@basher79.......im attending college full time and have a job and a girlfriend and i HATE WoW. to set you straight. maybe you are simply incapable of turning a computer on or something because playing pc games takes exactly the same amount of time to play a console game. in fact it takes significantly less time to play a pc game. i dont know how you console players can stand the long loading times on those games it drives me nuts considering that on average it only takes few seconds for a level to load on pc and thats including big levels. and when i get a SSD all levels will load instantly. you may not like it, but it is undeniable that consolization or mainstreaming or whatever you want to call it has reduce the difficulty of games. as buggy as new vegas was everyone has consistently praised the increased difficulty of that game. almost all the additions to that game from weapon mod kits, thirst/hunger/sleep etc. were taken from mods created by pc gamers....im only glad that console players get to taste a little of what pc gamers have had for years. PC snobs will stop complaining when we stop getting console ports with subpar graphics, no physics, same old boring AI and horrible UI.
Agreed, she is cute. Love the accent, too. But then again, some women love my southern drawl. I'll never understand why.
It seems as though Ms. Murray only just now realized the gravity of her position and title at Lionhead.
main question is your hero gona talk because if you are king and you cant talk like how are you king?!
I got my wife to play Fable 2 and one of her main complaints was menu navigation and leveling. I had to do that for her. Maybe this new edition is pandering to lazy wives that just want to run around in the world with little thought to weapons, leveling, and the like. Who knows, but I ain't enjoying what I'm hearing about this. I'll buy it for the wife though.
If Fable II had such great success, why would you change such an amazing system of leveling to something "less confusing". Maybe it's just me but "less confusing"=more boring!
"So hopefully this will un-confuse people instead of confusing them"........ -_-........... Hm let me see.......... Red= Melee, Blue= Magic, Yellow- Range, and Green= Overall EXP........... HEY I UNDERSTAND THAT PERFECTLY!!!!!! I HOPE THEY PUT THAT IN FABLE III ((:^D Hey wait whats this? )):^o Get followers to unlock chests and that way I can level up?????? Wait......... So you're tellin me that I need PEOPLE from all these other towns rather than Orbs that come from the rotting carcasses of these dead hobbes??? WTF IS THIS I DONT GET IT!!!!!!! >8^O
Followers + Chests = Rewards and you pick what rewards you want. Sanctuary = Interactive 3D Menu. The fact that this would confuse anyone confuses me?
one more thing so am i gonna have to travel to this retared f***ing sacntuary evry time i want to do anything? GGGAAAAAYYYY
i want f***ing exp when i kill things i dont want to run around looking for retarded ppl to help me open a f***ing chest to get my exp. Fabel II was my favorite game EVAR and lionhead is gonna make Fabel III a game i loath with every fiber of my being. ..... but ill probly buy it anyway =P
The previous leveling system was confusing? IS SHE F'ING SERIOUS? Only a 2 year old or a complete retard could be confused by collecting orbs & assigning points. How can they possibly think that a system that people know & have used for 2 games so far is suddenly confusing & changing it to this regurgitated dogs breakfast of a followers system is going to be less confusing? I was looking forward to Fable 3 but after hearing this I'm going to take my preorder at EB & swap it to Fallout Vegas. It seems that Molyneux has finally lost the last of his marbles.
@feleas in these circumstances, i'm sure we can agree that Louise is exceptionally cute, plsu she got a lovely voice!!! I'm hoping that the girls in Fable 3 looks better than predecessors, i had a LOL moment after returning from the tattered spire and seeing what was meant to be a "beautiful, fit and sexy Hammer", all I saw was a drag queen on steroids
Why to simplify easy (Fable: TLC), already simplified (Fable 2) upgrade system? I mean... it really wasn't sooooo hard to figure it out
This time last week i thought that the fable series was as possibly the best 3rd person real time rpg that it was possible to make. The choice system; the levelling up; the action etc. At the start of this week i started playing Dragon age origins and have finally (And rewardingly) come to understand how it works. In fable, its main selling point - its choice system - is one in which the game says to the player "ok, its time for you to make a choice. Look - this choice is good and this choice is evil. what will you do?" Dragon age actually doesnt inform the player of the choice they must make in this way and instead invites the player to actually use their intelligence to work things out - often with unassuming or hidden consequences. The reward therfore is much greater when the right choice is made beacuse the player has been trusted to know what they are doing. Thus, to have Lionhead inform me that i might get confused by the concept of equating coloured orbs to one of three skill trees is almost insulting. And seriously, what on earth is wrong with a standard menu? Oh, i forgot, because a menu would confuse me beacause i might not be able to understand it or indeed, be able to read. I should say that this is just my personal opinion of lionhead and meant no insult to anyone who does welcome the changes that they have made. All i can say is, i'll save my money for something else...
