impressed by or glad for QTEs. They have been the bane of gamers since they were created. Nothing wrenches you out of the gameplay more than "Please stop what you're doing and mash buttons as prompted on screen. Never no mind the cinematics going on that you can't really watch anyway because you're too busy trying to time pressing X so you don't have to do this all over again." And as for the attempted CoD insult I've never played a CoD game. Fine for those who like them but not my kind of game. But then I don't feel the need to bash other people for the games they play either.

Johnny, Maybe you are just bad at Tomb Raider in general. lol. I didn't find this one difficult at all to control, but when you couldn't jump up onto the ledge from the water, I just about lost my shit.
