I want one of these for the Xbox One presentation please. I mean GameSpot, you are not going to be biased towards the Xbox right?
I want to know how many times they actually said PlayStation.. I watched it live for the first hour and it was looooaaaaaads!!
They forgot the keyest part of my playstation ecosystem, WipEout.
I'm holding out on ps4 until WipEout, which, I hope is just ti'll e3
I did lol to myself when the Eco-system part come up on the live feed... come on! Its not the early/mid 00's anymore... people don't want their console to be an Eco-system lol...
That said... all conferences are full to the brim with the same spheel... and im looking forward to replacing my 3 with a 4!
No to be fair all conferences are like this.
None of them can ever pull anything off without sounding *painfully* stiff and awkward.
Makes it really difficult to get through the 2 hours.
Just glad they didn't pull some idiot loud-mouth rapper on stage to try to appeal to the "urban community"...
Sony have always had awkward stage presentations. The winner was the two stoners who presented the PS Move a few years back. That made me cringe so much that it put me off the system for a while.
What the hell was wrong with Nate Fox? He really killed the buzz of the entire event. I've felt more drama in a daytime soap opera.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought your man from Square Enix Montreal was a tad soul devouring.
Thanks for this video. It highlights the best parts of the entire conference.
When watching the conference, that tear gas comment and the monologue after was indeed awkward, exaggerated, and pitiful as if the person went through some hell. The last scene was brilliant from it.
I hate the whole 'ecosystem' label. I first heard it being used on one of the IGN podcasts. Every time I hear someone use it in a gaming context, I want to do violent things to them. Yeah, I hate it. Ecosystem....STFU.
Oh my god!!
I Laughed so hard at the Watch Dogs guy!!!!
and the tear gas dude at the end as well!!!!
Dude...can't anyone just say something along the lines of, "See this shit? Look at those textures, and check the draw distance and see how far off objects are visible. Upgrades, in a major way. And look at all this cool shit you can do instead of just play games. Watch this tech demo."
But nah. They have to make it sound more incredible than the Second Coming of Jesus while still appealing and translating to all the remedial class assholes and mindless corporate drones. Ok, maybe that's harsh.
But still, they need to stop patronizing us right fucking now. We want examples and cold hard facts, not posturing. Lotta shiny words, nothin' in the way of meaning. Gibberish.
Best parts of Playstation Meeting 2013:
Nate Fox's severe drama and Matt Southern getting excited about deploying his photometric apparatus on cars.
LMAO!! I'm not sure why Gamespot is surprised at this from Sony. They are the KING OF PR SPIN. No other company does as much PR SPIN on their hardware then Sony. They use big words that are really meaningless to most gamers, to make themselves look good. They never delivery anything that's equal to the massive amount of HYPE they try to generate. You'll find out after the PS4 is launched that a lot of the things they have said about it here and at this years E3 is far, far from being true. It how Sony rolls. It's hilarious though. Being someone who has been to about 12 E3's I've seen it many, many time.
That bald dude from Sucker Punch really got into his role, he probably thought he was auditioning for something.
@Midnight_Twelve With Studio Liverpool's closure, we might not see another Wipeout for a while.
@Midnight_Twelve I was also surprised by the lack of any Gran Turismo too, and the fact it looks like Drive Club has taken GT's seat!
@PlatinumPaladin Killed the buzz? He WAS the buzz! Nate Fox honestly delivered the best introduction to any game. like ever. And the game he was introducing also happened to make his intro remarkably relevant and is also one of the most anticipated games coming.
@Sorrow_Echo Agreed. I had already seen Nate Fox's real intro twice before this.. so I wasn't expecting this to be so funny.
The level of humor here far exceeds anything that normally passes as being "funny" at Gamespot.
@RuthlessRich What, get teargassed by the cops....for thinking about joining a political rally?
@heresjonny99 This man speaks the truth.
Ecosystem my ass. It's called my living room, douches!
@samueljeon actually, the architecture will be similar but the specs will be far greater (especially during the duration of its life cycle) for the PS4. It's all about 1.86 Teraflops and the 8GB of GDDR5. (720 will have gddr3)
@McStrongfastNate Fox should win an Oscar this Sunday! He totally got snubbed.
Well at least PS3 the origional had build in wireless, blueray, didn't require battery's for ya controller, didn't make you go out every other week to buy a new harddrive, release bull like the attatched HD dvd drive, release a console that had more flaws than any in the past releases, make you pay to play online... in all honesty I think the Xbox is the king of all bull when it come's to releasing new console's...
@blackaceapple is the king of pr speech sory
@Raven_1981 Yes, they will, but it won't be anywhere as much as Sony does.
Stop acting like you actually know anything about anything Blackace, you dumb lil fan boy.
@LukeWesty hahaha well played boys