I can understand what they are doing but they just seem like they are going to mess it up the original leveling system was nice and easy it was fun and not confusing at all. But now with the "follower system" in place it seems like they are just trying to make the original fable players the ones that fell in love with the series at the start begin to hate it. They are on a path to "simplify" it but all they are doing to it is that seem to be over complicating it especially on there quest for a menu. If they wanted a better working one maybe they should have just based it off there old one and redesigned/perfected it to make it a lot better then what it was. This is just my own personal opinion here but they sure could have done better then what they make it seem like they are going to do. But I will always give a fable game a chance I just hope it is gonna be at least somewhat fun but it seems like they are gonna revert to making it suffer and fail. Let us hope.
@sir_inverno, I don't care if she has imperfect teeth, she looks hot to me. Us Brits don't all have crap teeth, but we also don't all get braces fitted almost from birth, unlike some. I hope you don't judge everyone by their teeth, cos that'd be pretty messed up. Fable 3 looks like it'll be an improvement in some ways, a step backwards in others. I am perplexed by all this talk of the orbs being confusing. It just wasn't. And I don't like the dumbing down so much, but I'm sure it'll still be awesome. Just not as awesome as Molyneux makes out, but we all know better than to believe everything he says now, right?!
i love fable but for me fable lost chapters is the best they should have left like that with the amours instead of stupid clothes
this is just in response to timmy_gwar 's post: I do see the reason for his post, I might have been a bit excessive to my wording of my previous post. But I really loved the first game and unfortunately they are taking the game in a different direction then I wanted. Obviously it's my opinion and you don't have to like it, but it seems like they are changing the target type of player, going away from what made the first game awesome. Maybe they don't care about me, the guy who likes rpg's with leveling and very ???confusing controls???. Anyways, just to recap, I dislike the way the game is heading and I don't think I will ever buy another 'Fable' game. Too bad, I guess they like to alienate the customer who fell in love with the original. And almost every change so far has made me dislike it even more.
@sodiumpentathol Your point bares no relation to my reply to spongebob53186, my gripe with him is not that games are beig dumbed down, but his arrogant, ignorant comments that insinuate that console gamers are moronic stoners who work in starbucks. I also find your comment insulting and equally arrogant, just because I have a very demanding work, family and social life does not mean I require dumbed down games. When will PC snobs pull their heads out of their arses?
I really hope they've done it right, i love co-op gaming above all.. Fable 2's co-op would of been better off left out, hope Fable 3's is decent.
I think fable needs more like a horse for transport walking is so boring and we lose interest in the game but i love fable and lionhead you guys rock
i think Lionhead really has to start listening to it's audience and costumers to see what WE want out of their product!
I'm super excited for this! Other than Halo it's the only 360 game I can't wait for. Fab;e 2 is one of my favorite games this gen and I think 3 would be even better with the changes.
Seriously, I'm not feeling this. If you played the first game in the PC you will know what I'm talking about. Since Fable 2 got "childish", I couldn't finish it.
@dovderg Took the words right out of my mouth. The sanctuary thing thing looks like a cheap way to say "we couldn't make a menu that works, so we made with bloated, confusing, and cumbersome virtual menu." I'm sorry if I'm not giving the game a chance, every Fable game has promised so much and delivered so little... All they really need to do is make the game they said they were going to make with Fable 1. Instead they just keep trying to reinvent eveything when they should focus more on perfecting what the already have.
hmmmm not sure about this game. i wish they put in a better way to interact with people. it does look like it has alot of polish tho
